I think this is the 4th year in a row I have stayed here for an extended period of time. Very convenient as it's attached to the El Tesoro mall and the medical towers. Lots of food options (unfortunately not too many authentic Colombian foods available). Rooms are always immaculate and comfortable. Staff bends over backwards to give you the utmost service. The top floor with the bar/pool area is beautiful at night.

We had a great stay: The rooms are clean and spacious ! The sheets are nice and soft along with comfortable bedding and pillows. Location is perfect, and it is attached to a mall which is pretty kool. The rooftop pool is semi-heated but was still pretty chilly to swim in when we went. Note: There is no service on the pool deck - as in no towels or anything and you have to bring your own from the room. We did have breakfast in the hotel [PP floor] our last day there and it did not disappoint. I would not mind staying here again. Enjoy!

BEWARE!!!! I ALMOST WAS KIDNAPPED!!!! I was staying there for 5 days to get my teeth done with dr Londono. I am a young female traveling alone from Miami. 2 big men got in the elevator with me watched me press my floor number ,they then got off at the lobby floor and then when I proceeded to go to my my floor half way into my room I hear the stairway door open and they were running after me. Luckily I closed the door on time. It was the most traumatic experience of my life. I was terrified.. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if I was a few seconds late to shut my door. The hotel staff was absolutely heartless and lacked empathy. One of the managers even had the nerve to tell me that “oh what If they thought you were cute and wanted to get your number? “ …. ARE YOU SERIOUS ????? These men were running after me like I stole something of theirs. They were waiting for me. The hotel refused to view the camera (there was a camera right infront of my door, I’m sure the footage would’ve spoke for itself) they refused call the police. They said it would take 3 hours and if I wanted to wait in the lobby I could. I called one of my friends who had family in the area , they called the police themselves and they arrived immediately! The police were completely rude and disrespectful. They went to go speak to the guys and came back an hour later. Told me they can’t do nothing about it and that I should basically shut up. The hotel didn’t even offer to kick them out. In my opinion the hotel and cops are all in on this together and most likely set me up. I thank god that he was on my side because If I was a few seconds late to shut my door idk what would’ve happened. These guys looked like they trafficked girls . They were tall and muscular built. There was no way I would’ve been able to fight them off. Please be careful don’t make the mistake of traveling here alone as a woman. I never even left the hotel besides to my appointment and the mall inside to get food from the food court and took precautions and still almost got kidnapped. Colombia is known for trafficking.

An excellent hotel, plenty of staff, so I never really had to wait for anything, Housekeeping did a great job servicing the room. It has amazing views, but it is not in the heart of the city, so you'll need to taxi or uber to get around if you want to explore.

Overall disappointing experience. Pros - Breakfast was better than expected. Good options in a comfortable environment. - Friendly helpful staff - While already somewhat dated, amenities are generally good - Views and connected to the mall (not a pro in itself but some may deem this a plus) Cons - Musty smell in the room and thus the need to turn-off ventilation (windows do not open) - Cannot control thermostat and default setting seems to be on "glacier" - water temperature of shower is either scolding hot or lukewarm - Seems to attract party-goers (stayed weekdays and both nights woken-up multiple times - putting this as a cons but some might see this as a plus) - Location relative to main area of El Poblado All in all, there are better options at this price point.

Great location, rooms were impecable and massive. The view from the room I stayed in was absolutely stunning! The bar/restaurant in the last floor was perfect, with a decent menu if food and drinks, with an impressive view! The only feedback would be the time for the check-out, it could be a bit later!

Staff is very lacking in personal integrity. An issue arose during my stay and I was assured by two different upper level staff members that it would be resolved . They did not resolve the issue and to add insult to injury , they charged my credit card for additional costs . I assumed the issue would not actually be resolved when he told me the issue would be resolved , because when I looked the manager in the eyes and shook his hand and he looked away . Do yourself a favor and stay at an air b&b instead

The rooms and location was perfect! However their customer service needs improvement. The policy stated if someone additional stays past two days they'll charge extra. I advised the front desk I had a visitor they said it was okay and when visitor arrived they wanted to change me... for what? Visitor wasn't staying just visiting a couple hours. Also when I first told the front desk they never mentioned they were going to charge me extra. I won't go again to this spot. I would find elsewhere in the same location and much cheaper then what I payed!

The hotel is really nice and well located. I had an accommodation request to extend my stay for 10 days and Andrever Giraldo took good care of me! Andrever Giraldo is a really nice gentleman that help us and made our experience the best possible one. BIG thank you!

I’ve thought about having something done in my body and I’ve called my beautiful friends in Miami (they’ve all participated in beauty contests and I do not think anyone can explain the process better than them. These women are powerful and brave) On my first conversation with Dennis I’ve felt the good vibe and honestly then signed papers and flew to beautiful Medellin. Absolute Medical started to take care of me from the moment I’ve arrived. My first best friend I’ve during my tour was Damian the driver a beautiful young guy. He took me to Envigado on my first day, this place is a must go… there is a Pablo Escobar prison that now is a retirement home. He also took me to several historical places and I enjoy all tours so much. Second day wasn’t that much of excitement 🙈 I got my first dentist appointment… three beautiful Colombian women in a very nice dental spa took care of my dental work that I’ve been postponing for few years (yeah that was the hardest part) It hurts but worth. When the big day arrived, I went to doctor Diego Franco, we talked for a bit, then this other nice guy from Venezuela pinched my arm and I woke up in a different room missing seven kilograms of fat. After the surgery absolute medical assigned a nurse who took care of me 24/7 that was very nice, Diana, Erika and Ailen did all to make me feel good and taken care. Today is my last day in Medellin and I would like to express my thanks to Novotel staff for giving me the best view in town and absolute medical tourism for all your attentions and hard work ❤️

Awesome hotel !!! We had a great experience and the location is very convenient with the direct access to El Tesoro shopping mall. We were able to spend a little time each day doing some shopping there. The rooms are big, they were very clean and the view of the city from our room was everything, that was my favorite part of the stay. ** I have to mention that the only thing that we think can be improved is the breakfast. They offer different options to choose from but everything was really cold!!! It was really a shame because the food tasted good but the temperature made it difficult to eat. I’m not taking away any stars because we usually have breakfast at local places not a the hotel and I really would choose this hotel again when coming back to Medellin. Because everything else was great, all the employees including the housekeeping staff were so kind.

Location it’s amazing, plenty of parking, love El Tesoro, but the hotel needs lots of improvements. Customer Service: THE WORST I’VE EXPERIENCED!! TV: broken. SOAP: nowhere to be found. AESTHETIC: rooms are really nice and cute BED: separates from the wall, horrible to sleep in, moves everywhere. I think that the price with the issues and the horrible customer service it’s an ABUSE. The highlight of the hotel it’s the location beyond that!!! Better to find another hotel!

Staff bends over backward to please their guests. The continental breakfast is always on point: fresh fruit, plenty of choices, they even have a kid's station with waffles, cereal and other delectables kids enjoy. Great location, and it's attached to a shopping mall with a mini amusement park inside, all the stores you can enjoy. The facilities are very environment conscious and friendly too. There are not enough things I can say about this hotel.

This hotel is good if you are traveling and doing medical procedures in the medical offices attached to the hotel, it’s very conveniently located for in and out. The staff of this hotel are super rude. The front desk check in people are rude af upon checking in. The staff who speak English act like they can’t speak English. Everyone has an attitude if you don’t speak Spanish. This location is known for having foreign travelers who are English speakers and the money that we are spending here should be met with more kindness. The amount of attitude I received here from the staff, mostly from the front desk attendants was unacceptable. I’m not sure if they’re racist or just unkind to people who don’t speak English but I didn’t have a pleasant experience. The people attending the pool and cleaning the rooms were more friendly than the front desk people. I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights, the hotel itself is situated in a wonderful location, beautifully decorated and we were blessed with a wonderful view! Check in & Reception Pros: Font desk staff provided us with free breakfast for the entirety of our stay. Negative: We were charged the 19% tax, crazy expensive after already paying for our stay. Our hotel in Bogota did not charge us that. They treat their guests like hospital patients/prisoners. My mom and dad weren't able to come up to our room without security stopping us, making them register at the front desk (sure, ok, I understand wanting to keep track of their hotel guests) HOWEVER, it was 5pm one day, we went to register them so I could style my mom's hair, they told us, 'no guests allowed past 4pm, unless you want to pay an extra fee'. This was not a language barrier misunderstanding, as I speak fluent Spanish, this was also not a security protocol, as we were going to happily register them. This was the hotel trying to make more money off of their guests! It was not 10pm and us semmingly trying to sneak my parents into our suite over night. It left an absolute disgusting mark on our stay- being treated like a hospital or prison with 'visitation hours'. Room: Pro: Great view, comfortable beds, secure safe, clean! Negative: We simply requested a bottle opener for some beers we purchased in the mall (attached the hotel), they wouldn't leave the bottle opener with us, we had to call them to our room everytime we required a bottle to be opened. Pretty weird. Overall the hotel stay was good, I would consider staying there again, minus the whole guest thing and the tax (yes, I know it's countrywide). The location is awesome! Keep in mind the building is under construction.

Lovely hotel with modern and simple ambience. The rooms are super clean and the views are simply spectacular. Front desk is very helpful and speaks good English, but unfortunately the spa stafd inside the hotel and even room service spoke close to NO English. We came in late because we booked a driver and there was a mixup (hotel likely forgot to dispatch the driver and had to call an on-call private driver instead) and because of that, ALL RESTAURANTS in the mall was closed. We got room service and it was quite possibly the worst tasting food I had. Still, the hotel did try to give a nice bonus welcome for my wife's birthday as I requested which I appreciate. The location right by the El Tesoro mall is also really convenient as the mall had everything! Note that I've stayed here for 2 nights and am still here now.

This is my favorite hotel in Colombia! It is absolutely beautiful. The moment you enter the hotel you are greeted with kind and warm staff who make you feel right at home! I stayed on the 16th floor and had an amazing view of Medellin! The room was flawless. The gym was super clean. The pool was so serene! This hotel is spectacular. My favorite part was the breakfast buffet. It was absolutely amazing! I also loved the mall that is adjacent to the hotel. It has everything you can ask for, including amazing dining. If I could rate this hotel 10 stars, I would! Please stay here if you visit Medellin. You will not regret it! I will absolutely return! Thank you, all!

the room was on a high floor with an amazing view of the city. I loved the bed. it was sooo comfortable. the most important detail was that the hotel is connected to the mall, Tesoro. it made my shopping and dinning an unforgettable experience. I loved it.

Though a bit hectic to get in and out of due to the physical location at the mall, Novatel El Tesoro was an extreme pleasure as hotels are concerned. Wonderful staff. Attentive, Friendly, Happy people. Room was amazing. Clean, well maintained and operational. AC was fantastic.

I travel every 4 months to this hotel which even charges you for flip flops.....I will never travel to this hotel again because they always charge us 19% of some invented taxes, they say it is a law and the only way What you don't pay for is if you buy a tourist package, which for them would include breakfast in your stay, which we have already done and they continue to charge you even if you are a foreigner... I am a tourist and I am not interested in having breakfast at this hotel because it is very bad and it is of very low quality......As a tourist I am interested in going out and getting to know the city and having breakfast in typical places not in a hotel where the breakfast is a disaster......That's why never again I will stay at this hotel again...... They will no longer steal my money and this is not the only complaint, there are already too many about this abuse with tourists

I absolutely loved my stay here. This hotel is more like a resort. It’s attached to a HUGE mall with a gazillion restaurants, a mini amusement park, a supermarket, backery, ice cream shops, doctors offices and SO much more. Plus I felt extremely safe and welcomed here. I’d highly recommend.

Hotel was super. Only the bar at the top floor (20th)you better can not go there. Very unfriendly staff and not interested in guests and good wine

  • 5/5 Yalile V. 1 year ago on Google
I think the hotel is very well located. There’s no noise around, it has a cool view and it’s right next to a mall. On the other side, I think is very expensive and it doesn’t have too many options for food.

Great stay. Not super luxurious, but who spends that much time in their room, anyway? Everything was clean, towels nice and thick, service was super friendly, good food.

Our ONLY reason for booking this one vs others was the pool. If you are wanting to actually utilize the pool. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! First of all you had to have reservations as 10 is the max that is allowed. Which again due to COVID, these are things we are used to and were prepared for. What we weren't prepared for was the fact that you aren't able to order a drink from the bar and enjoy it anywhere on the pool deck. There is someone policing you and requiring that if you want to actually get in the water you have to pay for a required swim cap. Also this is only enforced for the women and not men (which don't even get me started on that). They claim that this is a government rule, but let me tell you out of the month I've stayed in Colombia (two weeks in Medellin) all with pools, this was the first time ever hearing about this. Also sun is completely gone by 3pm anyways due to the shade. The reception staff was rude during the check-in and check-out process. Not a single bit of my stay felt like a 4 star experience. Legitimately had nicer services at half the hostels I stayed at in Medellin. Do yourself a favor save your money and go elsewhere. Pros: nice clean rooms w/AC with amazing views

Awesome clean up to date hotel with very comfortable bed. Love that the hotel is attached to a very popular mall.

I have stayed in multiple hotels in Medellin for business. There have been a couple of times where staff members have been rude. They stopped me a few times asking if I was staying at the hotel when I clearly have been there for a week already. Unlike other hotels, they really don't provide you with much. Two water bottles for your whole stay, charge you for any guest that visits you, and for anything requested outside of what they provide. I prefer the Click Clack, Marriot, and Park 10.

Very nice hotel located and in a very good part of the city and connected to a wry big mall with a lot of o potion to eat and shop. It has a roof pool/bar but you can’t take the drinks to the pool. Rooms are nice with nice views

  • 5/5 Marlo H. 1 year ago on Google
The staff at this hotel is not only extremely helpful but very friendly. The room attendants are efficient and respectful. Rooms and property are clean with ample supplies. Great location attached to a very large shopping mall with restaurants, tons of kids activities and shopping of course.

Great hotel but POOR SERVICE! They dont have room service you have to go down to pick up your orders and 60 mil pesos If someone enters the room just to visit👎🏼

Me and my wife needed to be in Medellin for a week. We split our trip between 2 hoteles. This one have a great location next to the shopping mall. But the staff of this hotel destroying it. From the recaption that act with impudence to the breakfast. Specify one worker name Vanessa that work in the breakfast she acting like you trying to steal the food. Anyway if you looking for the mall and easy excess and you don’t care from customer service use this hotel. I will not use it again. There is much batter hotels in Medellin and some of them even cheaper

  • 3/5 Lina R. 2 years ago on Google
It was ok but definitely not a 4 star hotel experience. Room is pretty basic. We had to ask for extra towels and linens several times before getting what we needed. The pool is useless with all the requirements and restrictions. Breakfast was not very tasty. Lots of options but just not delicious. The bar upstairs was nice but overall I wouldn’t stay there again.

I leave a green Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket Xl that cost USD 398.83 in Room 1412 in my stay from the 6 -August -21 to 16-August -21 and they never return it only return two small green pillows. Not a good place because you don't find later what you leave in the room at checkout.

So I checked in this morning check-in was pretty easy. I booked a hotel because It had a nice rooftop pool and bar was going to stay at what I thought it was a nice hotel with good service and enjoy the weekend. I was not told anywhere that I needed to make a reservation for the pool no one informed me that even when I called downstairs to ask what floor the pool was on. Also don’t plan on sitting by the pool enjoying a frozen drink because you cannot have any drinks including water by the pool. I have wasted my money on what I thought was a good hotel to enjoy A weekend completely ridiculous. Next time I’ll book the Sheraton or the Marriott. And also the rooms are not very luxury they’re pretty basic the bed is comfortable but there’s no thrills.
