It was wonderful. The service was great, but the food and drinks were even better. There’s a lot of passion that went into creating a faire that is delightful on the palette, and beautiful in its presentation. The flavors were great, the chicken juicy, and their drinks were delicious and just the right strength. Love this place and live even more that they pay their employees a living wage and share tips (says on the menu). This place not only provides great food, but does the right thing for its people. I find great comfort in knowing that not only the experience of its diners, but the experience of their employees matter. We will absolutely come here again.

Who doesn’t love fried chicken? Between the ambience, service and the food, it was Ana amazing experience. There is a bar and seating upstairs that has a nice ambience. Don’t miss out on the mac n’ cheese, it was delicious with baked breadcrumbs on the top. The fried chicken had a perfect batter and was juicy inside. My partner had the baked chicken and same conclusion. They have outdoor covered and heated seating too.

My wife and I enjoy this place. Fun date night. Great cocktails of all kinds. Delicious Hush puppies.. There are different chicken dishes. I had the Golden chicken. Super crispy, super spicy. (Habenaro). My wife had the chicken bacon burger. Great flavors. Great staff. We Enjoyed our visit. Check it out.

Excellent restaurant in Bellingham that is newer in the last few years. Also kid friendly, brought my 6 week old and was a good vibe. The food portions are massive as well. Had the hot chicken and it was VERY hot. If you like spice that is the meal for you!

Got the Deluxe Fried Chicken Sandwich…Holy cow. It was the biggest and most delicious chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was incredible. Huge fried chicken breast, cheese, bacon, an over easy egg, lettuce, and sauce. Also the fries were amazing too. I only got the one meal and it was $27 dollars (including their pre-calculated tip and $2 worth of ranch). I will say getting parking was a nightmare though. My takeout order was waiting like 15 minutes for me while I was trying to find a spot. It still tasted good luckily.

Chicken, who doesn't like chicken? This welcoming restaurant serves up some tasty chicken. Service was prompt and pleasant. Food was delicious. I enjoyed the hot fried chicken and rotisserie chicken. The mac and cheese is a must. I would say it's a little expensive for what you get. A Costco rotisserie chicken is $5 theirs is $42. Yes it tastes better and comes with sides, but I can't say it wasn't in the back of my mind. The restaurant is small so there might be a wait for a table during busy hours. I would recommend this restaurant

We always enjoy the food, service, and ambiance at Bantam. The deviled eggs are amazing. A lot of work clearly goes into preparing them and the flavors and textures are wonderful. I also love their hush puppies. Very crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, just as they should be. You'll have the most moist chicken here that you've ever had too. Drinks are always good and they rotate seasonally, so it's never the same menu, which keeps it fresh. I feel like they taste even better when enjoyed upstairs in the ambiance of the bar, fireplace, and books on the shelves. The service and how they run Bantam is what sticks out most to me though. I remember the first time we went shortly after they first opened, they must have had a busy night and the food took a long time to come out. We weren't upset at all, but we requested our food to go when it was ready because sleepiness hit me all of a sudden. I had worked a really long day and I was so tired all of a sudden and I was worried I was going to fall asleep. They insisted on giving us the meal for free, to which we felt bad because we weren't upset. It was my fault as I shouldn't have decided to go out that evening, but they insisted, and the manager came out. A real nice guy. We left a generous gratuity, but we have been back many times because of what is important to them and how good their service is. I'll be honest- I do not know how the owner remembers our name when we come in. He must have a photographic memory. Impressive. Love this place.

Outstanding! My expectations were vastly exceeded. Who knew fried chicken could be sooooo good. I had the fried chicken sandwich and the baked beans. And the mac and cheese. And the poutine. They had to roll me out of there. So good. Do yourself a favor and go. Ben, the owner was super nice and friendly as well. Also, if you show your Bantam receipt at next door Mallards they will give you 20% off your ice cream as they are owned by the same people.

AMAZING fried chicken, wonderful cocktails, and delicious side dishes! Highly recommend the fried chicken, of course - we love the golden chicken (VERY spicy), fried chicken meal, and hot chicken especially. The rotisserie cauliflower is one of our favorite sides, and we love the beets. For two, one order of fried chicken and some sides or small plates is a perfect dinner. Great service, too.

We came into Bantam with a reservation for two up in the bar. We were a tad early so they sat us at the counter, and we ordered drinks. The staff was great. Gray and Andrea were absolutely fantastic. We got to go to our table and ordered our food. Even though we had reserved a whole chicken there were lots of people and we only got half a chicken so we got fried Chicken along with that. It was amazing. We also got the sides of mac and cheese and the beans. Both chicken were moist and tender. The fried Chicken was so delicious, drizzled with the honey and even dipped in the white wine pan sauce that came with the rotisserie chicken. We were definitely taking care of and it made celebrating my husband's birthday so nice. We will definitely be recommending Bantam to everyone. And we will be coming back for sure.

Amazing cocktails, fried chicken sandwiches, and the staff was super friendly and enjoyable! The staff made my wife’s birthday extra special with a surprise birthday biscuit! My only “complaint” is that you have to pay extra for the spicy chicken sandwich and it literally tasted nearly the same as the original. My wife doesn’t like spicy food at all and even she couldn’t notice the difference between original and spicy aside from the noticeable color difference with the seasoning.

BEST hot chicken I've had since visiting Nashville! Both the hot chicken and the caesar salad with fried chicken were SO delicious. Service was friendly, ambiance was cozy and the drinks were tasty (and pretty!) They also have a lovely upstairs area if you're looking for a good date night spot.

One of the best dinners we ever had! We enjoyed sitting at the very nice bar and started our dinner with a couple of great cocktails. We had the beets with goat cheese as an appetizer - divine! I asked for a spoon to make sure nothing was left… Both, the fried chicken and the rotisserie chicken are fantastic. Service was attentive, super friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy. Overall, a really great dining experience - highly recommended!

Pro tip: add the leftover garlic from the bottom of the garlic fries basket to your mac and cheese for the best leftovers you’ll ever have. Our server was great! She was hustling with a table of 12 or so people and still was very attentive to our little table of two. Yummy drinks too!

The food was really good but really over priced for a small half rotisserie chicken. The server was really polite and was spot on. I just wish they would have provided ice in the water as it tasted really warm. Also the pop is served by the can which it didn't say that in the menu. If I would have known that I wouldn't have ordered it. Not for $3. It was hard to see my food as the lighting was really dim.
