When you are always on the road you eat a lot of sandwiches, I mean a lot. Avenue bread has religuously been my go to sandwich spot for years now. Try the Avenue club or the gourmet tuckey on sourdough and included is a bag a chips. The eggunue, their signature breakfast sandwich, is incredible and 2 of those babies will fill you up. The service is fast and easy, oh and you can watch them make your giant sandwich from over the counter. Take these sandwiches to go and continue on your day with a happy belly.

After 10+ years of supporting this business, a sour, and rude experience has ruined this establishment for my family and I. The only other customer in the establishment witnessed what happened and was left stunned. A shame. This was one of my families favorite breakfast spots. We will not be coming back. Edit: this happened between 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM 9/11/23. Downtown Location.

I wanted something simple for breakfast and I figured I would check out avenue bread as I haven't really gone here often. I went with my daughter on a busy Saturday, she's two so I always think it's nice to go to places that are kind of loud with her- business was poppin' as with most places on railroad on Saturday. Great family environment and warm tones all around with the brick wall woody tones and some nice art as decor. First thing that hits ya is the place smells great when you walk in. Anyway I got this omelette called the kalamata or something like that I don't remember the name but I remember the insides as it was pretty bomb 💣 arugula, black beans, sausage, and caramelized onions. Super good, great texture profile. I judge a breakfast place by their coffee and hash browns- I'm not really an Americano guy but today I was feeling plain so I got one, no cream or sugar. I don't know what beans they use but that coffee is fragrant and has a really nice flavor it's definitely not a dark roast. The hash, bruh the hash- perfect crisp man. 10/10 for a place to take your kid or have a coffee with your friends to have a good laugh over conversation. Will come again. 😎 Oh yeah the employees are all great too, nice people and it surprising how fast my stuff came out when it was packed as hell!

Great food. Almost always pleasantly surprised with how good the items come out. Love the Gourmet Turkey sandwich. There is a noticable lack of coat hangers, when busy it's quite frustrating.

Great breakfast spot. All the ingredients are fresh and cooked to order. Breakfast sandwiches made on house-baked bread.

O.M.Gosh ... these sandwiches are amazing! We had five different sandwiches and we were all amazingly happy with them. It was a bit pricey ... $98 for five, but I presume that's still Covid pricing. I would have given Five Stars if it weren't for the cost. But I would definitely recommend this place for lunch.

Their hash browns and eggs breakfast was ok but too oily. There are better breakfast options nearby for the same price. Their day-old pastries ($3 for 2) and breads are a good deal.

Popular spot for lunch. Great sandwich and friendly service. Recommend getting to go as people are quick to snag tables just to sit and wait in the back.

Very good bread but there aren’t many different options in general and they seem to always be closed when I am interested in eating there again. A place to try until you have tried everything.

I love Avenue, it was one of the first places I had breakfast when we moved here and it’s still one of the best spots in town. The bread is obviously amazing, the coffee is splendid, service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is lovely. All the stars for sure!

An old haunt of mine. Servers are friendly, food is good. Today you have to go through the homeless gauntlet to visit this establishment, and that destroys all other redeeming attributes. Management, take note and relocate!

The sandwiches were big enough to split between two people. It was very good. I wish they had more artisan bread.

We go to Avenue bread in Lynden all the time and order the blta and it is always packed with bacon and the one in Bellingham is Totally empty in comparison ‼️ I don’t recommend going to this location ‼️💯

Extremely good food! Got the Gruff grinder and chips, and they have great local coffee too. Inside the restaurant is a real vibe too. 10/10

Bread tastes good, but I just got another loaf and saw something blue/purple baked in into it. I dug it out and it was the tip of a rubber glove. Gross.
