If you ever find yourself in Tyrone, I highly suggest eating at The Village Pantry! They have the best food in the area and the options are amazing! The buffet style is genius and The Village Pantry definitely filled a void in the area. My favorites are the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy. The fried chicken with chicken gravy is also fantastic. They also have great veggies. The green beans and corn are always tasty. It's also one of the only restaurants in the area the serve the Pennsylvania classic : " Pickled Eggs". The restaurant, bathroom and grocery store are always clean and orderly. The staff is always super nice. I've been here many, many times since they opened and I've always enjoyed my meal and shopping afterwards. Next time you're passing through, stop and check this place out!

This cafe/village pantry rocks! As soon as you walk in, the flavors wafting from the food bar beckons. Clean setting, excellent customer service, quality comfort food. The wings: buttery, meaty, crunchy, zesty. 🤤♥️

One of my favorite places to get groceries and home-cooked comfort foods. Great country store atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great products.

Very impressive store. I came for the buffet after being told about it. The food was really good. I found the meatloaf to have a little too much ketchup in it but it was very good regardless. Sadly I did not get to try the mac and cheese although it was being cooked and some folks were waiting for it so I believe that it must be fairly good to have a line. On the store end they have a nice verity of goods. I can't say much about this end as I did not spend much time looking around here. Although I would recommend checking this place out.

I love the village pantry. Their hot bar always has a good selection, their deli fresh slices the meat for your sandwiches and the prices are great. They even have flavored lemonade and coffee drinks that are good.

Love this place. Made to order sandwiches pair with homemade desserts and sides. The full buffet is huge and mouthwatering too. You can't go wrong here

The food is good Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, buffet style. Your plate of food is weighed, then charged by the pound. Prices are reasonable. Would go back again when in the area.

Party of 4 last evening, ( April 25 2023) 2 had the port ribs. They were not done, and very tough. It was mentioned to the staff, and someone came out( I assume a manger) and we were informed , that they were cooked property, and they were fine. I mentioned how tough they were, but he didn't say anymore , and just left. No offer to make it right. Now one of those, with the uncooked ribs, was a professional cook , who spent many years, working at Westminster Woods retirement home Huntingdon. We had also run into another couple whom one had gotten ribs. They were very tough also. 3 meals ruined, because of uncooked food, an a poor reponse ,from management. No offer of a substitute, and or apology. The rest of our food was fine, but the ribs, not being safe to eat, were thrown away. Have eaten here before , and was always satisfied. I am surprised, at the poor way, this was handled. Management, you should be ashamed.
