This is such a beautiful place! The garden is shaded by large trees with a small fountain in the center. The colonial style house has dark-stained wooden bars over the open windows, colorful stained glass windows, and many other details. I didn't know anything about Fernando Gonzalez, but they happily gave me a pamphlet and a book mark... great to learn about Colombian culture in a beautiful place.

Lovely place where you can get an incredible cultural experience, the house of Fernando González preserved in pristine condition, gives you an idea of his life and legacy, such a gorgeous little place surrounded by trees and art. Right next to it the event theatre and the library offer a very modern and cosy space to enjoy cultural events for the community at a very low cost. And finally, the restaurant, the perfect place to enjoy scrumptious food and a great atmosphere in the centre of Envigado.

It's a very small house with a pretty garden and backyard. It's free and only takes about ten minutes to walk around. They have a lot of cultural events like cinema, talks, yoga etc. during the week and weekend - most of them free as well. There is a café in the backyard, but I have not tried it.

Nice place in Envigado. Actually, there are some buildings construction so it can be noisy.

I grew up in envigado and I am so happy to see this beautiful place still standing. Food is amazing and the space is very peaceful. I recommend the "desayuno" the traditional breakfast. Get the empanadas de papa. And if you ho in the afternoon please get the Rose Sangria.

Beautiful place with a lot of history in the center of the city. So beautiful to see that it is so well kept. We were greeted by a gentleman so kind and nice, he explained a lot of the history behind the museum, the books, and Medellin. Even help us recommending us places to go around the city, that we must visit.

This place is excellent for a relaxed and out of crowds afternoon. This place offers a museum at Fernando González (writer, poet and philosopher) estate, where you will find a permanent exhibition of his collections and books, and where different cultural events take place. There is also the Cafe de Otraparte, locate at the back of Gonzalez house and surrounded by trees, providing a fresh and calm environment. Recent changes in the menu has made this place perfect for an afternoon coffee, or for dinner.

Loved the cafe. A little pricey however the ambience and presentation are worth it! Very nice. Will be back to visit the Museo and enjoy one of the cafes amazing deserts!

This is a nice little museum/house with a beautiful garden in front and to the side. There is also a restaurant in the back with quiet seating areas. Free admission and they have free audio descriptions that you can listen to (using your cell phone) in English or Spanish. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Beautifully kept and serene garden that feels far removed from the city around it. The cafe in the back is a nice place to relax, have a coffee, and meet with friends.

I attended a conference here and was pleasantly surprised by the retro historical feel of the place.

My sister and I went on a day when they had a really nice lecture series with local scholars and activists. Big fan of the programming here and the cafe was really nice to hang out and have a coffee and think.
