What can I say... Impressive! The first thing when I entered YOLO that filled my whole persona, the hospitality. After being welcomed like part of the family, then the beauty of the place hit me hard. The Medellín adventure started perfectly with the right place and the right people at the perfect location. Everything worthwhile in the city is walking distance from here. Man.... just check in and the rest will follow into place. Hope everyone can enjoy this beautiful place soon!

It was a great place, the staff is really friendly and helpful. We were 3 people and the owner arranged a private room for us, which was amazing, really big, comfortable and with it's own bathroom. Also they have many common areas to meet other travelers and a big kitchen, where you can cook whatever you desire and they use recycling bins🌍💕. In addition to that the hostel is well located, close to different restaurants, bars and to a supermarket.

The hostel is not so yolo in the end, too much light comes in to the rooms and there was a missing window in my room so anybody could look in at me sleeping 0 privacy very noisy and very rude owners that scream at clients for no good reason and then lose money from their own stupidity would not recommend this hostel

Good hostel with good facilities and location is great, walking distance to clubs and bars and good food! Cool area. Only minus is not so social, but I might have just been unlucky with the timing.

Nice cheap hostel for the El Poblado area. The owner is very hospitable and has put together a well designed common area with hammocks and a big net next to the river. The private room was spacious with high ceilings and was relatively quiet at night. There’s also a cafe right in front of the hostel which has coffee from the owners personal coffee farm which is pretty cool. Would recommend staying here

Fantastic hostel nice and kind people working here. When I got sick the owner and the staff (Nicole and Ricky) helped me out with everything doctors, hospital and medicine. I couldn’t have asked for more from you guys. Thank you! The hostel is pretty good located in Poblado, it is quite and that makes it easy to relax and rest. I same building you have Betty’s Bowl with amazing healthy breakfast and lunch.

Great Hostel with everything you could ask for: very central and safe Location, clean rooms and sanitary areas, warm and helpful staff members, fantastic breakfast, beautiful and quiet Patio and all of that for a very reasonable price. Would stay there again any time. Big Recommendation!

I had a wonderful experience at YOLO! My friends and I stayed here for two nights and the entire time we felt well-attended, safe, and secure. The staff is super helpful with any needs and recommendations. Not to mention the cafe attached was spectacular and a great bang for your buck. Would definitely recommend, a very great hostel experience :)

We didn’t stay here but went on a couple great tours offered at this hostel #1 Green connection w/ Sebastian - beautiful nature hike to a waterway, you get to hike through a stream up to the waterfall and see a lot of amazing nature along the way #2 Neighbourhood tour w/ Ricky - We visited Comuna 13 and learned about the history and character of many neighbourhood along the way. Very informative and Comuna 13 is a great destination. Would highly recommend doing this trip at the beginning of your stay in Medellin to get to know the city.

My partner and I did the day trip to Guatapé with Riccardo and had an amazing time! Riccardo was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure to check in with each person on the trip to make sure they were doing ok and having a good time. Along with providing a delicious breakfast and lunch, we got to learn more about what makes the town of Guatapé special to Colombia through a private boat tour, tour of the city and a trip to the famous El Peñol rock. The group was also small enough where we were able to talk with everyone and get to know more about our fellow travelers. The best part: you can book this tour without staying at the hostel! Not to mention you get a great breakfast at Betty’s Bowls, which is a plus 😊 would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that visits Medellin. It’s a great way to get out of the city.

Nice hostel but more sockets in the dorms would have been nice. Breakfast is gokd (betty bowl nearby) and they have 24/24 reception which is convienient as keeps the place safe and locked to strangers

Great place to relax and enjoy. Plenty of spaces to relax, chill out and work as it is rather quiet. But most of all the staff is great, friendly, helpful ... You could think you're just staying at a friend's place. This atmosphere is undoubtedly due to the owner Federico.

חברים לא להתקרב לשם! הצוות מתנהג מסריח וסתם יקר שם. The service of the hostel is horrible! They were not nice at all. We try to talk with them and everytime we tried, they respond rudely. We left the hostel shamed, disrespected and disappointed. Totaly NOT RECOMMENDED. Oh and they change their prices to each person by the mood of the worker in the front desk. There are much better places near by😌

Really good option for a Stay in Medellin, in the most vibrant área of the city but away enough to get peace and good sleep. I was received by the owner Federico on the first morning with a smile and some good quality coffee, offered me to join on a tour which I did, it was very interesting and as an added value, all profit goes to an ONG he is part of. The place felt very homey and the whole staff were wonderful to me, I would chose this place over the Selina next door anytime ;)

This hostel is great! I love the location, it’s definitely not a party hostel but I really like that and it’s very close to the busy streets if you do want to go out. Read some mixed reviews on hostelworld regarding staff but I had such a welcoming and helpful experience with all of them. The owner helped organize the hostels doctor to visit me free of charge and gave recommendations for Jardin AND booked me in for the next days for my return even though hostelworld said it was fully booked. Recommend recommend recommend!! Also the kitchen is amazing

We had a great time at Yolo Hostel. The staff and owner Fede were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in both the private and 10 bed dorm rooms, both of which were clean and spacious. We met lots of lovely travellers and the breakfast (Smoothie Bowls) were so tasty. We did the Communa 13 Tour which was really informative. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing hostel, close to clubs, restaurants, etc. Comfy beds. A 20min walk to the closest metro station. They serve amazing smoothiebowls for breakfast. Great staff. Nice and big common areas to chill and socialise (although sometimes outside the weekends not that many people), they have board games, hammocks, good chairs... It's also more affordable than some other hostels in this neighbourhood. The kitchen is well equiped and you have a D1 supermarket only 5min from the place. They organise some tours, but no in-hostel activities. Would 100% come back!

Me and my girlfriend attended a great guided hike at el saladao. Federico and his puppy Coral were great hosts. We hiked ~5km through a beautiful nature reserve to arrive at an amazing waterfall. Federico was an amazing host from beginning to end, he was very knowledgeable about the surroundings and histories of the location, took and shared a bunch of pictures, went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

I did not stay here but visited often for tours. Sebastian and his business partner are legendary. Hostel was safe and a great vibe. Plus you have the best cafe in Medellin right outside your front door.

I love this place. I started my stay in Medellín in Masaya hostel but it was way too hotel-like. This place was really fantastic. The garden was comfy and calming, owners and staff really lovely, bedrooms spacious, food great, and friendly atmosphere. Really recommend this place. Also fast Internet

Good location and friendly staff but our room (€30/night) looked like a prison cell, the bed was terrible (also no sheets) and there was a lot of noise from outside. Much better price/quality available in nearby hostels or even hotels

One of the best hostel we have been in Colombia! Private rooms are very spacious and quiet, common areas are big and perfect for relaxing and most important, the staff is super friendly, they even helped us to book a bus we weren't able to book by ourselves with our foreign card, so nice! The tours organised are great, the guide we had Julian has been amazing throughout our day tour to Guatapé. The area is great too, close to anything you need and to enjoy Medellin nightlife and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Federico and his team are very warm and super helpful. The hostel looks great, has a nice garden and the location is perfect! 1 minute walk from all the nice bars. We did a tour organized by the hostel, which was fantastic as well. Would 100% recommend!!

I LOVED this hostal! Large facility with several rooms and outdoor space to hang out and relax. Ricky and Ada at the front desk are super friendly. Clean bathrooms, big kitchen, and there's a small river and green space alongside that buffers the noise (we fell asleep to the sound of the burbling creek each night). They also upgraded us from the dorm to a private room at no extra cost when we arrived! NO ONE ever does that. Excellent location, too!

We stayed at this hostel for a few days, and it was very nice. The staff was so sweet and helpful and the receptionist Frederico even helped us book a flight. Good facilities and kitchen too. We also went on a city tour arranged by the hostel, which was also very nice and we learned a lot about the culture and history in Medellin. Can definitely recommend this hostel!:)
