This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST! I have been requesting to speak to a supervisor for over 24 hours. No one is ever available. The front desk staff is RUDE & condescending. It took over 4 HOURS to check in with a 3 MONTH OLD BABY! Second day we were there they called to let us know that in 15 minutes they were going to clean the room. We left & 8 hours later the room is not fixed. When i called down there to speak to someone the response i got was “its not my problem “ they cant do anything for me & the will let someone know. Then they hang up on me!!!! I go down there to speak to someone, they treat me as if i am stupid & making the whole thing up!!! They “supposedly “send someone up to clean the room. While i speak to 2 separate supervisors who are unable to help me because it is not their department. I come back upstairs to the room & there is ABSOLUTELY NO ONE cleaning the room 15 minutes later. It is unbelievable that this is how the treat guests that are gold elite members & have booked the presidential suite. Needless to say I DO NOT Recommend this hotel, nor will i Ever stay here again.

For being a Marriott and staying at the elite level I was expecting a high level of service and the hotel delivered on that. Where I had issues with was the maintenance of the room, and then especially the bathroom. Now with covid cleanliness is extremely important and the bathroom had an quarter inch gap in the floor under the bathroom door between the bathroom floor (tile) and the rest of the room. This gap was filled with debris. The caulking in the shower also had gaps in it and all in all it just felt not finished and ready for the level of service we are used to in a Marriott. The one thing I did absolutely love was the view at night. Looking out over Medellin with all the lights was awesome and mesmerizing.

I was not at all happy with the reception at this hotel. They tried to get me to pay for my stay in advanced as if I was a thief that was going to run away in the night. As it’s customary I asked them to put a hold on my credit card and bill me at the end of my stay but they refused. So my options were to pay one day at a time in advanced or they wouldn’t allow me to check in at all. I paid for one night since I was too tired to find another hotel, and asked them to contact the manager so that I could speak to them. About an hour later when they finally reached the manager, they refunded me the one night and allowed me to pay at the end of my stay. The front desk staff has absolutely no clue how to receive and make customers welcome, and it takes a manager to make decisions. The hotel itself is modern, gym is excellent, pool is small but adequate. Their lounge was opened, but limit consumption to two alcoholic drinks during happy hour. If you are a frequent traveler with Marriott, you will be disappointed with the operations at this hotel.

The hotel is in a good and safe area. There is plenty of places you can walk to from there from dining to shopping. The furthest was we walked was to Santafe Mall and that was 10-15 minutes. The staff was helpful. Our room was large with plenty of space and modern. There were a few things that I noticed. When we got off the elevator, the floor smelled bad. It smelled like dirty feet. And every floor smelled the same. I checked other floors to make sure it wasn't us but it wasn't. Upon checking in, we noticed that there were other couples trying to check in and get a room but only for a few hours & not over night. Maybe that is the norm but I wasn't ready to see that with my family. Overall, it was a nice experience & worth a stay.

We had a stay for four nights five days. My guys and I was in Colombia for vacation and we had a great stay. I would only say that the breakfast and Bar area staff needs to improve the service. On the day of check out, I got back to the hotel at 9:25 and order breakfast from the breakfast area that closes at 10:00 AM everyday. I order hashbrown, bacon and scrambled eggs. Approximately 7 minutes later, two of my friends come down and sat right next to me. The waiter comes over and take their order and goes over to the kitchen and put it in. Their order was almost the same except they ask for cheese and onions within their eggs. About 12 minutes later, my friends order comes out and not my order. However, I put the order in before them. At this time it is about 9:45. We have a car that coming to the Hotel to pick us up at 10:00 and I have to still go up stairs and grab my suit case from the room. I go and ask the waiter about my order and he comments give me a few minutes. After 8 minutes went past my order still hasn't came. Now I waiting until the last minute because I was hungry and I knew we were about to have a long day traveling so I wanted to eat well before traveling all day. Well at 9:58 I got up in a hurry because I need to run upstairs to grab my bags and my friends were there with their bags. As I was getting up to go and get my bags, he starts coming with the food, but never made it to the table before I am at the door leaving. I told him that I have no time now to eat the breakfast, our driver is here now and I have to grab my bag from upstairs. He just shrug his shoulders and gave it to someone else. The Bar area servant were very slow to bring drinks. Waiting 10 minutes for a drink when the bar has 7 9 individuals within it I think is a tab bit slow. Everything else for this Hotel was great. Service, cleanliness, doorman, guess serviceman, and the front desk staff All were great.

Location is excellent. Very good locations to so many things. Mall, barber, banks, Dr offices and plenty of restaurants. Andres, Felipe and Pedro exemplify going above and beyond. They made the stay more enjoyable. Very personable and attentive.

Decent location, nice and clean hotel. As a titanium member and frequent Marriott customer, this is the first time that I see an executive lounge that opens at 1pm meaning you can’t get work done in the morning or if you arrive early like me and room isnt ready, you can’t go wait in the lounge…

Not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are small and outdated with no additional services you would find at a traditional 5 star hotel such as umbrellas (rain is frequent in Medellin), money exchange services, or a fridge you can store items (it’s weight based). We were charged the VAT despite being foreigners on check-in which we raised concern with. Staff were rude, unapologetic, and instead offered an option to waive the “mandatory” tax if we paid the same price for a hotel provided breakfast package. We haven’t had to pay this tax at any other western chain hotel in Colombia thus far. Room was sticky and the fan and ac barely worked, and the pool was dirty with garbage. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

A great hotel, in a great location, all the amenities you would expect from a Marriott. Francisco in the executive lounge was an exemplary member of staff who made our stay that little bit more enjoyable.

Exactly what to expect at a city Marriott. The gym is excellent as is the pool.

👎👎👎STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Had a job interview at this place only to be told they wanted someone with experience even after I gave them my resume, later on they offered me another job and they told me they will give me a call but they never did, totally unprofessional and a big waste of my money and time going to this place, if this is the treatment they give to their potential employees I can’t imagine how they treat their customers, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great hotel in the BEST location in town. Friendly staff. The venezuelan guy working at the VIP lounge is the best. But the staff at the front door does need better training.

Was pleasantly surprised by the up to date, cleanliness, friendliness, and service and food. Everyone was nice. I had a spa treatment where i got massaged then covered in a chocolate scrub. Yes as amazing as it sounds. Highly satisfied and recommended.

Booked mother's day reservation for the Market weeks in advance and the restaurant apparently lost our reservation on the day we showed up with my wife and baby! Their record system is terrible and if you speak to someone on the phone then most likely it will not be done despite it is says it was done. Do not trust people on the phone.

We didn’t stay at this hotel but came for The Market Brunch (a buffet). The price is about 140,000 cop, alcohol included. The food selection is just amazing and top notch. They had Peruvian, Mexican, Japanese, and of course, Colombian selections. Lots of seafood and steak dishes too. We had a lot of fun trying all the delicacies. The hotel is beautiful, service is great (as expected of a Marriott), and live rock music serenaded us as we gorged. Definitely a great spot for some high end gourmet cuisine!

I recently stayed at this hotel. My stay was a perfect 10. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the hotels staff is. They made my stay at the hotel exceptional. Thanks for making my vacation a perfect 10

Overall, if this is a four-star hotel I would say it's a pretty good one. If you think of this as a five-star hotel then I would say it's way below average. I appreciate that this Marriott brand is trying to punch above its weight with the security guard and some of the amenities. I wasn't able to give this place five stars because compared to other hotels in Latin America, the service here is just not very friendly. The Japanese restaurant is tiny. The lobby is a bit small and can get very crowded quickly. The rooms are playing and okay. Net, net. I like the location in poblado but there's nothing really special about this hotel. There's also nothing terrible about it.

Room and hotel appearance are exceptional. Location of hotel ideal. The items that need improvement center around customer service. Firstly, it is almost impossiible to reach the hotel through thier published phone number. Secondly, the internal custmer service desk is rarely manned. Calling the front desk for customer service only gets the response to "call customer". Thirdly, the hotel does not have an adequate process to collect and safeguard items left behind in rooms. If you accidently leave anything behind, don't bother calling trying to call the hotel to retrieve the item(s). Lastly, the hotel charges a 3% fee when using a credit card for payment. No where else in Medellin charges a fee when using a credit card for payment.

This Marriott was excellent! We truly enjoyed the overall customer service, the delicious breakfast at The Market, and the amenities at the Elite Member's Lounge. Amazing view of the city of Medellín from our room couldn't be beat either. The room was comfortable, but we did have safety concerns with the shower being so high to get in and out, and only 1 glass panel as a door - interesting design for sure. We heard from several employees that it's the only 5 star hotel in Medellín, and if it's true, we can see why. We also felt safe at all times as they had security 24/7 right in the lobby, not that we felt it was needed. Nice stay!

Wonderful week stay at the Marriott in Medellín. Great atmosphere, Comfortable rooms, the food was amazing and the staff were spectacular and helpful. Especially thankful for the phenomenal service from Francisco in the Lounge and Snieder In the Market. Five star service all around :)

I reserved a suite. Somehow they changed my reservation against my wishes back to a normal room. Upon checkin, my suite was denied even though it was available. I got conflicting stories from management and staff as to why I was not granted my suite. Management told me it was available, yet they wouldn’t allow me to have it. Not only that, but they wouldn’t refund me. I have to go through Marriott to receive my refund. It seems very scammy and I was greatly displeased with the service I received. I will not be staying here again.

The staff truly go out of their way to give your stay a personal touch. Francisco, Aquiles, Darwin, Camila, Pedro, and Felipe are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met.

To review the hotel itself, is a wonderful property in the poblado neighborhood. However, the staff and the management interaction is a joke. Very incompetent management staff that takes weeks to reply to a simple request. Rooms keys took 5, yes 5 attempts to get a working room key. Cleaning comes at around 7 pm EVERY NIGHT we were there. The room is empty the whole day when we go sight seeing, but when we come back to rest later in the day, the cleaning crew shows up(literally 7 pm or later!!). Absolutely no upgrades for our Titanium status. No staff in the spa unless there is an appointment. Sauna doesn’t heat up. Towels in the spa are on demand. And if you are missing your hotel bill, you can send emails requesting them, and PRAY that someone would reply to those emails. Not what we are used to at the Marriott’s properties.

Amazing hotel and service! The poolside rooms are the best to relax and enjoy the view with a heated pool open most of the day. Nice gym and amenities and the food/cocktails downstairs are amazing! Definitely will stay here again during my next visit to Medellin.

Great Hotel with a wonderfull pool and an excellent breakfast option, in fact not a lot of hotel have this option. Room are well desing and very confortable. Gym has a lot of machines and space to do excersice is a safe space, but if you sweat a lot the is enough face mask to replace it. Finally the front desk is very friendly and always ready to resolve your questions.

High end hotel in a great location. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast buffet was great and had steak on it one day in addition to the omelet station. Strongly recommend

My mom and I stayed at the Marriot in Medellin. The hotel is very clean, rooms are very nice,  the beds are very comfortable, and the staff were always making sure we had a clean room. The breakfast was okay, but dinner at both restaurants was excellent, the sushi is delicious. The location was very convenient and safe. Internet is fast, I didn’t have any problems working from my room. Staff are very friendly. My mom and I were concerned about safety as we were alone in Medellin, but Sebastian Arango was always willing to help with recommendations on places to go and answering any questions we had. The cleaning lady was very nice, making sure we had extra shampoo and extra towels. Jesica was also very friendly and made sure my mom was well taken care of.

This is my fifth trip in Medellin Marriott over the past year. Most of the staff from the reception to restaurant and housekeeping are really nice people. Both restaurants on premises have great food. The property is just off the major street in El Poblado giving the advantage of less traffic. Very close to the malls and all the great restaurants.

Thank you to Marriott hotel staff for making my stay really great and comfortable. Especially to Sebastian Arango. He was really helpful to my father and I. Anything we needed from transportation, helped us with places we needed to visit, restaurants recommendations, etc. My room was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast is delicious. Medellin in general was an awesome experience. Definitely coming back.

We had a late check in around midnight due to flight delays. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating! I was thirsty and while there wasn’t a vending machine available they so kindly brought me a glass of mandarin (or tangerine I forget) juice. It was much appreciated and thoughtful gesture. Hotel is very clean with a beautiful design from the lobby to the hotel bathrooms. Small interior details like the bedroom light fixtures were pretty cool. Pool was lack luster but that was fine because that wasn’t important to us. If it was, it would suffice but it wasn’t anything to be wowed about. If I returned to Medellin, I’d 100% select this hotel again

I was impressed with how well I was treated as a platinum member. The staff were flexible with early check-in and late check-out. I was also surprised that the executive lounge offers not only snacks but also a buffet dinner with two drinks!

Just arrived here and from the start the customer service and welcoming was terrible. I reserved a certain room and turns out they switched it and put me in another and then have the nerve to try and charge me $120 dollars for my original room. Vanessa who took care of me had a bad attitude and Pablo the Manager - didn’t even go out their way to make situation better. Won’t be staying here again for sure.

Great rooms, pool, gym, spa, comfortable slipper and bed, breakfast and bar area. Location is excellent. It would be nice to add training for house keeping on ‘do not disturb’ signs and increase speed of check in.

this is the worst hotel i have been to. It is too expensive for the service they provide. I stayed two days and requested an appointment for a massage at your spa. and when I arrived there was no one for the service. There are not enough housekeeping staff. our room was made at 5:00 pm finalmente after i have called several times to the reception.

Stayed here for two night while visiting Medellin and loved the stay. The breakfast was amazing and had a wide variety of local food along with the breakfast essentials. The room was great and clean. Definitely happy we booked the Marriott while we visited Medellin.

I love the Marriott, so I’m always partial. We booked a trip to Medellin at the last minute and I saw there was a Marriott. Even better, they took my free night certificates. When we arrived everyone at the front desk was so nice. They upgraded my room to the concierge floor which always makes for a nice stay. The room was big and had a beautiful view of the city. The concierge lounge is nice and the staff is helpful and friendly. They serve the best cafe con leche and the chocolate chip cookies are good too. The gym is nice and it has a spin bike. I was able to access my Peloton app on my phone and get a few rides in. Housekeeping was excellent and left the extra towels we asked for. I really liked Medellin and knowing there’s a beautiful, sparkling clean Marriott is a plus. I never have to worry about where to stay when I come back to Medellin

am originally from Medellín, but I always stay at the Marriott Medellín because they offer the most outstanding service in the city. The location is great because it is very central, the cleanliness, security, service and food makes it the most attractive property to stay at. The rooms are spacious and clean, they have a members lounge that it is always filled with fresh tapas and snacks. The gym is extremely modern, luxurious spa and super cool pool. The restaurants are exquisite. Chef Luis Malaver always makes the most delicious and elaborate pastries and sweets. The breakfast has tons of options and for dinner you can choose between the sushi restaurant, Nau or The Market. Honestly, you don’t even have to leave the Marriott to grab a delicious meal. I would like to thank Sneider, Camila, Jennifer, Aquiles, Florena at Nau, Dayana and Esteban for their outstanding and attentive service. And, Chef Juan Manuel and Chef Luis Malaver for always putting so much detail and talent to the cuisine. Also, if you go tot he lounge you will have excellent service from Francisco. He is extremely charismatic and helpful. And, I would like to highlight the honesty and cleanliness of all the housekeepers, especially Leidy. Until next time!

The staff were the best I’ve experienced in a long time. Always with a smile, they were great at answering questions and helping out. Loved the rooms and pillows! Gorgeous design made this a special place, great for a weekend stay for tourism! Super breakfast buffet! Of course, the coffee was outstanding.
