Low key my favorite park in Laureles and probably my favorite park in Medellin for everyday visiting. It's quite clean and beautiful next to the river. There's plenty of dogs for you dog lovers, interesting places to eat, and plenty of places to sit and lounge. It's enjoyable to be here whether in the daytime or nighttime, though I will say there's not much shade for the sunnier days. I love jogging here too.

This park is a great place for walking, running, or just a great place for a picnic. It is a beautiful place for taking photos because of all the different plants and great views of the surrounding mountains. It also has several nice restaurants and small street vendors if you get hungry or thirsty. Saw ppl flying kites and many families spending time together. The many police taking care made me feel very safe to walk around with my camera. I love that it's not as Touristy as other places in Medellín and was able to mingle with the locals in a calm and peaceful setting.

Parque del Río is an outdoor Christmas lights area throughout the city, along the Río Medellín. Different themes as Moana, Dumbo, Mickey, action heroes and other Disney characters. Street vendors and performers are throughout the area. You can find people singing for tips, different characters working throughout the evening (Edward Scissorhands, La Llorona, The Miner and many others). Plenty of food. Different areas were planned to be the food court in straight lines, where you will find tons of options and competition as well as: Chuzos, hotdogs, corn on the cob, shawarma, BBQ, papa criolla portions, mango biche, churros, soda pops, micheladas, etc. Good amount of law-enforcement, tons of people therefore police presence is essential and always a plus.

December review, this year the even is more organized there’s one way in and one way out.... now the lines were crazy!!! At least 2 hour wait ! But there’s a reason once ppl go in they will take for ever to come out because everyone is trying to take pics with every statue of lights so it’s impossible to take pics!!! , it was beautiful tho 💗

It is a public park, created by undergrounding the highway on both sides. As it is a bit new and the trees are still growing so, try to avoid visiting it around noon. It is not long, about 0.28 miles or 0.44 km on each side. It is a good place to walk, sit, picnic and walk the dog. In the evenings some people practice skating, dancing and yoga. Nearby is the restaurant 'Aquí paró Lucho' where it is worth eating the paella they make on Saturdays. You can also enjoy the ice cream of 'Rolados' and the pastries and coffee of 'Dulce Suiza'. There are public restrooms, a little to the north, on both sides.

(Perfect place to go after coming down from Pueblito Paisa).

The architecture is amazing, finally a memorable park in the center of this city. The places to eat are amazing and the ambience itself makes you wanna stay a very long time, it's very amazing how the managed to make all those different spaces (gardens, pavement, river) to convolute together. Is a very good space to pass the day.

Fantastic place, there are a few good restaurants and at least one place to get ice cream and coffee. There are some places to seat and lay down and I believe there is free wifi. It is a very safe place to relax. I should mention that at the moment of writing this review, there is Christmas lighting until the end of January therefore the park has some restriction and fences all over the place.

My favourite park in Medellin. Actually there are two great spaces on the both sides of the river Aburra and there are two bridges, so you can make a big round to discover and enjoy the place. The best time to come is after sunset. Many groups of people making dance or martial art or yoga lessons and many many more great activities. You can find very cozy cafe and bakery to try a cup of coffee and good cake there. And there you can find playground for kids and a lot of space to have a picnic. Definitely recommend to visit.
