We had a great time. The only thing we didn't enjoy was a parent letting their kid destroy some of the art. I wanted to tell them to leave, but you have to go through all of the exhibits to exit. You shouldn't bring your kids to a place like this if you're not going to watch them. There is valuable art everywhere.

I love this exhibit! It's so fun and they have so many different installations! It's definitely worth the $30. There was plenty of parking on the street and it is free. Employees are super nice, they answered all our questions and helped us take photos and videos. This was a great experience!

Fun, chill activity whether you're with friends/family or alone. There's photo rooms and audio art as well. A lot of the art is interactive. A bit pricey though. There's a bar and lounge and gift store at the end. The gift store was a little small, but the lounge was fun. There's giant Uno, Jenga, and Connect 4. Along with a small selection of drinks, alcoholic or nonalcoholic. Great way to kill time and relax.

It's pricey for what you see. Definitely not $45 worth. Maybe $30. After parking (spothero, where WNDR says to use for best price), 3 people to go to museum and 1 parking spot came to $158. We bought our tickets online, you have to pick a time slot and have a 15min grace period. The parking garage is 5 minute walk from the museum, not bad at all. They did have few cool exhibits, thought it would have been more fun if moreinteractive. When you enter, you go one way, no turning around or going back to an exhibit after you moved forward to the next one. There's a gift shop at the end. Attached some videos/ photos

*** Each person has a different experience *** Don't expect too much, so you won't be disappointed like we were. I paid about $46 for 1 Adult and $35 for 1 Kid (include fee & tax). I don't think it was worth the amount I paid for it. It's a one-way museum, so make sure you explore and enjoy all the things before moving on to the next area. The museum is small, so I felt like it was a quick tour. Even though I tried to spend a lot of time exploring and enjoying it one by one, it still went through pretty quickly. They may change some of the themes/decorations so it does not look like some of the pictures on the review.

I bought the VIP experience, where you are able to go through the museum a second time. It's well worth it, because there were a couple of exhibits that I would like to experience a second time. There are a lot of really interesting exhibits here. I highly recommend stopping here. I do recommend buying your tickets ahead of time.

What a unique interactive experience. My mom was visiting from California. -1hr 20 minutes for us start to finish. We did take our time a little and took photo opportunities. You have to wait for people to take their photos at time. It’s a very Instagram friendly environment, if you know what I mean. -I did see young children, 3 y/o even. Family friendly -1 quiet room that had acoustic musicians playing. Sweet surprise. It is a tad pricy for the length of time you’re there, but I would recommend going! Some cool and trippy art.

An extremely unique, creative, and interactive experience! I loved all the exhibits and their gift shop will GET you good with unusual foods and items. My favorite room was the infinity room, so it is unfortunate you can only go in once and only for 60 seconds! My complaints would be that it is not as big as I expected (maybe only an hour) and then for the price it seemed a bit expensive relative to the time.

It's a beautiful and immersive time. My mine issue is the price. It'd be 5 stars if it were cheaper or some kind of multi person discount. A bit steep for the size of the museum. You also only get a limited amount of time in the final room, very limited (unless this has changed).

A good friend of mine was moving to NYC and he decided we needed to experience WNDR before he moved. I don't know why I was so surprised that he wanted to do this but I was. Also, I wanted to go. So we did. And it was cool!!! We took lots of goofy photos plus a couple of cool artsy ones and just giggled our way through the whole exhibit - it was like we had permission to be little kids again in our grown up bodies and we loved every minute of it!

One thing about visiting any Chicago activity spot...they want order! Went to the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) and it was going in one way and out another. It was the same with the Wonder Museum....in one way out the other. It's not a traditional Museum like if you were to visit an Art museum; but it was interesting just the same. It has many different interactive displays throughout with plenty of photo ops. One display you can text an emoji to change the light display. One room is mirrored with a floor that lights everywhere you step. You won't want to leave that spot! 2 restrooms available and at the end there is a Wisdom Wall were you can right something and hang it on the hook. Nice outing to do with family.

Exceptionally unique experience!!! The interactive art was everything!!! Yes, and thank you!!! My inner child reared her little head playing with some of the displays. The display that depicts mental health was very touching and really resonated close to home. The staff was very friendly. I even got a personalized poem from a true poet! A must see if nearby.

Interesting and fun kinesthetic experience. Quite interactive and dynamic. Staff is friendly and helpful. Organized and clean. I subtracted one star for the price. I paid 90 for two people. I subtracted another star because it’s way shorter than expected. We went slow and were over in 30m.

if you love taking pictures of yourself and others, this is the place! it’s a little pricey though and masks are required for entry. i wish that there had been more for the price we paid, but we had fun regardless.

We walked in not knowing what to expect except the photos from the website and our own imaginations. We paid for the VIP package which allowed us to skip the line, which wasn't long at all. Definitely didn't need to pay the extra 12 dollars per person. As for the museum and exhibits, it was a mixed bag. Some were super cool, exciting, and interactive. Others were....meh. Overall, a very different and WNDRful experience for our family!

Wonderful experience! I went with a few friends, and we were debating between this and the dinosaur museum-- I'm delighted that we end up coming to WNDR. The workers were very patient and kind with explaining how some of the exhibits worked. Everything in here was meant to be followed in a sequential manner and I think that's what I love most about it. It wasn't chaotic as I prepared it would be, because we just had to follow wherever the arrow was guiding us to. I had a blast coming here for the holidays!

Great experience! We've been wanting to visit the WNDR Museum for a while, but thought it was a bit too pricey. We came across a day that's free and went with a few friends. Yet, as much as we enjoyed the interactive art exhibits, we don't think we will go back again.

Most amazing place to come for a fun day. During my trip to Chicago, I really enjoyed coming here with my friends, and really took some amazing pictures. Not only that, but it is so cool to go around and literally be a kid again with all the fun spots they have. Tickets were kind of expensive, but I could say it is kind of worth it. Especially if you are coming with your friends to hang out!

I would agree with the posts where this is a very unique and cool art exhibit but definitely has photo op vibes. Tickets are expensive for the experience. Took us under an hour to go through. Definitely check out the bathrooms half way through! I wouldn’t come to the city for this only so plan a day or lunch around it as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of museums or art displays but I genuinely enjoyed this one. It's very creative to say the least. You never really know what the next display is going to be like and I really liked that. Would definitely recommend if you're in chicago anytime soon.

There are a lot of nice illusions and colors! Must visit if you’re in Chicago! The mirrors were good but they allowed us to spend only one minute inside even when it was not crowded and nobody waiting.

I've been wanting to visit this museum for a decade! It's very much worth the Wait! Purchased the VIP Experience and got some goodies at the end in the gift shop! I enjoyed it so much that I went a second time and as expected, it's funner with friends and family!

The staff was so friendly. They danced with me, they made me smile, they were what made the experience 1000000% enjoyable. I went alone and everyone made me feel so welcomed, there were so many other friendly guests too. Made me love Chicago even more ❤️ the art is beautiful, the vibes were immaculate.

Went here for the “Ultimate Pizza Party” event and it was well worth it! Museum has a lot of interactive art pieces and it’s really a fun time! Being that it was an event, the actual party was very nice (and yes they actually had pizza!) Very relaxing environment and definitely recommend!

Be sure to bring your camera and take your time. You have to stay on the path and move forward. Fun thing to do for all ages. My group was all adults and we all enjoyed. We took about one hour to walk through. Be sure to press the red button on the bathroom wall that says “Do not press red button.” I wonder what will happen…

My husband planned a trip to WNDR museum for my birthday and I loved it. We took our kids and they were in love with the beautiful exhibits. Love how interactive the exhibits are and the staff are helpful and friendly. Although my kids had a great time, I would have loved to have been there as an adult trip so I could have enjoyed the exhibits more fully. Bonus: we got a free sticker for doing a survey at the end that is going to look great on my water bottle. Make sure to reserve ahead so you don’t have to wait too long outside. We had no wait but we walked past some people that did.

WNDR is a fun place, but it’s pretty small. The exhibits are fun, beautiful, and unique. There is a Yayoi Kusama Infinity Room here that is worth seeing (but it’s not my favorite one, which is in Arkansas). I think we were through WNDR in a hour or less, which was disappointing for the cost of admission. Still, worth a visit.

Really cool museum with a ton of cool light, motion, and technology-based art displays. Excellent place to take pictures, and selfies. There are QR codes around the museum which unlock AR filters on Instagram. Tickets are quite expensive, which allows capacity to stay low, so you get a more individual experience than many other museums. This is necessary as a lot of art pieces are best (or even, meant to be) experienced alone - or just with your party.

What a fun place. I'm not sure how we missed this place on our trip planning but it was a great surprise to have stumbled across it. This is an experience similar to the ice cream museum and the color museum, but has its own twists and spins around every corner. Plan to be here a while. Must Stop

Cool place! A bit short for the money, but it's unique and it's the city so it is what it is. The exhibits range from really fun and engaging to others that are barely worth the time it takes to read the description. Overall a good experience but probably not worth a second visit. Good place to get out of the weather.

Plan for about an hour to go thru everything. Depends on how long you decide to enjoy and linger. Definitely worth it for couples or families too. Well worth the trip! Pretty cool out of the norm exhibits that need yoir participation for the full effect.

Great fun! A bit pricey for a couple but not awful. Really enjoyed our time and seeing others enjoy it as well. Would absolutely suggest others go and get some great photos and good times. Does not take too long, so it's a good activity on a day with other things to do.

Okay, I seriously had so much fun here! It's like an interactive art museum that brings the inner children out of adults! I believe the exhibits change every once in awhile so I am excited to come back the next time I'm in Chicago! Definitely take your time walking through because you can't go backward once you make your way through an exhibit.

Very exciting place, lots of amazing exibits. Very different and affordable. Got lucky with free parking out front. The best is the last exibit called the infinity room, but by request of the artist you only get one minute in the room definitely not enough time to enjoy.

Holy wah! How fun! Great idea for a night out with friends, a date, by yourself. Mask is required though you can briefly take it off for photos. There are a set limitation of guests so it's never overcrowded. Even the bathroom has an activity! Very cool experience and totally worth it just for Kusama's installation. I wish I had taken more time in each space, I think we made it out in 40 minutes or so. So don't worry about the groups I guess just breathe, let go, and enjoy. If you are able maybe do it twice - once for the gram and once for yourself. 😉

It was an amazing experience. I suggest going early though. me and my girlfriend were rushed out.we we're at the end at the gift shop they had and the moment we started to look at the items(not necessarily cheap items at that) and we were told we had only one minute (note:they close at 9 and it was 8:45)to look which was pretty discouraging since I kinda wanted a souvenir and there were other people way further behind than us. but the experience of the art made it worth while.

If you wanna have quick fun I would definitely recommend this place! Its very interactive and is quite fun and you can take very cute photos! Downside is definitely the price and how long it takes to get through the museum but yknow ! I came for my birthday with my partner and my siblings and we all enjoyed it anyways! We were able to come earlier than our reservation bc it was a slow day ! Come if you have a like a half hour to spare!

My second adventure into the WNDR Museum and by far I could easily pay the price of admission just for the room where through sound and light, you become your own musically inclined beat maker lol. However the room where each step interacts with the floor causing lights to erupt, would definitely be my second favorite, and visited room. While there are so many different interactive exhibits to explore, many other photo opportunities to make memories with, to explain any further would ruin the surprises and excitement you can only experience by going.

Very nice and colorful place.I had a large party. Everyone felt like it was a waste of money unless you're a big social media person or entertainer or influencer trying to get great photos for the internet. Something fun for teenagers, young adults, and an artistic crowd!!!

  • 4/5 Joanie A. 6 months ago on Google
The museum was fun and only took about an hour. You definitely don't need more time than that to go through. Don't miss the bathrooms towards the end. That was my favorite part of the whole museum and it's easy to miss.

I went here to kill time. I honestly ended up enjoying myself. I did get the VIP pack, or whatever it's called, so I was able to go through twice. That allowed me to go around the people doing full-blown photo shoots. It was fun getting submerged into the various exhibits.

A fun interactive art exhibit. It's a little pricey for what you get, but I think it's a fun enough experience that you won't really mind. Definitely go with at least one other person, as some of the experiences really venefit from having a friend to exchange or compare reactions with. The place felt clean despite all the foot traffic and people touching things. The staff are really friendly and helpful. My experience did not feel rushed at all as no one had told me I had spent too much time in one thing. Saturday afternoon was not very busy. There was only about one or two other people in any exhibit with me.

  • 5/5 Lee N. 2 years ago on Google
Very interactive and fun new museum offering - in a town filled with lots of competition in this category! A bit pricey, but we definitely weren't disappointed. The exhibits feel very modern, but still very accessible / relatable. Don't worry, even if you love vowels more than consonants, you'll experience plenty of "WoNDeR" on your visit here. 😁 Take your time with each stop along the way, as you're on a one-way path throughout. Knowing that ahead of time helps you engage with each exhibit and try to get the most out of it. Lots of selfie / picture worthy moments will be found. Plan on approx. 60 - 90 min. for your time here. (And if you're not taking public transit, plan ahead for even more time if you're trying to find nearby available parking.)

Make sure you plan parking ahead of time. There are several tow away zones in the area. It's short and sweet. Take your time at the exhibits to get your money's worth. I would not recommend bringing a small child here unless you plan to carry them to each exhibit. Some have very strict rules on what you can and can't do in the exhibit. Some are interactive, some you can't touch at all. The infinity room has a timed entry of one minute due to its popularity. The gift shop has some pretty need finds but they are a little pricey considering a lot of it is from the artists in the exhibits. There's also the usual gift shop items like buttons, post cards, and t shirts.

  • 5/5 Cissy S. 8 months ago on Google
This exhibit was absolutely amazing. Although we bought timed tickets we got in around 30 minutes after as we were told they were running behind. After we got in each exhibit had their own interactive activity and they also had a bar. There was lots of people because it was Saturday and some staff was rude. Which kind of bummed the experience after such a good time.

  • 5/5 Thomas V. 8 months ago on Google
We had such a good time here. Staff where friendly and fast. Entrance fee was a little expensive. Great interactive spaces! Perfect for a group night or a date. Will be going again. The artists that contributed to this are AMAZING to say the least.

Fun and thought-provoking interactive art installations. You'll spend more time than you expect! Great for kids if they're well supervised. Some spaces may feel enclosed, a few aren't completely wheel-accessible. Light-based installations may strobe - be aware if you're sensitive. Will be going again!

  • 4/5 Ryan K. 10 months ago on Google
This is a pretty cool place. They have a few interesting exhibits. Overall, I think it was a bit smaller than I was expecting. Definitely don't rush through; make sure to take time at each exhibit. I think the ticket price is pretty fair for the experience. It's a fun way to spend an hour or two if you're looking for something to do, and there are a lot of other things to do in the area.

  • 5/5 Diego H. 11 months ago on Google
This interactive museum experience made me feel like a kid again! I went in not knowing what to expect but had a lot of fun throughout. The entire experience takes about an hour to walk through depending on how long you spend at each exhibit. Definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 Petra F. 9 months ago on Google
This place was so amazing. The installations were all so beautiful and the interactive ones were so much fun! They explain to you in the beginning what is interactive and what is not. Pay attention to the ropes in front of the non-interactive installations. One group didn't listen and ended up knocking over a peice of an installation. They lied saying they didn't touch anything, but my group saw they did touch it. Luckily, nothing was broken. A security guard later overheard us speaking about it. He said if the art was broken, it would've cost over $2,000 in damages. Please listen to their instructions and pay attention.

  • 3/5 Jae 9 months ago on Google
Smaller than I expected and a bit expensive for the experience. Loved all the interactive installations although felt I couldn’t thoroughly enjoy as many people were waiting behind us (would def recommend to opt for private event). Walked through the entire museum fairly quickly. Great place if you’re looking to take pictures for your social media!

I celebrated my birthday here about 4 years ago. It was amazing at that time. So many rooms and so many things to see. They even had lockers to leave your things In. I decided to take my sisters for their birthday this year and I was so disappointed. I don’t know why so many things were taken out. The creative team sucks if they think that this museum is worth the money they are charging. I took my family and it was $300 for just 7 of us. I was okay paying that if it was anything like my experience 4 years ago. But this was horrible. The rooms were basic, they kept some of the same things as before and that’s the only thing that made the experience ok. I’m deeply disappointed in WNDR… I would not recommend this to anyone. It’s not worth your time or money. It gets worse, when I went online to get tickets for this it said they were doing a winter wonder theme till Jan 15. We decided to go Jan 14th so that we can experience that, I didn’t mind pay the extra $$$ since it’s a theme that was going to end soon. We all get there and there is no winter wonder them. There was absolutely nothing related to winter. They also have a bar and lounge and I didn’t see anyone up there. I think that space can be used way better than for a bar and lounge. I would also bring back the lockers, so many people had to keep placing their bags and jackets on the floor as they took pictures. I saw a lot of moms struggling to hold their things and their kids things because they had to carry everything. For how expensive it is to visit here… there should be so much more. This is truly ridiculous. Sad. I’m sure a lot of you can see some of the pictures that others are sharing here of how the museum looks now, while some rooms are still nice, let me share with you what WNDR used to be and how magical it was at one point.
