I had high expectations of this place due to it being from the same founders of Carmen and Don Diablo, but it fell short. We sat in the outdoor table and we received none of the attention that the folks sitting at the bar received. The service is mediocre to sometimes humiliating. The hostess from the next door was a bit rude with a condescending tone. We ordered the omakase which had a mixture of raw dishes with cooked dishes. Most of the dishes were overly salty, and some of the dishes were very unremarkable. They reused some ingredients, like we had two blue crab dishes in a row. And the first one was a very average hand roll. The dessert was fantastic though. For the price point, I cannot recommend the omakase. I think that if I go back, I would request to sit by the bar, and I would order individual dishes. Ps, if you sit outside, a lot of the patrons smoke next to you, and the staff do little to prevent this.

@moshi.colombia is easily one of my favorite restaurants in @medellinantioquiaco The chef’s counter omakase is amazing. Sooo many unique pieces and incredible flavors. Its part of the @carmenrestaurante group and none of their restaurants ever let me down.

The restaurant is beautiful! The food was great too. We had some sushi, bao, and wine. The only reason I didn’t give 5stars was because the wine/ drinks selection was so limited. Also the menu could be organized quite better. The staff is definitely polite, but they could be more attentive

Right after we were sat at our table we were curious how to get seated all the way inside, because it looked much prettier. That’s apparently another restaurant, or different part of it, called X.O. The food at Moshi was great, especially the fish tacos with bacon on top and the baos. I was not a big fan of the sushi rolls we had, which I think I was called Coco Loko. But the baos alone would make it worth returning.

Really nice restaurant with great ambiance. I liked the staff as well — very warm and friendly. It apparently gets busy so you need a reservation? But the entire dinner time I was there the place wasn’t even half full so I’m quite disappointed they didn’t give us a table but had to sit in the bar. Food was frankly underwhelming. It’s not terrible but just expected more from this kind if restaurant with apparently a good reputation. I didn’t get the tasting menu just fyi. But I ordered the recommendations of the staff. Misoyaki, some pulpo and the spicy crab starter. The only thing I was interested in among the three was the starter. Must say, though, the pineapple express I ordered was pretty damn good! I’d go again but it would not be my first choice.

So I will start with the fact that I am extremely hesitant about sushi in land locked cities that are not close to an ocean. With that in mind, I started with the bao de Rubio and the tonkatsu Gohan. Both dishes were recommended by the server and were fantastic. The bao de Rubio was delicious. It was fried fish on a bao bun which reminded me of a fish taco but with a fluffier shell. Great flavor profile with lots of citrus. The tonkatsu Gohan was a cut pork cutlet on top of rice with some amazing sauces. After those, I decided that I would take a small risk and try the tuna hand roll and was not disappointed. The fish was fresh and did not have a fishy smell or taste which is what I was concerned about. I even mentioned my concerns to the server when ordering and she was super nice about it and even brought out the chef to explain where the fish came from, how fresh it was, and the processes used in the kitchen to maintain it's top shelf quality. Overall 5/5 stars for flavor, quantity, quality, and service. Price was a little more expensive for the area but it is in line with what I would expect from a trendy restaurant with a beautiful location and quality food. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for good quality Asian fusion in the El poblado area.

What an amazing place, visually and the service is outstanding. The staff and food presentation are top notch but unfortunately just doesn't cut it when it comes to the food itself, the flavors are all over the place and do not have cohesiveness, like you just taste one ingredient instead of a dish!!! Which is very disappointing since visually the dish looks amazing! We order the rainbow and El spicy, never have I ever try this type of rice and the flavor was off and was very dry, both tasted almost the same. Which usually a rainbow is very flavorful and rich. After they brought us the spicy tuna.... well it was not spicy and I couldn't even tell what was in it, it tasted like a really acid orange with a orange acidic foam on top. It look beautiful but it taste it just like lime or a really acid orange. Couldn't taste the tuna which is a shame since it is supposed to be the main star of the dish and the flavors should help enhance the flavor, but tasted acidic, also the foam gave it a weird feeling to it, making it too overpowering flavor wise! Next we got the main course Kao Pat Puu which is a kind of Thai fried rice, it has a really good texture but it just taste like ginger, was not bad but was not excellent at best was average! Not worth the price for sure! The cocktails were also Ok nothing crazy Place is way over price for the food, definitely better restaurants for the price you pay! Hopefully they take the food to next level because the restaurant is very elegant and service is great!

One of the best omakase I've ever had, particularly because most things had a somewhat unique Colombian twist/take utilizing more local ingredients. The sous chef had perfect English which made the experience perfect, she truly was amazing!!

Exceptional service and serene ambiance. We tried the shrimp Ebo-coco sushi (yum) as an appetizer and the Patarasca (very filling dish) for the main coarse. Cost was surprisingly high for a Colombian restaurant, though still less than U.S., so it was fine overall. P.S. Check out the bathroom ☺️

they were all delicious. bartenders were very helpful. We drank very good cocktails. Do not go without a reservation, we were lucky enough to find a place at the bar.

The sushi was OK - 3 stars. I also don't recommend the cocktails - we got an impotent gin basil that had no flavor. That said, the hot dishes were phenomenal and the staff were amazing and friendly. The crab fried rice and the donabe were an experience - well worth it.

5 stars for everything: - staff was super nice and professional - food was incredibly good and well presented - the restaurant is very beautiful - price was more than fair for quality and quantity Highly recommended for a Japanese dinner

Excellent presentation. Creative dishes. Amazing service. Delicious food with interesting and high-quality ingredients. I've done both the Moshi tasting menu and the Sushi bar tasting menu. Those experiences make it one of my favorite restaurants in Medellín hands down, espeically at Sushi bar where you get to see the whole process. I love going to Moshi!

The service was great, cocktails were good, but the food was horrible… who is rating this place 5 stars?? This is honestly some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had- the rice was hard and packed way too tightly; the rainbow roll was inedible because the fish tasted like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a week. The only decent tasting item was the complimentary mini empanada that came at the beginning of the meal…maybe because it lacked fish….

Excellent flavors and eclectic location. The service was likewise superb. I highly recommend the Tonkatsu. Go here for drinks, they have excellent bartenders as well.

This place blew me away away, I felt like in Lima.. simply top cosine, incredible flavors, contrast and excellent service. Must try the octopus taco plus pretty much every dish on the menu. You can tell they put in the work and skill to make this come together. Very happy to have Moshi Medellin... can’t wait to be back. Now its not cheap so be warned.. but I hope not disappointed.

They offer Asian fusion food but there is no fusion at all. No really good fish choices just Columbian fish. I had a spicy tuna what wasn’t taste like tuna and it wasn’t spicy at all. It is actually no taste... when you are hungry don’t go there. They offer food in strange combination. I’ve just tried one appetizer just to get sure to order more but this was just disappointed. They have a good choice of wine but really expensive. That’s it. The waiter did his job very well and was courteous. Ambiente was also nice but all that is actually not so important like the food in a restaurant. Food shouldn’t have to look fusion or fancy it has to taste good! That’s the important thing in a restaurant!

Everything was going perfect until we received the check. At the beginning of the night we were offered sparkling water or normal one. We ordered the normal one, when we received it we noticed that it was from the tap which was perfect for us. At the middle of the night without asking us, we were served a second bottle of water from the tap, as they are usually free we just guessed it was the case, so we didn't say anything. But when we received the check we noticed that we were charged twice for the water. We couldn't believe it. We ordered the Omakase menu which is quite expensive but you were so stingy that you charged us for the tap water $10000 pesos). So disappointed. We didn't complain because it was not worth it to do it at the restaurant but it really left us a bad taste, especially because the food and the service was great. We cannot understand why you are so stingy and charged for a bottle of water coming from the tap. Even though the food is delicious, this little detail will keep me away from returning.

Incredible food. Great service. Drinks are innovative, delicious, and strong! Gotta go with the Banh Mi Bites and the Foie Gras! They are both out of this world good.

If anyone has had good sushi, then this place is below par, especially for the price. we ordered the rainbow roll. If you have ever had a rainbow roll in the U.S., you won't even recognize what comes to the table. I asked about a dish and got a response only to find out later that they were out of it. Pretty good service, but food was a let down

😠 We ordered a mixed ceviche and it was very acidic, you couldn't eat it, the presentation was terrible in a plastic cup. We paid 28,900 each and it was just onion, a small fish bite and 3 shrimp.

👍👍 This is a traditional Colombian restaurant. I went around 12:40 pm, it was crowded but there were available seating. I ordered bandeja paisa. Portions were large and food was delicious. I also ordered cola zero and they brought 300 ml large bottle. Unfortunately 10% tip is included. I don’t like res...
