To start off I will say the waitress was alone tonight which we were fully prepared to wait as long as needed to get waited on. We arrived shortly after 630, we followed a couple in and both tables were seated. The waitress was overwhelmed as would anyone. Around 7 a third party had come in and immediately grabbed an order pad and wrote down their own order apparently and took it to the kitchen. The waitress then goes over and we over heard the lady say she used to work there. The waitress proceeded to serve them drinks and starter salads. At this point it was 7:10 and we hadn't even gotten our drinks nor ordered our food. The waitress then comes out with bread for the 3rd party that came in after the couple before us and us (both of which hadn't been waited on at all.) Then the 3rd party had the audacity to ask for garlic bread instead of regular bread to which the waitress then disappeared in the back once again. At that point we left. 45 mins total waiting not to even been given drinks when the table after us was almost already served dinner. My brother was home from the navy and that was supposed to be our last supper as a family for im sure a long long time. The amount of disrespect was unbelievable and can't say I'll ever return to this restaurant.

This place is adorable. The food is delicious, and the service is great. We stopped on the way home from a road trip, my mom wanted soup. We got the homemade wedding soup and I got the spinach gnocchi with vodka sauce. Everything was amazing, especially the garlic bread. We saved room for dessert by taking home most of our meals, and the limoncello mascarpone cake was a perfect ending, light and flavorful. If you have the chance to stop, don't miss this one. It's worth going out of your way for.

Portions are huge, the service was good and the BYOB is an amazing option, but only one of us loved our meal, the eggplant parmesan was fantastic, but the chicken penne with vodka sauce was just so-so, the main issue was the chicken was overcooked. That said, all in all, I'm sure we'll try it again.

The place looks really unassuming from the outside, but inside is beautiful. It's homey and inviting, all the staff helped us and made us smile and laugh throughout the experience. It seems they prefer you have a reservation but don't get upset if you don't as long as it's not busy. The food comes in large portions and is hot and fresh, very flavorful. Some things were slightly crispy and over cooked in the littlest bit, but nothing that would draw me from devouring it. Prices are moderate to expensive depending on much you can eat, but if you are coming here for a date, I would recommend you share and appetizer etc. I came with my girlfriend on Valentines day and ate until we almost exploded. All in all, the interior is much more than you'd expect from the exterior, don't judge a book by its cover. It's warmly lit with western European/Italian decoration and well cleaned and maintained. Staff is amazing and friendly (thank you Missy, who served us), and the food was all warm, fresh, and delicious!

Craving for authentic italian food took us here around Christmas time. The ambiance and the service were fantastic!! Our server helped us navigate the menu and was extremely welcoming. We ordered bruschetta, lasagna in vodka sauce, and tiramisu. Bruschetta was okay, but lasagna was delicious!! They had an amazing list of in-house cakes and our order of tiramisu was fantastic!! Even the portion size was pretty good. Overall, great experience and we are excited to visit soon!

This was my first visit but definitely not my last! Had an amazing waitress named Missy, who was actually excited that it was my first visit. She didn't rush me during my review of the menu & visited the table enough to be sure we didn't need anything but not too much to be an annoyance. The food was amazing - and huge portions! If you wish to enjoy a drink with your meal, be advised they are a BYOB establishment.

You want to know what Italian food is in Italy? This is the place. It's like your great grandmother and grandfather were cooking for you. Just amazing food and huge dishes of food. 5 star, A+...

Location: right in the middle of Altoona's Little Italy. Adjacent parking lot makes it easy. Staff: Outstanding. From the minute we walked in, we felt like part of the family. Service: There were a couple of times when our server didn't come by for longer than we hoped, but she was new and the place was very busy, so it's not a knock. Food: Very much a mixed bag. The arancini were outstanding. They just melted in your mouth. 5/5. The garlic bread was also delicious. Fresh out of the oven, so soft, crusty exterior, dren he'd in garlic, nothing not to like. But our entrees were just bad. We both ordered dishes with their vodka sauce. Honestly, it tasted like tomato soup. It was such a letdown after everything else. My dinner companion couldn't even eat theirs. I salvaged mine by adding the leftover garlic garlic butter from the bread and covering it with parmesan cheese. That said, I'd definitely go back and try a different entree.

The service was excellent. They had gluten pasta available, which not many places do. The large portions match the prices they charge you. But the food was lacking flavor, which is quite disappointing for the restaurants reputation. I had the penne vodka with chicken. The sauce was completely lacking flavor, even with adding some parmesan cheese on top. The chicken was also not seasoned. It was quite bland. Maybe, it was a rare occurrence. I have been here before and the food was good.

Always excellent food! Great service and cozy atmosphere. My favorite Italian restaurant anywhere. My last visit i had the Maryland blue crab ravioli which was fantastic! The Eggplant Parmesan is heaven. Enough for two people, the portions are huge!! The little parmesan garlic rolls they bring out everything is outstanding. Highly recommend a trip here, return trip or whatever!

We were going to a show at the Mishler Theatre and came here for dinner. Once we realized they had no bar - it was BYOB - we left. We really wanted a nice lemon drop martini. Now, the food we saw coming coming out of the kitchen looked great, and I did eat here before once a few years back - yes, food was REALLY good! But if you want a drink before dinner, nope, unless you bring your own. Atmosphere and location are just a little cheesy.

Fantastic service. Meal for two was $75. Should have been $30. Don’t recommend wedding soup if you are not a fan of an untraditional recipe. Waitress was extremely nice.

I think the food is very good, and I love the cozy atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. You also always have enough to take home and enjoy again! The bruschetta appetizer is DIVINE.

🫤 Went on a Saturday night around 11pm and the place was dead. Ordered cheese curds that were very small and not at all what cheese curds should be. Saw a mouse running across the ceiling rafters. Grossed me out to say the least. Service was good overall. Was nearby for a trip and don't ever plan visi...
