This is a great choice if you’re visiting from out of town. I was reluctant to book because of the quality I’ve experienced at other Choice hotels, but this one was different. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town again.

We have stayed at this location since it opened. The hotel is comfortable and easily accessible for visiting our family in the local area. Donna and Janelle are always so accommodating and helpful during our visits. Couches and chairs in the rooms should be replaced, as they are worn out. Looking forward to our next stay!

A great hotel for families, or after a long drive such as we had. The hotel is right off the expressway and is an exit or two before the city of Altoona. They have snacks available and free breakfast each morning. This is a pet friendly hotel as well. We were greeted by a friendly hotel associate who let us know where everything is in the room, as well as at the hotel. The next morning, we had a great breakfast -above the standard Choice hotel menu. We had scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, and ham. Packaged snacks and fruit were also available to take for the trip ahead. The view that greeted us in the morning made the trip that much better.

Everything is just perfect: staff, rooms are well maintained and clean, a pool with hot water, breakfast, parking, pets friendly hotel (we traveled with 3 dogs). Strongly recommend! Thank you for perfect stay!

I am absolutely disgusted with this place. Rude girl at check in. Freezing room in the middle of winter. Busted light switch (photo). Curtains that don't close all the way. And, the cherry on top, someone shouting repeatedly at 10:30 at night!! I'm currently trying to fall asleep but can't because I feel so unbelievably unsafe in this hotel. Morning cannot come soon enough. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The elevator did not work. They charged me $187 for a second room when one room could accommodate my whole party. No pool towels. Breakfast wasn't very good. Pool light was knocked off the pool inner wall by kids playing roughly. The pool was very dangerous for a beginner swimmer. The rope was not up between the 4 and 5 foot I didn't realize the floor dropped off and I went under. Thank God that my kids were able to grab me and pull me up to save me from drowning.

It was late when we got there and the night auditor already got our keys ready. Breakfast foods were excellent. The swimming pool is also pretty good. My only complaint was the light outside keeps flickering and it was bothering me during my sleep since I like pitch black when sleeping. I wish I should have told them to fix it but forgot it. Overall it was a good stay.

My family and I stay here every year for the past few years when we come to Altoona for our family reunion and the staff is always very accommodating. This was the most crowded the hotel has been due to another reunion party as well as a wedding party but the staff seemed to handle things pretty well. We had a little surprise party for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary in the party/conference room and the staff was awesome in helping with the surprise aspect. My only negative is that the towel racks in the showers could use some Barkeeper's friend because they are very rusty. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Staying for work. Room was clean. Shower was hot. The beds were comfy and the sheets/covers were warm. The AC works great.

Clean, comfortable beds and quiet. Staff was friendly, breakfast was the typical free stuff you get at most budget hotels. Out of the way for restaurants, most seemed to be about a nine mile drive away.

Stayed here when all State College hotels were booked or required a 2-night minimum (you can guess the reason). We were pleasantly surprised! Noon checkout was nice, the property/rooms were clean, and breakfast is included. Don't hesitate, just book it.

I enjoyed the Comfort Suites Altoona, PA. The room and pool were nice. However, the business center didn't work and the siding in the pool was coming off. I finally got Tammy, the manager, to help me print some Christmas Letters I was trying to no avail to print. She deserves a raise. Overall, the hotel is nice and the breakfast was marvelous.

Easy to get to, rooms are spacious. Don't count on housekeeping, even if you ask for it. Breakfast was good, several choices. Friendly staff.
