When we came during the week, we saw 2 other people the entire time. The place is absolutely beautiful and just one bus ride away from Envigado. Right off the Envigado metro station, on the side towards Viva mall, grab any bus that says "El Salado" and tell the bus driver to drop you off at "chorro de las campanas." Tip: there are trails up the mountain. Don't take them.. the actual trail stays close to the river. We took one of those trails upwards. It was so long and we ended up back down, having trecked 30 minutes and gone 100 feet upriver 😂! If you want exercise, go for it!

Great spot for a hike. The trail crossed back and forth over the river may times. You will be in knee deep water often. The falls are gorgeous, wow!

Beautiful hike! Definitely Medium Difficulty. Be cautious make sure to follow the path there are almost no markers after a certain point. You can follow the River down and make it into town if you started at la Catedral.

The hike to the Chorro takes you through magical places, surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers. Sometimes the path gets difficult but it just makes the adventure more interesting. The water is cold and energizing. Come visit chorro de Las Campanas and enjoy nature not far from the city. I.G. @colombiastruecolors

This waterfall was a really cool place to relax on the rocks in the sun and go for a swim under the waterfall (even if the water was cold). My group did the waterfall repelling and that was pretty fun to do here. The jungle walk to get there was great too. Be prepared to get your feet soaked, we had to walk through the creek many times to get to the waterfall.

So close to the city, yet so wonderfully lush and natural. An amazing escape. I've done this hike a couple times and recommend starting from La Catedral, walking down past Salto del Angel (another waterfall!), to Chorro de las Campanas, then out at the Arenales bus stop and viewpoint. I've shared some tips on how to do the hike without a guide on my site, The Unconventional Route.

Amazing, beautiful. Wear proper shoes, they will get wet. Water was ice but worth it!

This place is amazing for two reasons: it is really close to the city and it's an Amazon quality natural scenario. The path can be a little slippery. The water is extremely cold.

Beautiful area. The trail leading the waterfall has some interesting historical significance.

Love it! If you love nature you have to go because of hiking trekking and watch birds and some animals and all the splendor of fall and mother nature.

I give this a 4 starts not because it is a bad place (because it is not bad at all) I give it 4 stars because I was freezing, you can never know if it is going to be raining or not, weather is always changing (but most of the time it's raining), I love natural places and undoubtedly this is one of them, the views, the place itself, it is like going back to your origin, going back to earth... Simply gorgeous if you ask me.

A green place only some minutes away from civilization. If you love seeing birds, threes and walking in the streams, that place is for you.

This place is beautiful, hiking here was such a treat. Breathe in fresh air with a beautiful view of Medellin and an amazing waterfall to swim in

Genuinely nice wander. Be ready to jump some rocks or get wet ! Water was around 10 degrees, lovely to cool off.
