I was not sure what to expect when we pull onto the parking area. Almost decided to leave but decided to go in anyway. For a $5 entry fee, it was well worth it. You won’t be disappointed and some of the birds may even talk to you! Enjoy and have fun.

My family and I loved it here! It's amazing what they do for these birds, and as long as you listen to instructions, feeding the birds is so much fun and fulfilling. We all fell in love with Lulu the cockatoo. The bug spray was much appreciated.

This is a nice little place if you have kids. The people are nice. They give you food at the entrance to feed the birds. They teach you how to feed as well so that the birds don’t bite us. There are multiple macaw birds in the cages. They also have some peacocks which walk around freely. Overall, this was a nice experience.

We loved it. Absolutely beautiful birds that you can feed with the supplied food. Almost 150 exotic birds in multiple cages. The attendant was very friendly and educational. A must see if you are in the area.

What an awesome place! We stumbled upon this place while searching for something to do with our kiddoes. We were not disappointed! My husband and I enjoyed it just as much as our little ones. The staff was incredibly friendly and the birds are very loved. I believe our absolute favorite was the free roaming peacocks.

Lots of beautiful birds. Admission is 5$ for adults , they give you food to feed the birds with. The emus are alot of fun to feed and their little roars are amazing. A couple of the birds are super talkative and like interacting. Staff is super friendly as well.

We really like this place. It's so easy to get to right off of nine mile, it's not too expensive, and there are so many birds to see, feed, and talk to. There are beautiful macaws and other birds. Our kids absolutely love visiting here. It doesn't take a lot of time to walk around and you know that your money is going to a good cause helping to rescue and care for beautiful birds.

Amazing time for a low cost! Fed many types of birds, including peacocks, macaws, and emus! The volunteers were very friendly. Also, this place is NOT like a professional zoo and not like a corporate ran place. It may look a little run down. However, I think it adds to the charm. It's truly a hidden gem!

Adorable birds, dedicated, helpful volunteers. Food to feed the birds comes with the price of admission. Some are biters, so be careful, especially with the larger parrots. With the proper technique, you can hand feed those birds while keeping all of your fingers; ask volunteers for advice.

This is such a cute place, it was our first stop in Florida. 5 bucks gets you entry and a bowl of assorted bits of food to feed the birds, which is insanely reasonable compared to a lot of similar types of attractions. I got to see so many cool types of birds and we hand fed the peacocks, at the end they had a sweet little grey bird they were passing around to hold, it was an absolute blast. I miss George lol he's such a goofy bird, I wanted to steal him hahaha. I'm not sure I'd bring very young kids here, the birds do bite if ya were to stick your hand up in the cages, but if they're keen on following instructions you'll probably be alright.

My wife and I only intended to volunteer long enough to learn how to care for large birds, in anticipation of getting a Cockatoo. However, we fell in love with Uncle Sandy's, the birds, and the other volunteers. We have been coming back regularly for the last 4 years, even after we adopted our first large bird (coincidentally not a Cockatoo). If you're looking for an interactive and educational experience that won't break your budget, Uncle Sandy's should be at the top of your list of places to visit. Uncle Sandy's is a nonprofit organization, so your entry fee and all donations go directly to the birds there. Uncle Sandy's is the best kept secret destination in Pensacola.

We absolutely loved this place. It’s so cute and the vibe is chill. So many birds to look at and they were all beautiful. It was a little rustic looking when pulling up but do not let the looks fool you. This place is amazing. Definitely recommend adding this to your things to do list.

Great place for a few hour visit. Lots of beautiful birds you are able to few through the cages. $5 for a cup of food and that is the only cost for the a chance to see macaws up close.

We had a 6 yo visiting and found him using his binoculars out in our back yard listening and looking for birds. He was strumming a guitar on his tablet because he heard birds liked that. So we took him to Uncle Sandy’s. He loved the peacock and played for him. He was too short to feed the caged birds but he kept playing for them. The volunteer was great educating all of us on the birds. What a great experience to see all the exotic birds up close instead of on Instagram. It’s a smaller park but it was fun. Other families were visiting as well

Oh my goodness, I love this place. It's not very large but I still spent a little over 2 hours there feeding and talking to the birds. It only costs $5 (cash only / feed included). I will definitely be back again in the future. There are a few other animals there which was a special treat. Great experience!! Highly recommended.

A really incredible place with friendly volunteers and great birds. My only regret was that I didn't have time to interact with every bird! All of the money goes towards the care and maintenance of the birds.

Very friendly volunteers there. You walk around the multiple enclosures and can feed them. They mark the ones that like to bite with red stars so you know what to look for. Definitely worth checking out!

This place is pretty neat! Three people who work there are super friendly and smiling and funny. My daughters and I had a great time. Is more than affordable. The birds are loud and it's clear which ones are ok to feed and which ones might try to nip a finger. Very up close and personal experience. Albino peacock was beautiful. Thanks Sandy for helping my little girl feed Snowy! You made her day. We will be coming back

You guys gotta go! Amazing family experience for my 7 and 11 year olds. The staff is so friendly and helpful but not micromanaging the experience. There has to be 100 large birds here. Really fun and such a great price! I would have paid double for this experience!

This is a beautiful little place. Unassuming when you first arrive, but quaint. Some of the most unassuming places are the most interesting and engaging. This is one of those. You have the opportunity to feed the birds and see them up close. Squeals of delight from the kids and laughs and smiles from all. We are retirement age, but kids at heart, and thoroughly enjoyed visiting here. We almost didn’t enter because it looked so small, but with the reasonable entry fee and the fact we had driven 35 mins, we decided to give it a go. Glad we did!

This is a great hands-on bird experience. You are free to walk about at your family's own pace. It really is fun for all ages. I love how cheap it is. This really is a cool stop if you visit Pensacola.

If you’re in the area, this place is an absolute MUST SEE! There are so many beautiful birds that you can feed at an incredibly low price! We didn’t want to leave and if we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!

Very kind and friendly staff, and a really fun bird park! All birds have a different personality that is very fun to observe. Some will even talk to you. Very reasonable price and they also offer a military discount.

Staff is nice, it's a residential home turned into a sanctuary for birds. My toddler, wife and sister had a blast feeding the various birds. For price vs interaction with animals it's a great value. Around 1 to 1.5 hour activity.

Amazing place to visit, so many beautiful birds of all sizes. The owners and workers are great at educating visitors about the birds and demonstrating how to safely feed them. Must visit location for the amazing price of $5 with children being discounted!

Very nice, small place. Only takes cash, $5 per adult, well worth the price. We really enjoyed the emu and the peacocks. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

When we arrived at Uncle Sandy’s I was like I don’t know about this. But we went in anyways and boy sure glad we did. We were able to feed a lot of the birds with the food provided. They all look like they are well cared for and have plenty of things to keep them occupied. Got to see the peafowl which was my main priority and ended up with some beautiful pictures. Will come back next time we are in the area. Highly recommend
