Owner is extremely weird and they ask personal questions that don't have anything to do with renting a room from them. The owner just walked right into my room once. No knock, nothing!! So awkward!

This place is great โ€ฆ if you like cockroaches crawling over you in bed while you sleep. ๐Ÿชณ Should be called ROACH City Motor Inn. Place is crawling with them. Can also get stabbed with jagged glass coffee pot. Rooms donโ€™t have ironing board/iron. Told desk I was gonna post review if they charged me, they did anyways. Donโ€™t care, clearly. Good luck if youโ€™re staying here.

Just the bare necessities. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were small and lumpy. The bathroom was fine, clean. I did notice that the sleeve for my key card looked and felt like it had been reused many times. The area, parking lot seemed safe and was quiet. I'm trying somewhere else for tonight.

Cockroaches!!!! We found and stomped 2 within 20 mins of being here. The rooms are great value, and nice and updated, especially the jacuzzi suite, but no hotel should have roaches! There is no way the cleaning is adequete if they around, not to mention yuck. This place has great potential if they improve their cleaning, but nobody wants to sleep with the roaches.

Sunny and his family are so very accommodating and nice. The rooms are nicely decorated, updated and very clean. Mini fridge, microwave, new coffee pot beautiful sink basin. We got the king suite with a jetted tub and it was an absolutely fabulous treat. They take a deposit to ensure the rooms don't get trashed or you don't steal anything, but if your a good person you won't have anything to worry about. It was refunded as soon as we checked out with no issues. Would recommend to anyone traveling in the Bellingham area

I stayed here left a sentimental item in room after I checked out. I called the same day I checked out they say call back tomorrow. I call back tomorrow. Told same thing call back tomorrow. So I call back they threw my item away. After I spoke to them several times about said item. They were quite rude as well. And over priced

Room was what I expected. Nothing fancy, but not run down. But sadly the staff is the reason I'm not planning any return trips. I booked online and checked in past midnight. While checking in I asked if there was availability for the next day so I could sleep in and not have to Checkout at 11am. He said yes, just book B4 11am and then come tell the office. Well I asked for a wake up call at 10:30am. So I'd have time to book and come downstairs to inform the staff. Well apparently 10:30 is 11:15 at the Bay City. Because that's when the phone rang and was followed by knocking 30seconds later saying we needed to check out. I told him I wanted to stay another day and he said no because I slept in until 11. I told him I had requested a wake up call which never happened. And he said I called and it rang twice so I hung up?? What! For my own investigation I called the hotel and asked for my room number it rang 3 times before my phone ever actually rang. The worst was he kept $20 of my $100 deposit because I was late checking out. And wanted to keep it all until I told him the 2 reasons I was told would cause me to lose my deposit was smoking in the room, and breaking furniture. Neither of which I did.

This was our second stay at bay city motor inn. They have a policy on visitors after a specified time and outer doors being locked . I appreciate the added security and that it is not noisy when we need to sleep. The hotel and our room was very clean. They require a 100 dollar damage deposit but they put that money back into my account the very next day. It's a bargain and we plan on staying there anytime we visit Bellingham, Washington.

We like that the motor inn is close enough to the city and that it includes breakfast with coffee, juice, packaged pastries and hot waffles that you make yourself. The rooms are clean and the beds were fine. It was adequate for a short stay and it met my expectations for motels at this level. They also have lots of parking. However, the room was not big enough for two queen beds and four people. There's very little room to eat in there and there isn't enough seating in the lobby for the guests during breakfast. The service was not warm nor welcoming; just adequate. Even with breakfast included, I didn't feel that the stay was value for money; it was only slightly better than its competitors. Overall, this is what I would have expected for a 2 star motel.

We had a fantastic stay here on our way back to Canada. Iโ€™d highly recommend stopping here if you are staying in Bellingham. It highly exceeded our expectations. You never know quite what you will get with a motel but Bay City left us pleasantly surprised for the price point. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Bellingham.

We stayed one night in October 2022 in a two queen room. Great location, nothing fancy, but room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was good, beds were comfy, furniture is a little worn but clean, pillows a bit flat. Basic continental breakfast, and waffles were great! Coffee, not so much. Would stay here again for a night. Staff were very friendly, thanks!

Clean, comfortable and a handy location. Good value made this the perfect spot for an overnight stay. The proprietors were friendly and helpful.

Checks all the right boxes, reasonably priced. Definitely low/no frills, but clean and comfortable with friendly service. They actually clean rooms daily, make the beds, and provide clean towels. I'm almost reluctant to give the place a good review because I want it available next time I visit Bellingham. Lol! Why pay more? Caveat: they do charge a $100 damage deposit, just so you're aware. I take it as a testament to them caring how the place is treated, and it shows!

Great location, clean and has all you need. People who work there are very nice and accommodating. We got up at 5 and they brought out stuff to eat and made fresh coffee. Lobby staffed all night long.

Worst part: insufficient hot water to get through a shower (totally froze 1st day). Reported to desk next morning. Nothing happened. (Husband braved it next two mornings; I used other methods to wash myself.) Check-in (with online reservation) could have been smoother. One light missing a bulb. Had to leave clock radio unplugged, as it had been on arrival, or it buzzed. Moved coffee maker from bathroom to top of fridge (upper outlets didn't work, but could reach lower one). They had brand new surface on parking lot, though.

Stay here in September 2022. Book online through Kayak. Didnโ€™t expect too much because itโ€™s a 2 stars motel. But surprisingly it is very nice motel. Room and bathroom was clean. Have Continental breakfast in the morning. Even though I pay for the room I need to make a $100 despot. Which was refunded when check out. Why? It was a nice 2 night stay.

Not bad for a cheap hotel. Security cameras everywhere. I felt safe. But then again, I'm a white male, so what do I know?

Enjoyed pleasant 3 night stay here mid May 2022. Very clean and quiet room with 2 queen beds. Great value at $ 65 US per night.

Friendly staff, great room with a comfy bed (very tiny bathroom, but hey, thats not where the bed is anyway). No problem with parking. Continental breakfast was a little disappointing (selection was cereal, hard boiled eggs, 2 types of pastry, banna, and small bagels with coffee and juice) but that may be due to covid limitations/prevention. 2 queen beds for one night was $75.02 w/tax.

Very nice front desk person. This is definitely not the worst room I've stayed in but it could have been better. Housekeeping clearly hasn't dusted in awhile as shown in close up of the wall lamps. No towel bar to put your hand towel after washing your hands which is a minor inconvenience but when there's such a small amount of counter space these things matter. Speaking of towels, we requested more towels and the housekeeper actually made us retrieve the towels we had already used before she would give us any more (she actually counted them!) Never in my history of staying in a hotel/motel has that happened. I'm assuming it's because people steal them. All that said, the staff was friendly, the room was decent. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance if you get hungry. Like I stated previously, not the best but definitely not the worst place I've stayed.

๐Ÿ‘ Local small motel. No amenities but a very comfortable nights sleep. For $50 when everything else is $100 or better not bad. I travel a lot and am always shopping for a budget hotel that I can get a good nights rest and a shower. Not out here to pay someone's mortgage for a nights stay. Very quiet a...
