The location is beautiful, serene, and well kept . The accommodations are perfect . We stayed in the Glamping tents and I loved the added bonus of an outdoor shower. Everything is very clean. The owner is great and maintains the property well. There’s lots of trails that go down to the creek and if you have time to check out the stargazer it is amazing at night . They also have bunnies, fish, and roosters by the playground and greenhouses.

Coldwater gardens is such a regional treasure! I almost don’t wanna leave such a glowing review for fear that it will become too popular and hard to make reservations, but I also wanna make sure they succeed and more people can experience the wonder. I am just off a spectacular weekend shared with five other families. We were 12 adults and 15 kids across six different cabins. Everyone had their own space where they could retreat for a quiet moment or poop in peace 😂. There is also so much common space for running, playing, hiking and biking with a group! The grounds are tranquil and natural and you can feel your rhythm reset as soon as you come through the gate. As a parent of young kids, it was incredibly satisfying to see our kids feel so free and explorative! They were mesmerized by the animals- peacocks, goats, pigs, bunnies, and chickens! The boys spent hours staring into the Koi ponds, while the girls flipped cartwheels in the lawn. We all came together for bonfires and storytelling! Our whole weekend felt simple, easy, natural, and restorative! Our group is already comparing calendars to get another Coldwater weekend on the books. I could not recommend this place more enthusiastically! Book it!

Amazing experience. The tents stay just the perfect temperature, the scenery is beyond beautiful. Lots of beautiful plants to look at , and the garden areas are laid out with trails that are lit up at dark. It rained during the first part of our stay which added to the experience , it was so peaceful with the rain coming down. Can't wait to come back again.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time! It was just the relaxing getaway we sought. Woke up to deer 🦌 walking about every morning and ended each day by the fire. There are trails to hike or bike, which also lead to the beautiful creek. It was wonderful. We look forward to returning next year!

This is our third trip and have always stayed in the cabana. We love it! The shower has been upgraded and I noticed the grounds were even more beautiful. My only request is that the cabana desperately needs some more outdoor seating like most of the other glamps, cabins and houses. We only have 2 dining chairs and 2 uncomfortable “fire pit” chairs while the others had plentiful and more comfortable chairs. Other than that, perfect!

My daughter and I stayed in a cabin and we plan to stay again soon! the cabin was beautiful and clean and so peaceful! Very modern and tastes fully decorated space with everything you need to make your stay easier. It had a cute screened in porch and was nestled in the trees and was very private. The entire grounds are gorgeous and it’s a very short walk to the creek was easy to access! We spent all day swimming and relaxing in the water! I highly recommend staying- its a beautiful and easy getaway for the family!

I have stayed at Coldwater Gardens several times in the past, and LOVE it. The grounds are perfect, and the accommodations are the perfect mix of camping and glamping. Beautiful gardens and nice trails, with access to creek activities. The staff is friendly and very eager to make your stay the best it can be.

We loved the property. My sons and I stayed in a glamping tent. Check in was easy, the tent exceeded my expectations. It was a chilly night so we used the electric blankets and stayed warm. Plenty of electric plugs, indoor & outdoor lighting, mini fridge, outdoor sink and convenient hose for putting out the campfire. The tent was clean, very large, comfortable mattresses and bedding. The restroom/bathhouse was close and clean. They provided travel size shampoo and body wash. The property is lovely with nature trails through wooded areas and to sandbars along the creek. There are also gardens, goats, chickens, and bunnies you can hold and pet near the office. Hammocks and a playground as well. The whole experience felt quaint, personal and peaceful. I highly recommend and plan to make returning a family tradition.

We very much enjoyed our glamorous camping at Coldwater. Excellent house keeping. Lovely little farm, green house, zen garden and well maintained common area. Hiking on creek side trails and spending leisure time on south sand bar pebble beach made you feel that you are in your own secret garden. The only downside is that there’s a navy airbase nearby so you hear and see planes often.

Such a peaceful getaway with out loosing any comfort. My husband and I stayed in a cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin was extremely clean and smelled amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were all soft and smelled freshly laundered. They had everything we needed and more. The website gave a list of things to bring and it was very accurate. We will definitely be back to enjoy it with our kids next time.

It’s a wonderful place to stay with great accommodations in great surroundings! We stayed at the new canopy cabin. It was perfect: comfortable for our family of five. The folks that run it are very gracious and clearly passionate about offering a great getaway. They have a tiny Noah’s Ark-worth of animals to interact with, several sand banks for hanging out at the creek, and all in a natural setting. Do check it out.

Celebrated our 9 year old daughter’s birthday with family and friends. Rented several of the cabins & yurts. Everyone had a blast and was extremely comfortable. Ownership was very friendly and accommodating. We were planning our return trip before we left. See you guys soon!!

Coldwater Gardens is the perfect location to get away from it all. The cabins, the grounds and staff are all exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Our children enjoyed getting to pet the bunnies, feed the fish and see their goats. Overall, we had a blast and can’t wait to come back!

We LOVE glamping at Coldwater Gardens. It’s a beautiful location, the sand bars are nice and secluded and the accommodations are just what you need to camp comfortably! I look forward to many more vacations spent here as my kids grow and many more memories made! We didn’t see the peacocks or goats this last trip, I hope we see them again…(or some to replace the old ones)!!

We booked two glamping tents number two and number three. I'm in a motorized wheelchair and glamping tent number 3 is wheelchair accessible. It is also right next to the bathhouse which was very convenient. Our queen size beds were so comfortable(it convinced me to buy a new mattress) and the electric blankets came in very handy. It was in the 40's at night but with the electric blankets it was perfect. Of course until we got out of bed! LoL We will definitely go again and highly recommend for anyone including a family, a couple or just friends!

We stayed in the treehouse on our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted to do it again for our 25th!! What a beautiful, serene, enjoyable adventure! We saw deer come within 50 feet of the treehouse, then they bedded down right next to us!! How exciting! The room was spacious, and offered 2 beds. Nicely decorated, too. I can promise you, we’ll be back!

Third time at Coldwater Gardens. We love it. Wifi didn’t work in any of over buildings. With our bigger family there a bigger coffee pot in the cabins would be nice. Nonetheless, we loved it.

Booked an over night for my husband and I, plans changed and I had to bring the kids. The front office was as sweet as can be. The glamping tents were awesome and clean, beds are comfortable! The girls and I had such a fun time exploring! If you're thinking about going, just do it! It's so worth it ♡

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the treehouse and it was the perfect getaway for the family. Kids were able to play and have a good time. The hot tub was a big hit. It was very peaceful and refreshing. The Gardens were also cool. The kids loved petting the bunnies and looking at the chickens.

Our 2 night stay was just not long enough....I didn't want to leave our cozy little cottage. The property is absolutely beautiful. Our cottage was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Even the sheets and towels were superb! The set up is perfect and the hike down the trails to the sandbags was very nice. We will definitely be back for a mini stay-cay again!

Coldwater Gardens is such a peaceful and calm getaway! We went midweek and enjoyed the beach along the river, swam in the river a bit, took in the beautiful views of sunset atop the stargazer platform and then went back to our glamping site to cook dinner over the campfire. After dinner, we walked the path over to some net swings and relaxed while having a cocktail and looking at the beautiful starlit night sky. The glamping tents had fans along with the perfect amount of bedding to keep us cool during the day and warm throughout the night. Parking right next to our site. The bathrooms and showers were a short walk along a lovely path and very convenient. Check in was smooth and quick and the staff very helpful in sharing all the amenities and how to get around the grounds. This was such a fun fantastic (and romantic) midweek escape!

We had our wedding at Coldwater Gardens and it was wonderful! The staff were so helpful and accommodating, with lots of communication. The property was the perfect backdrop for the eventful weekend. All our guests loved being able to explore the grounds, stay on-site, and especially loved the animals.

We booked a weekend stay in one of the cabins for our honeymoon. It was so relaxing , the cabin was tucked back in the woods that looked out onto a field so we got to see the sun set ! It had so many different things to do on site and was just all in all a great little place to get away and unplug! We loved floating down the river and just enjoying each other’s company.

If traditional, primitive camping isn’t at the top of your outdoor experiences, then glamping at Coldwater Gardens will change your mind! The property is secluded, but still close enough to drive into town if you need to pick up a few supplies. The tent is amazing. It was raining when we arrived and we were allowed to get into our tent prior to the 3:00 check in time. We took the best nap and fell asleep to the rain drops. It dipped down in temperature at night. They had two heated blankets in the tent we were able to use! There are two super duty floor fans. These would definitely be helpful for those warm and humid summer months. The beds are queen sized. The sheets feel luxurious. The mattress passed the test of comfort. If sleeping on a cot or in a sleeping bag on the ground is not appealing to you, then these beds will alleviate that issue. They maintain the bathhouse. It’s fresh smelling, clean and has two super duty door fans to keep air flow constant and move the humidity out from showers. The property and amenities are only available for guests. Explore the grounds. Play tether ball. Enjoy the greenhouses. Buy plants or the freshest veggies. Walk, drive, ride your bike or drive your golf cart to the sand bars. We found the south sand bar had the most beach to spread out and walk along. The river wasn’t at its highest level so I can’t comment on how it would be in the peak rain season.

We had one of the most peaceful stays ever at Coldwater Gardens! The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed strolling around the gardens, hiking along the creek and relaxing by a crackling fire. Nick was the perfect host and guide around the grounds. We will definitely return for a longer trip in the summer so we can explore more of trails and float down the creek.

Coldwater Gardens is always a pleasure to stay at. I have stayed in a glamping tent, the Stargazer platform, and most recently the Creekside platform. Only complaint is there were quite a few trees down over the trails. Especially to the North sandbar. And there is no signage as to where the upper sandbar access point is. But Over all it is a great visit and the water is beautiful and cold especially on the 90+ degree weather.

Such a beautiful and unique space! We had a cottage with an amazing view of the fields. Our kids loved running around the property as we enjoyed the fire pit. The cottage was clean and very cozy. The trails are perfect for any age. Loved seeing the animals and greenhouses as well. Super attentive and friendly staff! We’ll be back in the summer!

Tiny house has an electrical shortage so the lights will go off and on in the bathroom so use caution if shaving or anything. Very hard to reach employees by phone so trying to email with no internet service is hard. We experienced a wasp nest on site. And had a power outage the night of during these hot temperatures because of small storm, I recommend a battery operated fan or flash light incase of power outage there was nothing inside cabin incase of these events.

Coldwater Gardens was such an amazing place to get away and spend some time with the kiddos. The glamping tent was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed, and the grounds were wonderful. My kids LOVED exploring the bunny and chicken areas and I LOVED exploring the greenhouses and gardens. It was so nice to be able to let the kids wander while the adults relaxed :) Truly a special place to unwind and unplug. Thank you!

Our family of four along with two other families recently stayed in glamping tents at Coldwater Gardens and it was nothing short of amazing! The tents have everything you need. Beds are really comfortable and tents are immaculate. Grounds are gorgeous. Our kids had three days and two nights of no electronics and we just enjoyed nature, friends, good conversation, and food! We took a two hour kayak trip with a local company that was lovely. We had previously done similar in Helen, Georgia, however this was less crowded and so peaceful. The water was so clear! We also saw numerous turtles, a couple of turkeys and some other fun wildlife. The kids loved exploring on property at the coldwater creek too. The bunnies are precious and we wish we could purchase the hammock swings! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Nick and team for a wonderful mid-week Spring Break getaway! Coldwater Gardens is a real hidden gem.

This place deserves more than 5 stars .We had an amazing 5 nights in a beautiful cabin at Coldwater Gardens! The staff here definitely goes above & beyond to make you feel welcome. The cabin was so clean it was unbelievably spotless. You could literally eat off the floor ! It was very nice to have a nice washer and dryer in the cabin so I could keep up with the laundry while we were there rather go home and have a weeks worth of laundry to do ! The flowers are so beautiful and the chickens and rabbits are too cute ! We definitely will be back !

🫤 Hello Splash, I’m a local who frequents Splash often. However, I was very disappointed to find out they have changed their policy for any visitors over the four included in your stay. I 100% believe they should charge for guest visiting their family camping and enjoying the pool. I do not agree that...
