My grandpa started bringing me here when I was very young, and it’s became a yearly tradition ever since. We stay at a campground within walking distance with our relatives which makes everything even better. The Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers show holds so many memories. Over the 3 day weekend at this show, you’ll be able to explore stationary engines, old sawmills, antique convenience stores, kids birdhouse and rope building stations, small trains to ride, tractor parades, great food, and so much more! As boring as this may sound, it’s actually fun and kid friendly. And when you’re in the area, you can drive a few miles to the Mississippi Headwaters. It all works out to create a fun weekend. I highly recommend coming here for the day or camping out for the weekend.

The Lake Itasca Family Music Festival is here every year, and it's fantastic! The facilities work out well for the cooking, workshops, and shows that happen all weekend. It's fun that even during the bluegrass festival, you get to see some of the old equipment and photographs in the buildings. Very nice place, though Google maps always sends people to a nearly-unused side entrance instead of the main one.

Spent a solid 3 hours walking around here, just take the saw mill trail from Itasca state park and walk a little further and there is a huge variety of old trucks and equipment. Especially impressed with the old chain driven excavator and lots of 60"s era trucks with straight 6 engines. Very cool place if you like looking at old machinery.

Overwhelming amount of everything to see. We love the variety of antique items that are demonstrated and on display. The kids love the train rides, the old fashioned store and buildings and being able to make the crafts. And it is all included. Great family tradition. The fresh homemade lefse is always a treat too

We have a great time every year at this event. Especially on Saw Mill Hill and the Kidz Place where there are crafts for kids to do for free or donation.
