nice hostel but far from good: good: the kitchen is good and well equipted (chairs need to be replaced) a really nice 24h supermarket is close by cheap price bad: $200 in € + BRL stolen from my room no locker inside the rooms rooms are small / filled with too many beds no breakfast included as advertised no individual light or power outlet for every bed 5% extra charge if you pay with credit card no good place available to work on your laptop some beds with very worn out mattress for security reasons, at least one more camera needs to be installed, to see who goes in and out of the rooms. it's an old house where they just put as many beds in the rooms as possible without much comfort or privacy. with more attention to detail this could be a good hostel...

The hostel staff received us very nicely and let us check in early as we were tired from our journey, so we could go to rest. They also quickly gave us recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafés. The hostel itself is really quiet and cozy, neither cars nor motorcycles are unpleasantly and loudly heard. Also the cleanliness is commendable.

Such a lovely place to stay. It is clean, well located in a safe area of Medellin. Staff is lovely and especially pahola who will make your stay there unforgettable!

The reception guy was lovely and the location was good. But there was a problem that toped everything: the noise in the roon was UNBEARABLE. In the roon was a door right to a restaurant, and there was very loud music all day until 11 pm. We couldn't even be in the room until they shut down, not to talk about sleeping. We complained at the hostel's reception about the noise (because the restaurant belongs to the hostel), and the lady went to talk to the restaurant to lower down the music a bit, but they didn't do it. She said this never happened before and it's just a private party and thats the reason for the noise, but. After reading reviews in booking, i saw its a problem that a lot of people complained about. I just don't understand why would you put a dorms so close to a noisy restaurant. Very dissapointing and annoying.

Very good hostel. Not really located in the main tourist spot, but rather in a well off neighborhood near a bunch of modern shopping malls. The tourist area is easily accessible by metro though (only one station away). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were adequate. The first room, a double with a private bathroom was large, clean, had a tv, hot water and a reasonably recent bathroom. It's located right next to the bar though which makes it a little noisy at times. The second a double with shared bathroom on the second floor was also clean, but very small and had a window with no drapes which was kind of hard to cover up (people could definitely see in from the other side of the street). Both beda were rather hard. The included breakfast was overall good, including juice, fruit, coffee and toast. Some mornings the eggs were a little on the undercooked side for our taste, but I guess it's a matter of preference on that. Overall we had a good experience and the hostel was good value for the money. Would recommend.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location; close to metro, large supermarkets and amazing restaurants. Friendly staff who are always happy to help and support creating the friendly atmosphere. Really good free breakfast, includes eggs and juice. If you see Andrew (one of the owners) make sure you get his tips for Park Arvi!

Overall good atmosphere and rooms are clean. Only issue for me is the whole common space smells like cigarette smoke. If that bothers you, not the best, if you don’t mind the smoke, it would be a great place.

Nice hostel, dormitory of 4 very comfortable (I recommend this one). Spacious kitchen and bathrooms with hot water. Only flaw is the lockers, in the room there aren't (just a common wardrobe) the only ones are in the kitchen, very smalls and placed along a very narrow corridor. I really appreciated the proximity to the beautiful and big Santa Fe Shopping Center (5 min by walk).

Very poor. Arrived late but got shoved into a room not explaining anything to us, not even where the bathrooms were. The room looked nothing liked what we booked and was extremely noisy, and looked like daylight in the room the curtains were that bad! Then when we asked to move rooms, they done nothing about it. Went to see them again to see what was happening and they were chilling having breakfast. Poor receptionists. Cold showers. Don’t recommend. We left a few hours of waking up.

This is the best hostel we have been in Colombia. The staff are always available and very kind. There is a kitchen equiped with fridge, stove and all the basics to cook. The beds are confortable and the spaces clean. I advice.

Good location, in El Poblado but off the main road so it’s a calmer area. Pretty clean (the downstairs bathroom is nicer than the upstairs), and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Mauricio is the best! Saved us by giving us a room when we had nowhere to go. Ivy Hostel staff was very nice and helpful, Hostel itself has a great location, good beds and finally good WIFI! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for couple of nights and it was super good. The places is clean, the staff is helpful and the kitchen is well equipped too. Over all a very nice experience. Cheers!

The owner of the place is a nice welcoming guy. But beware! BED BUGS. Me and a friend were horribly bitten. Definetely it had a bad impact on my Medellin experience ;(

Super nice people in a quiet area. I especially liked the mini-market terrace where you can enjoy a good coffee and chill.

We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. The place is clean but already worn down and quite noisy. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good.

So far so good, very nice hostel, fair price. Some noise by night but nothing to worry about
