This place is a nice hotel, but I feel they capitalize on black men traveling. For me to have me friends and sister in law to to come over, I had to pay an additional 50 dollars. What the purpose of vacation to visit family if they can't come over. Also the treatment of darker colored people was negative. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone of color.

Quality place. Great free breakfast. The staff look out for you here. Guests must bring ID, no additional guest room charge. Outside looks alot better and modern than the photos show. Also the rooms and baths are very modern. Looks better than I expected. They got your standard hotel decent fitness center (cycle machine, limited free weights, etc). I'll always come back to stay here.

We stayed here in the sub-penthouse and it was really lovely. The staff are very kind and helpful, most of the front desk girls speak perfect English. This place is in the best location close to the bars and safe tourist areas. The room is very clean and nicely styled. It feels safe here and they took good care of you. Even a decent free breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend our best stay in Colombia so far!

Very good hotel. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Location was excellent, right in the centre of Poblado. The Metro is a 10 minute walk and the area is full of bars, restaurants etc. Roof-top terrace is spectacular. Perfect spot, day or night, to have a beer and taken in the incredible views of the city. Id definity stay here again.

The convenience of this location can't be beat, dining, train and party scene are just minutes away on foot. The rooms are great, clean and comfortable, and the staff is fantastic, their great English made up for my broken Spanish. The roof top terrace has great views night and day, as well as a jacuzzi, workout facilities and sauna. The breakfast is pretty good, nice and basic to nurse your recovery from a great night out on the town. I will definitely stay here again and recommend DIX for anyone else looking to stay in Medellin.

Definitely not what I was expecting, I felt me more like in a motel but not in a hotel, the girl at the reception was so rude, she was making an unpleasant check-in process and definitely a very uncomfortable welcome. Then the guy who guide us to the room made us feel not as guests but intruders and made us count every single peace at the room in case we will rob it and sign a paper for this, this was unbelievable! And I was with my 70 y.o. mother, First time ever we experienced this in a Hotel! I think he was a new team member but they need some training if they are working at the customer service industry. Pros: The area where is located Cons: There is a "buffet" but you cannot self serve, the bathroom is not separated but in the same room, lack of lighting in the room and I can't believe I booked this place for the jacuzzi and they said we couldn't use it because we needed to schedule it in advance but how can do that since we just arrived? no sense at all, they said it was booked already but went I came to the roof it was just empty and closed. Being this said, terrible customer service. Never again!

Ok accommodations, very little English, can be noisy! Good value. Beware, if a woman does not have Columbian ID, she will not get in under any circumstances. This rules out the majority of the girls, as they are Venezuelan. Also, after the first girl they will charge you 90 pesos extra, unless you chose single occupancy, then they will charge 90 pesos for the first girl too. If the girl does not have two forms of ID, she doesn't get in. So the hotel is a good value. However if you are interested in bringing women back with you, I would do your research and selected different hotel! We would have chosen another place and will not stay here again.

We stayed there only for a night but the staff was friendly and helpful the location is right next to all the bars and restaurants which makes it great to explore the are by foot. The breakfast was simple but satisfying and the staff was attentive. The only thing I didn't like was that I got the room with the jacuzzi in it and the jacuzzi seem to not have been cleaned probably which is ok I didn't mind rinsing bit but when I got in the a lid inside it kept falling of which was kind of annoying while I was trying to relax . But I would recommend it if you are in the area and want your private hot tub

The staff treated us with utmost respect and care. My boyfriend was on crutches the entire time and during check-in they suggested moving our room to the 1st floor, for easy access. This was very convenient since there’s only one elevator. The included Breakfast is scrambled eggs, your choice of toast, yogurt, juice, and more. We had the room with a jacuzzi and it was worth it. Yes, as other pointed out, you do pay for the items you used from the mini bar, that’s pretty common in many hotels and should not be an issue. Highly recommend going to the terrace on the top floor to view the sunset or sun rise. It is beautiful and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again, it’s so close to the nightlife and many pretty restaurants like Rustic. I am very grateful for the kindness of the staff at Hotel Dix.

Close proximity to everything 3 minutes walk from parque llegaras and 7 minutes walk to the subway station and 5 minutes walk from the supermarket that have almost all amenities great location and no taxi needed to go place in and around poblado parque

5 star experience. Big love to Katherine and Julio, who both took great care of me. I truly enjoyed my stay, from the smooth check-in process, reasonable guest policy (1 per night), small but functional gym, and rooftop views. I had a wonderful experience here that was close to all the action in Poblado. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Medellin.

Modern, friendly hotel in great location!! The top floor patio is a pleasant surprise and provides a panoramic view of the area….great place to hang out with refreshments. Oscar in particular is a helpful and speaks decent English. The free breakfast is simple but the fresh juice and caffe excellent. The rooms are spacious!

I unfortunately was slow to react to my immature guest but the staff was still amazingly accommodating and profession, the rooftop amenities are a nice touch the breakfast satisfying and there really isn’t a better location. If I had to give something constructive, a piece or two of some preferably local art in the room.

Place is trash, you can’t have friend here with out a passport. Very annoying to try to see my friends. Living in Medellin, I would recommend a place that’s more like an Airbnb.

Loved my 4 night stay here! Amazing location, in the middle of the busy Poblado area walking distance to many bars. But the room was quiet at night! Helpful staff and beautiful rooms. Delicious breakfast included aswell was a bonus!

The staff here was incredible and really made the stay, especially big shout outs to Carol and Orlando. The cleaning staff too. Very fast and efficient. The rooms are nice and very affordable. There is a lot of stuff to do around the hotel, so many things are a short walk away and are open very late at night.

The rooms are pristine, and price is very affordable and location is right in the middle of the action! Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel and excellent service. Very good beds , hot shower , cold AC. Best location. They Allow 1 guest per day. Staff and management is cooperative and excellent. No better place in Medellin.

Looks like they don’t want foreign tourists and rather stay with common opinion about Colombia to be famous and considered with Escobar era rather then inviting to visit this beautiful country. After the sleepless night (the reception joined the party and didn’t help) they refused to refund!!!! Be careful! They’re crooks! Also the rooms have no partition between bedrooms and bathrooms so all the shower humidity will cover the beds and your luggage. It’s a joke, and offense and breakfast sucks! Never, ever again! P.S the management don’t speak English, yea!

Average overall. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room, poor WIFI in room, and average throughout rest of hotel. Better breakfasts at hostels. Jacuzzi, steam room, and gym on roof are why I booked here, as well as location. View from rooftop is amazing, only drawback is you have to reserve the area… annoying. Location is excellent. Don’t try to bring guests as they will hassle you on weekends…

Stayed here just for the name. Just kidding. Really nice hotel, fantastic pricing, AMAZING service. Arjemiro, Juan Alejandra and Julian all went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. It's also a 45 second walk from the chabad. Amazing place really happy with it.

They duped me of $750 charged me twice, said I would be getting a refund but denied everything after. Soo many rules. You have to pay for additional guests. I have told all 18 of my friends who came for my bachelor party to leave their own reviews. Won’t be staying here again
