Nice place to chill and drink!

Although La Playa is located in the middle of a very party neighborhood in Medellin it's a very chill place. It's super clean and has a well equipped kitchen. Beds are comfortable. Common area is decorated with a good taste and the room are spacious. They provide towels and key for the lockers and Wifi is pretty fast. The staff is friendly and helpful, except a girl who also works at the bar sometimes denied me the iron to groom my clothes and didn't open the front door for me. I guess she did't liked me that much. But it's okay.. But for all the rest, I recommend it for sure! Thank you Daniela and Alberto.

This is my favorite hostel!

This is such a great hostel! Very clean, nice common area with hammocks and a great rooftop bar. We stayed here almost a week and it never got old. The staff are all super nice and helpful. The restaurant underneath is also great and super convenient.

Went on the pub crawl with them, changed my mind after two minutes of understanding it's not something I would want to participate in. They didn't give me my money back, and argued with me about it. I want to live in a world where you are free to change your mind. A pity. The manager was so strict and saw the world so narrowly she couldn't even listen to me. If you want a place with a nice, listening staff do not go there.

this is one of the hostels that upload amazing pictures and you really hesitate if the place is like that for real. let me tell you that it is! thay have an amazing view of the city and the people working there including the managers, they always have an smile and help you out without problems. nice work!

Good location especially if you’re in the city to be in the heart of all the crazy. Chill vibe but didn’t seem to be warm enough to meet people. Rooms can be loud but it’s expected and I didn’t mind it at all. Close to great restaurants!

Nice hostel with extremely kind, welcoming staff. Social atmosphere. Feels just like family! They have a nice tv and couch to watch Netflix as well. The rooms are clean and nice. Can be quite loud at night, bring ear plugs if you like to sleep early.

I didnt stay here but visited. Place looked clean with a good crowd and very friendly staff.

Fast Internet, Comfortable Beds, Friendly Staff, Hot Showers, Free Breakfast, Amazing Hammocks, decent price for the area. Everything you want in a hostel. Area is a little loud until the bars in the area close for the night.

A great hostel, feels like true home in Medellin. The staff is so great! The facilities are good. You gotta stay here if you are in Medellin. A bit noisy at night, didn’t bother me

In my ten years of traveling, I have never been to a hostel with such accommodating and friendly staff. We kept extending our stay longer and longer because the staff made us feel like family. The hostel itself is also excellent. There is always hot water, 24hr access, awesome net hammocks to lay in, incredibly comfortable beds and a perfect location. Staying here is a must!

Great experience! Friendly staff, cozy terrace where you can drink and party. Perfect hostel if you are in a party mood and want to socialize. Everything was so clean.
