This place is worth crossing the border to experience as their culinary offering is absolutely fabulous. I'm so happy that I googled and found this food as it makes the trader Joe's run much more fun. I highly recommend this fine establishment and it's customer service.

Avenue Bread is a solid Bellingham breakfast choice. The Tofu Breakfast sandwich was delicious and my partner has high regards for the classic Egg Benedict. Definitely try the made in house English muffin if you get the chance. Also the London fog was perfect! My only critique is for the price it doesn’t feel like it should be a counter serve or self bus situation. But for sure will be returning!

I passed by this business several times thinking it was a bakery. What I found was the best spot for breakfast or lunch in Bellingham. Clean, spacious and has a charming decor but this is nothing compared to the impressive menu selection, quality and quantity of the food and outstanding service. Perfect spot to meet friends for coffee or a meal. The prices are very competitive and they donate part of their bread sales to charity each month. I highly recommend Avenue Bread. I know I will visit regularly.

Such a lovely, quaint, extremely well kept Bellingham / Fairhaven food establishment. Not a day goes by that we don't have at least one slice of Avenue Bread in our home (our fav is the Sea Salt / Rosemary), or the Avenue Bread Rosemary Muffins, yummmm. Today I had breakfast, combined with a well made latte, and it could not have been better. Service is top notch, and the ingredients are fresh, fresh, fresh.

The food is just amazing. One of the best sandwiches I have had. Wonderful atmosphere inside and wonderful food wherever you may eat it. The BLT&T is just delicious and since I've gone for the first time I regularly find myself craving one.

I always get the Sunnyland omelette here and my wife gets the eggs Benedict with a rosemary English muffin. Both are excellent, as I’m sure the rest of their menu is as well. We go there every time we’re in Bellingham visiting our daughter. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast.

The food here is really good. All sorts of things to choose from. You can also purchase bread, and ready made dishes like lasagna. I recommend checking out their breakfasts, like eggs Benny.

Lovely atmosphere in the shop, staff was smiling and very pleasant to talk to. We stopped here on our way for hike to grab sandwiches. Prices might be a bit too much, considering the size of foccacia. Though the taste was totally worth it! I also tried their coffee - strong and delicious in taste!

Had an awesome lunch here! Showed up around 1:30 and it was bustling but there’s plenty of room inside so it wasn’t hard to find a seat. They have so many sandwiches and delicious-looking baked goods to choose from, including a pretty decent selection for vegetarians and some for vegans! Also a full coffee/tea menu, but the drink menu is only on a small paper at the register and not on the large chalkboards, so I didn’t realize they had it until I was placing my order. But the worker was very patient and helpful while I was deciding on a drink. I got a veggie grinder, a pumpkin cookie, and an iced coconut milk latte and it was all amazing. The grinder was the perfect veggie sandwich, it’s vegan but I can’t imagine anyone feeling like anything is missing. Delicious blend of roasted and fresh veggies, especially those caramelized onions! Pumpkin cookie was soft, more like a cake than a cookie. Very fresh and tender not overly sugary, and they used the perfect amount of cream cheese frosting. Very smooth latte. I’m glad I stopped by!

Solid tasty food! They have someone for everyone depending on what you feel like or how hungry you are. The hot apple cider was great, not too sweet, perfect for autumn 🍂!

Avenue Bread is one of our favorite places to get a yummy sandwich. I was given a gift certificate or gift card to go here so we went to this location to try it out. We hadn't been here before but it was very nice. Delicious sandwich, helpful friendly staff, clean comfortable dining experience. Look forward to coming back.

Most of my visits at avenue bread locations have been great. They always honour what I ask as I am particular of what I eat…. This time when I showed up at the James street location and I saw my options and was ready to order as I was very hungry. And when I ask for the same specifics I have asked even at this location several times the guy just said sorry they only prep how they prep their orders and basically didn’t want to accommodate my request. They he looked at the people behind me and didn’t even bother to look back at me in case I still want to order…. Well I can spend my hard earn money else where right ….

For a $17 salad, I expected more- My work treated us to lunch via delivery. I ordered the Sedona salad. When I went to open it a lot of the pieces of lettuce, were brown and wilted. I called them and they told me to come back, and they would replace it. I ended up ordering a sandwich because I was a little put off at this point. I drove down there to pick it up and the girl behind the counter (curly hair in bun) was pretty rude and short with me., cut me off in the middle of a sentence "yeah! I got it". After I was given the sandwich, I handed the salad that I had been asked to bring back to a blonde woman and she was very apologetic and nice. This place usually is amazing but either the person on the salad station just didn't care or was completely oblivious.

Always decent food. Pretty darn disappointing they won't serve hash browns to go. Would love to have been given the reasoning behind this instead of dry statement of policy after driving all the way here as my partner had a hash brown craving.

I had the tuna grill sandwich and it was delicious! The bread was so soft and fresh! The whole sandwich was light but filling. Service was pleasant and super fast. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in the area!

I tend to usually just snag eggenues from Avenue Bread, despite the fact that I super hate the word eggenue. But what you get is plenty of options for a breakfast sandwich at the great price of like six bucks. With your choice of bread and many options for fillings, you’ll be able to find a breakfast sandwich that is perfect for you. Coffee wise they charge extra for alternative milk and flavor if you want it. The service was fantastic, those who helped me did their jobs efficiently, kindly, and effectively. I mean I wakes out with a delicious coffee and sandwich, what mote could I want?

Was not expecting this to be a diner but it looks like a long standing neighborhood hangout. Extensive menu and fast wifi too! Good place to spend the morning

My go-to breakfast place whenever I am in Bellingham area. Food is always great - and great value. Coffee is serviceable - nice "diner" coffee. Have a hearty breakfast here and you are ready to scoot over to Trader Joe's for some shopping.
