As someone who’s spent time behind the desk, trust me when I tell you to stay away from this place. As part of my duties, I conducted inspections of rooms after they were cleaned and at checkout (I had to go in and check the room for damage before I could checkout a guest), and they have BEDBUGS. During my first shift, I went into half of the rooms in the hotel on a tour and I have never seen rooms with more stains and rust. Plus, their practices are very illegal (especially when it comes to food handling) and the bathrooms are very dirty. Sleep in your car before spending your money here. I had to quit because 1- I have a standard of the quality of company I want to work for, 2- I was worried about legal implications if I was employed and they got into legal trouble, and 3- manager kept texting me late at night about work issues while I wasn’t clocked in. Not to mention the time I came into my shift with a homeless man sleeping in the lobby bathroom, the employee before me had no clue he was there. I had to use a taser (which they keep behind the desk) to get him out. Cleaning staff was very kind while I was there and the maintenance guys were cool too. It’s just the management family that’s the problem.

This place is disgusting. Do not stay here. I have stayed at a few other Days Inn in the past, and while I know they are not a 5 star chain, all other hotels we of a much higher standard than this. We had a last minute trip to Bellingham and there wasn’t much left available so we booked the Days Inn. We got charged $167 per night for an absolute rundown place. It’s like your friend whose house if falling apart but he doesn’t want to pay for professionals to fix it and decides to do it himself, except he has no clue what he is doing. For example, some of the tiles in the shower have been replaced, except it looks like there is minimal drywall behind and they didn’t put any grout so you see behind the tiles. I can only imagine all the water collecting in there, mold growing. There also a bunch of patch jobs in the ceiling and walls, the mesh is visible, they didn’t sand, just painted right over it. The furniture is so beat up. The mattress is old and sinks in the middle, and you also feel all the coils. As others mentioned, the bath is peeling. Did I mention the place stinks? It feels like there is no sound proofing, we could hear everything the people staying above. This place needs a complete renovation, or better yet, a tear down and rebuild. I would never stay here again and if I could give negative stars, I would.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The person who spoke to my husband on the phone about a group rate laughed at him. Updated: We didn’t end up staying here. We took our business to some of the better hotels in Bellingham as there are lots of other places to stay.

This place is CREEPY. The front desk area makes things seem nice, but once you're in the actual room, you'll find mold, dirt, patches, a damaged ac unit, and more. They ask for a $150 deposit, which is more than double what we paid for a night, in case of "damages." The room is already damaged. The only good part of this place was Bobbi. She was very understanding and respectful, and assisted us in getting a refund. Unfortunately, I've never gone to a motel just to meet someone with good manners. TLDR - We left within 10 minutes of arriving there and we suggest you save yourself the trouble.

I booked a room for my son there to stay the night before moving into his apartment. He checked in about 6 then went to hang with friends. His key didn't work as he tried to go to his room at 1:30am. He went to the front desk to find no one there. Only a TV on in the back room. So he sat in his car and checked every 30 minutes for any employee. Didn't find one until 6:30am to let him into his room. There was no real apology, just a "sorry it happens". So I paid for a room that he didn't get to sleep in. Avoid this hotel.

Firstly, no coffee. 0. None for the breakfast or in the room. I don’t need to say much more, but I will. The cleanliness was unlivable. My throat was immediately irritated by residual smoke smell in the room. My baby is 8 months and bathtime routine is important. The tub had paint chips flaking off. Light switches had dirt. Mirrors had smudges. The manager wouldn’t move more or cancel my next night. We had to leave. I got this through aaa and feel really let down. We won’t be staying in another Days Inn.

Good spot to stop if you need to sleep during a trip, safe and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good. Near lots of restaurants and easy to find location. I would recommend calling to confirm your room as the one we had reserved was not available when we arrived. They put us in a different room type without charge but if that hadn't been available, not sure sure what they would have done for us. Might stay again if traveling through Bellingham again.

Needing a spot for 4 days the rates are not bad. The price doubles over Friday night and Saturday, not sure why. The room worked for a spot to sleep, but has some stuff that can be better as far as maintenance. Wouldn’t mind coffee in the room but there is some available in the lobby. For what I need no complaints.

The only good thing about the Days Inn was the location of the food. The bathroom needed to work done to it. It felt as if I was going to break the sink just turning on and off the water. The bathtub felt like I had something on the bottom of my feet. It needs yo be refinished. Spend money to go out to breakfast. It will be better than what was served!!

Booked two rooms for a family visit in Bellingham, and arrived at 2:10 to check in. Was told I would incur an early check in fee, which I have never had happen in all my years of using Wyndham hotels. The rooms were fine although the blankets were really thin. The heater was too loud, so I turned it off. The bathrooms were clean, but there was evidence of water damage, and one bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. They only provided two bath towels per room. There was one washcloth upon which they placed the soap. No hand towels. In the morning, (Sunday) there was no breakfast in the breakfast area, and the coffee was behind the front desk. Maybe this is a Covid precaution, but it wasn't inviting at all. This property is not up to Wyndham's usual standards. Very disappointing.

All the faucets in our room had a constant drip which made the bathroom look and feel so grimy. The heat/ac unit had the temperature buttons punched out so there was no way to adjust the temperature. The pool advertised looks like it hasn’t been running since 2019 and the complimentary breakfast was a menu that the receptionist said pretty much everything is out. Needless to say I will never stay out this hotel again.

Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the Days inn to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back!

This is the grossest hotel I ever stepped foot in! To be honest, I booked on accident, meaning to book a similarly named hotel but was distracted. So, I went with it and showed up with my daughter. The smell in the lobby alone is gross, but we carried our luggage up the stairs, no elevator on site, and were hit with the smell of urine. Smelled really gross, almost like cat urine. There were towels all over the carpet in multiple spots up and down the hallway. We looked at each other, opened the door, and the smell of urine just hit us in the face so hard!! We immediately went back downstairs to check out, no way were we staying there. They offered us a different room, but the smell was strong even in the hallway, it was everywhere. We checked out and went to a different hotel, and they would not refund even the 2nd night, not one dollar back. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

One night here in the "executive suite" and I can't wait to leave. The room is dirty with questionable looking stains on the walls and one of the pillows. A prescription pill bottle was left on the floor from a previous tenant. The bathroom sink is broken. My family spent the entire night itchy, from who knows what. The halls reek of cigarette smoke. When I called the front desk about the AC not working the desk attendant told me, laughably, that most hotels around here don't have AC. Electric outlets installed upside down, contrary to code (yes, a nitpick, but it speaks to the care and attention given to the place by it's owners, and the city). I should have saved $200 and slept in the car. One positive note, it was quiet.

Ugh, we stayed here for 3 days waiting for a pistol transfer from Alaska. Paid $100 pet deposit for my cats which was fine by the night clerk. When we checked out during the day the manager informed us "No cats allowed!" And wanted to keep the deposit. After putting up with a faulty AC, and watching for druggies running around the parking lot (peeking in our truck windows for items to steal), I'd had enough. The manager makes you wait when checking out so that he can run up and check the room for damages. Ours' was fine but he still didn't like returning the deposit. Had to call back twice before the money was returned to my card for the pet deposit. Not sure 'the only thing close enough to the gun store' was worth it. Should've gone on to Seattle.

One of the worst rooms I have ever been in. It smelled and was dirty. I was supposed to stay for 9 nights. Checked out after 2 nights and only stayed because every other hotel in the area was booked. Slept in my clothes because it was so bad. A colleague stayed here as well for 2 nights and got scabies!! I don't know how this hotel can have any positive reviews. If I could give it negative stars I would give it a negative 100 !! STAY AWAY!!!

This hotel is in need of renovations!! The fridge is nice and the wifi was fast. The bed was comfortable, although a bit saggy. The shampoo and conditioner provided was very nice. There were nice pictures on the walls. The front desk staff were friendly.

If you don’t mind some weathered rooms this place is a good deal. The beds are very clean and the furnishings are just fine. There might be some shower tile missing and some weathered walls but it’s a good value all-around especially for a work trip. The wifi works great and the lobby coffee is above average. Service is prompt and helpful. The hallways and rooms above can be a bit creaky fyi.

I’m surprised Wyndham is associated with this aging mess. The rooms are a wreck, tile missing from shower, sink handles almost frozen, creating fear of pulling them off to use them. Lights in the lobby kept dark at all hours. Ice machine broken. No elevators. It feels like a property about to be torn down. Rude desk clerk refused to print out our bill summary upon checkout. We will never return. And we will complain to Wyndham. For an extra $30-$40 a night, there are much better hotels nearby.

My room was very dirty, pretty sure there was blood on the wall, the bedding was dirty, large stains on the floor. The sink in the bathroom wasnt attached to the counter, and the faucet was impossible to use from how tight it was on. The floor of the bath tub was peeling and some parts sharp on the feet. I chose to stay here due to previous good experiences with Days Inn properties but i wouldn't recommend this one to anyone!

All I have to say is I'm laying in the bed in the room at this hotel right now, and I'm feeling very itchy. They screwed up the reservation. The blanket on the bed is paper-thin. I feel kinda dirty, just laying here. I found a couple little black hairs on the sheets. There are other hotels that are very close. I don't know anything about them but I gotta feeling they're better than this one.

This is my second time staying here and I find it convenient, clean and very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The car parking is very easy and there are lots of great places to eat close by. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Comfortable and clean.

First I booked at Heliotrope cause they had more stars, and upon arrival management was rude, racist, and unwilling to find a solution for me since they said I couldn’t stay cause my brother did the reservation for me. It was 10pm and he lives in a different country! Then I came to Days Inn and the staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean, quiet, well located and overall amazing price for a high quality stay. Staff takes great care of this place. I will recommend Days Inn to anyone who stays in Bellingham any day. They deserve it!

Yikes! From start to finish this experience was a disaster. Check in was unpleasant as the clerk over-charged the deposit hold, and wasn't clear what room I'd reserved. The room itself was located below grade with hard linoleum floors and a small light well window, it looked nothing like online. The shower desperately needs a renovation as the grout was stained and the caulking had been peeled up. Definitely not a place that felt clean or restful. The bed was so incredibly uncomfortable I didn't sleep a wink. At 4am a riot of noise could be heard echoing down the hallway. Definitely not restful. Breakfast was eggo waffles and white bread, no breakfast would have been a more dignified choice. As of this writing I have yet to receive my $200 (!?) incidental hold. Which was more than the cost of the room. AND!! The fire exit at the end of the hall on the first floor was locked, a flagrant violation of fire code. Beware! 0/10 Will not recommend!

Nice place. Room double booked but got an upgrade if you call it that. Kind of run down. bed was clean. No coffee in the room. Fridge leaked all over the floor and soaked everything inside from it defrosting. Other than my wife getting sick from the smell in the room. Just well won't be back.

Don't let the 1 star encourage you to stay here. This property is OLD, it smells bad, paint in rooms is peeling and chipping. Breakfast is a joke. Coffee was empty, juice was watered down on also empty, eggos, English muffins, and little prepackaged muffins were all empty. For the price absolute a rip off. On a positive, it was quiet at night

Nice little hotel, comfy beds and decent quality shampoo and conditoner. There were a few issues tho. The soap bar was already opened and most likely used. The shower water was yellow when you first turned it on but then it turned clear. The AC was broken so we opened the balcony door and I walked into a bunch of spider webs with live spiders on them. And the main microwave buttons did not work. But other than that it was alright.

Like too many hotel and motels these days, this property is in gross need of better routine maintenance and renovation. See photos from room 317. On a positive note, there a great selection of satellite TV channels.

It was our first time staying overnight at this place and it’s very clear that the property needs a lot of upkeep. The front window was broken, leaving a bad first impression. We had some water damage in the ceiling of our bathroom that hadn’t been repaired, leaving a hole and sagging paint. We couldn’t tell if the complimentary shampoo and conditioner were new or leftovers from the previous occupants. The A/C unit was broken. The walls and ceiling were not very soundproof, so every door closing sounded like a slam—not very restful when you’re trying to get some sleep. The ice maker on our floor wasn’t working, so I had to use the third floor ice maker. Our in-room fridge wasn’t very cold, and someone had removed the dial adjuster so we couldn’t make it colder. I’d only recommend this place if you’ve exhausted other possibilities.

The service was great, maybe even exceptional, but what brought down the experience was that there was always something wrong with the room. 1st one: the TV didn't even function and, there was mold growing in the corners of the restroom. 2nd room: Also had the problem of malfunctioning TV, but by then we just settled with a remote that probably won't work. Also, they charge deposit and didn't let us know? We had to come downstairs and ask about a random 100 charge made by the days inn. They might have stated something when it was reserved, I wasn't there, but they definitely did not say a word when we came to pay for the room. I've seen previous reviews saying something about pets; they do not allow pets. Also, if breakfast is important to your stay, I know some sites say they offer it, but really it's just a fruit basket and coffee at the front desk so if that's important for your stay, letting you know now. (My stay was 3 weeks ago, so they might have fixed up the lobby to offer more) Like I said, it was a nice stay and you're super close to a lot of stuff, so the trade off is good. Definitely would recommend, quirks and all.

  • 2/5 Conner T. 1 year ago on Google
Yeah definitely not great. The sheets are barely clean, there was tape residue and random dirt at the foot of the bed. The floor was obviously not vacuumed and pretty gross. The room smells vaguely of cigarettes, litter box, and sweat. Can’t recommend staying here. I have one more night and I’m not looking forward to it.

  • 1/5 Allison A. 2 years ago on Google
This place was nasty. Staff were kind but the place was dirty. Like gross dirty. Breakfast is supposed to be from 7am-10am, came down both mornings at 8am and nothing left. We had some questionable neighbors who showed up with mass amounts of booze and surpise?! 2am, fights breaking out, police called. We were up all night due to the noise. Police arrived a second time. Hotel staff still did not kick them out. I would never stay here again! The only good thing was the restaurants around the hotel were amazing. Highly recommend Kyoto and the Mexican restaurant next door.
