My husband and I stayed here visiting some friends and on a work trip. We LOVED our stay. The rooms were cute and cozy. The wifi and desk were perfect for working from the room. We really enjoyed the location too because there are plenty of food and shopping options nearby but it's so easy to get anywhere from here. The owner is an absolute gem of a man and he has very friendly staff. 10/10 we will stay here again!

Room was certainly decent enough for an airport overnight. Check in was easy and the gentleman at the desk (owner I think) was great. We had a very early flight and he took us to the breakfast room to grab something for our breakfast! Would definitely stay there again.

Management is beyond good. Staff are very kind and professional Serive is impeccable. Rooms are super clean. Everything works well; valves, TV, AC, toilet, etc. Parking spaces are well designed. Price is perfect. Breakfast is healthy. Great restaurants just a short walk away.

This hotel is in a convenient area right off I5 in an area full of restaurants and pretty close to Fairhaven. The hotel is extremely clean and the bed I had was great. The free breakfast had quite a few choices including pastries, boiled eggs, fruit, and good coffee.

Great place to stay run by great owner and team. It's low-frills but super clean. The owner let me park in his spot because I had a lot of gear to move. The staff helped me lug equipment and gear into my room. People generally seem happy to be there and that usually means it's a well run place with good owners and it translates into good service, it feels like a mom n pop kind of place. I got there 1 day later due to car problems (I called them) and also decided to stay an extra day on a whim... they were packed but still made it work and didn't charge me any change fees. Super close to all kinds of food and bars and coffee, also shopping malls. Also pretty good free breakfast for a motel. They have a sauna too. I will be staying here every time I'm in town.

Considering that this was ridiculously cheap price per night, it was amazing. The owner was very friendly, got us checked in and checked out very quickly. Despite being right next to a big road it was fairly quiet at night. There are slight chips and scratches on furniture and countertops which show its age, but sanitation-wise it was extremely clean. I would definitely stay here again

We had a great experience at the Coachman Inn. Just know that when you are booking this place, you are booking a budget motel but the staff/ownership meticulously care for the space. The price was reasonable, the staff were kind and helpful, the pool was excellent, the room itself is nothing to write home about but it was clean and the beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast is well organized. This is a much better option than many other accommodations in the area!

The rooms and all buildings super clean and well kept. Older property but everything was spotless and well maintained. Rooms cleaned daily. Staff is super friendly, very accommodating and family owned. Perfect for a lower cost stay. Would stay here again.

This is the cleanest economy hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is a small fitness room with well maintained equipment, a small, but well maintained pool, a breakfast of cereals, fruit, toast, bagels, etc. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Super happy with our stay. The staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly. Would not take a tip for bringing our luggage to our rooms. The breakfast was better than most chain hotels., Room was clean and appointed well for the price. The neighborhood was quiet, lots of restaurants right across the street, including an Arboretum that you can walk around. The neighborhood was safe. Would stay again 100%.

This place was very clean and it looks like they are making improvements around the property. Itโ€™s close to the freeway but it wasnโ€™t loud in the rooms. For the cost it was a great value and they have secure doors for all of the buildings. Hot shower, cable, high speed WiFi and a decently comfortable bed. Iโ€™d stay here again.

This place was a delight. It might be a 2 star inn but acts like 4 star. Extremely friendly staff, clean rooms, just wonderful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were happy to discover the Coachman Inn, a centrally located, meticulously clean and well maintained motel at an affordable price. The room was simply furnished, included room darkening drapes and a coffee maker. Beds were comfortable. Not fancy, but perfect for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is provided, although we were having brunch with nearby family, so didn't partake. There is easy access from I-5 and from the hotel to central Bellingham, as well as to many eateries, a pharmacy, and other necessities nearby. We left abruptly a day early due to winter weather warning and left some items behind in the room. Although we regretted having to ask, the owner was very gracious about promptly mailing the items to us. Coachman Inn will definitely be our go-to lodging for future trips to Bellingham.

Excellent property with very attentive owners. The same guy (owner/manager) was on duty literally every time I went into the office and was super friendly and attentive and did a great job ensuring breakfast was ready and helped with checking in and with facility questions. Property is a hotel building broken into 3 or 4 sections so you'll always be about a 1-2 minute walk from the car. I didn't verify whether the property had an elevator but property management seemed super eager to help and would likely be willing to accommodate first floor requests. Definitely would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the pool was heated and my daughter swam in it at night. The breakfast had a very nice selection with different milks, juices in bottles instead of a machine, refrigerated coffee creamer instead of packaged, pastries, fruit, and cereals. No hot savory foods but there were boiled eggs. On top of that the price was so affordable. If we're ever back here we will definitely stay here again.

Excellent property in this price range. My wife commented several times how clean the overall property and our room was. We had just come from Seattle where we spent twice as much and the room service was non existent. The Coachman Inn was immaculate - inside and out. The room service was great. The breakfast bar, while limited was also well kept and the bagels, fruit and juices, etc. were fresh. We did use the pool and while small and very near the entrance and the street was also well maintained and inviting. The only negative was that the furniture in our room was dated but in this price range I'm not expecting brand new furniture. We travelled from California to see our son in Bellingham and we would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

Oh, Coachman, how I love thee. Affordable, spotlessly clean & all the comfort you need for a quick overnight stay. The wifi signal was strong. There were loads of television channels. There's in-room coffee and a mini fridge (and a shared microwave in the hall which was a little odd but hey, it's there if you need it!) Gratis continental breakfast in the lobby from 6-10 with coffee, muffins/toast, oatmeal, juice, bottled water, fruit, etc. You're less than 5 minutes from downtown and a minute or so from the interstate. What more could you want/need? Coachman is my go-to for affordable lodging in Bellingham!

Didnโ€™t know what I was getting with the price so low. Only needed one night to catch a plane the next morning. Got a phone call at noon the day of check in confirming we were still coming. Advised him yes. Arrived just after 6pm and we were whisked through the check in process and given our room, 116. Walked in to a very well kept room for its age, and exceptionally clean. Beds were clean, room was airy once the drapes were opened, and no other guest noises were heard throughout the night despite it being fully booked. Great place to stay, will stay here again.

I'm echoing other reviews about the value of this place ($102 total around end of August). Good, clean beds and room. Only two pillows were on the bed, but I found the other two the next morning in the drawers underneath the TV. The rooms were small, but again, for the area and price, this is not much of a problem. There was a shared microwave sitting on a table in the hallway of our floor (maybe 6 or 8 rooms?). I thought it was kinda silly, but whatever. The breakfast was not much: toast, yogurt, and various packaged sweet things. The fruit looked a bit old. There is currently construction going on next door (29-Aug-23), but I'm not factoring that into my review as it is temporary. I'm giving 4 stars due to the lackluster breakfast, but if you don't care about that, then this is the best value in the area!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good price. Came for Fall Family weekend, staying again when I return for graduation. Continental breakfast is comparable to a Best Western.

Staff was super friendly and the hotel had a great location! The rooms were nice, especially for the price. If you're looking for a good place to stay in Bellingham, this is it!

This was a very clean, quiet, and enjoyable place to stay. I'd love to give a shout out to the gentleman at the front desk. His name was Gindi. I had trouble with the stairs. I am handicapped. He ran down the stairs and offered me his arm. What a gentleman. Also suggested where we should park. I will definitely stay at the Coachman Inn again. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Despite the fact that I checked in at 1:30am, the front desk clerk was incredibly friendly. Room was basic but very clean and quiet. Breakfast was great! This is a small, family run hotel and they do an excellent job.

Nice place in a great location, close to shops, bars and restaurants! The guy running the hotel was very kind, accommodating and thorough. He made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Several breakfast options which was a bonus! The only thing we didn't like was the cracking noise on door and windows because there's not much in the way to block the wind (a very windy night we had).

This is by far the best value hotel in Bellingham! We have stayed here several times and appreciate how super clean the rooms are. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Good location with food options close by.

My wife and I stayed here over July 4th weekend while we were overnighting to North Cascades. We arrived around midnight and the gentleman checking us in was very nice. We were a little short on cash and they didnโ€™t take our Apple Card so he waived the deposit for us. The room was pretty standard for a motel but was very clean and tidy. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional for a $65-75 motel. If we were in the area again we would 100% stay here again.

Coachman Inn was a wonderful surprise. It exceeded our expectations. It is an older motel that has been well taken care of. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great rates. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Would highly recommend.

The owner here is wonderful! The rooms are clean and there are a lot of restaurants and stores in walking distance. They have a cute little gym and sauna that are open all year and an outdoor pool and hot tub that are open during the summer. I would have rated the rooms a 5, but the bed was not very comfortable. Too firm for my needs. All else was wonderful though!

Amazing budget stay. The staff at the reception are happy to help you and are really friendly. The rooms are very clean and get cleaned every day. There is breakfast as well included.

This is a budget motel, it's a bit older and the office area has some construction going on. But the staff/owner are good people, and the rooms are very clean, everything worked well and the bed was comfortable. There's a microwave in the hallway, and each room has a small fridge and a coffee maker, plus there is coffee and breakfast at the office. Very quick and easy to check in and out. Great value and excellent service.

Highly recommend this place. It's an extremely good deal and the rooms are clean (cleaner than other more expensive hotels in the area, cough cough Guesthouse). The employees were incredibly helpful and even refunded us in full when we ended our reservation a few days early due to our plans changing. It's also got the cutest charm and retro vibes.
