Our
negative
experience
started
at
check
in.
The
GM
said
he
tried
to
charge
my
card
twice
prior
to
check
in
(which,
when
I
made
a
booking
I
confirmed
it
was
pay
at
the
hotel),
and
accused
me
of
not
having
money
on
my
card.
Firstly,
why
would
they
charge
my
card
prior
to
my
arrival?
I
didn't
book
through
Expedia
or
a
3rd
party.
Said
he
sold
our
room,
and
tried
to
charge
me
280
USD
for
the
room!
Adamantly
refused,
and
showed
him
the
charges
on
my
card.
He
said
it
didn't
go
through
and
needed
to
charge
it
for
a
second
time.
The
whole
process
was
very
sketchy.
He
was
also
incredibly
rude
to
me
the
whole
time.
The
room
was
basic.
Toilet
didn't
flush
properly,
and
the
beds
were
very
uncomfortable.
Bedding
was
old,
and
the
property
definitely
needs
a
refresh.
The
complimentary
breakfast
was.....atrocious.
Muffins,
bread,
English
muffins,
fruit,
and
a
broken
waffle
maker.
The
staff
outside
of
the
general
manager
were
all
lovely,
and
were
the
saving
grace.
Don't
waste
your
money
here.
A
lot
of
Capitol
investment
needs
to
be
done.
Also
as
someone
who
works
in
hospitality,
the
general
manager
should
be
coached
on
how
to
speak
to
guests
with
dignity
and
respect.
