DON'T BOOK!!! After traveling inda for three months I can comfortably say this is the worst place I stayed at... The staff and manager are extremely rude... I wanted to take an evening walk before bed as I always do and they won't let me out! I WAS LOCKED IN!!! This made me feel very unsafe. On top af that I had to pay 25r for a bottle of water.. something that definitely should be included in the room

Unbelievable, healthy, and organic breakfast at BBB. This came highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint. So worth traversing the alleys of Varanasi. This meal happened to come out to only $6 as well!!

My husband and I found this place through searching for hood western/continental food. As there were rather fairly good reviews, we decided to check it out. The place is unassuming but the food was delicious. We ordered non spicy palak paneer, salad and vegetarian lasagna. Everything including the bread were prepared and served nicely. The main person up at the roof top (Sorry forgot his name now - Sr Moment:-) was also very attentive and accommodating. There is also a nice view of the river which we enjoyed. But I suggest that the mattress seats and cushions best to be washed or changed, as they were not very inviting ! So too the small tables needed paint maybe? Overall however, we enjoyed the food very much. And the idea that the owners are also running charity for children and women made us even feel better to dine there.

At the time of breakfast we reached there. Simple dishes are available. More oriented towards the taste of foreigners. They will love it as the taste will suite them. But for Indian nothing special. Ordered one chicken sandwich. Fried chicken was stuffed between breads. Personally I didn't enjoy much. Hope they will add some spices.

The roof terrace is a great place to chill out. You meet lots of like-minded travellers. The staff are very friendly and the food isn't bad either. (Very nice cake 😋)

This place is a hidden gem in Varanasi. The ambiance of roof top resturant is really good. Great for hangouts with friends. Definitely Try Smoked Ham platter and Cheese platter. They also have VEGAN options. In cheese platter, ask what are the available cheese at that time. Try different variety of cheese. Their breakfast and brunch are special. The behavior of the staffs are really good. Their, gingerbread cookies, cakes are also good.

Awesome ambiance, awesome food, the only thing average were the beverages! The staff was so humble and helpful. A beautiful place to spend the evening watching sunset!

The hosts make this place. I can't compare to others as we only stayed here but In every means possible, I was looked after whether by arranging taxis, EXCEPTIONAL food (Locals love it too + the bread is to die for), a lift to the opticians when my glasses broke or general happiness. These guys and gals care genuinely about your time and they have a great ethos about their brand and work - by eating/staying here you are helping support their communities through education. God bless brown bread bakery!!

Absolutely disgusting food and behavior from the (not so) gentlemen at the counter. Ordered "Wood Fired Pizza". After an hour of waiting, was served a tasteless, cardboard like stuff...Obviously some sort of topping on a chappathi. When questioned about the pizza dough they use, amusing answer I got from the owner was that he never eats from this place and this is what he serves...If u can eat it if u want!

Food is really tasty! The morning walking tour was super interesting, we learned about the city and traditions on the river side.

They have great breakfast and food in general. But their rooftop terrace is my most favorite place here. If you want to escape the chaos of the city and looking for a quiet relaxing place, it's definitely the place to go

Great place to have food in Varanasi. The people who are taking care of the place are so helpful and nice to the clients. Once you arrive you feel the warmth of their personality. The menu is fully in English and they have a lot of variations on it. I ate pizza and the taste of it was extraordinary. I'd recommend this place to everyone in Varanasi.

An excellent bakery located within the historical lanes of Varanasi, making it a little difficult to find but at the same time allows one to experience the old vibes of the holy city due to its approach through the narrow winding lanes. The lane just opposite to "Bangali Tola" leads directly to the bakery, which is about 10 minutes from there on foot. The food items there are fresh and delicious and definitely worth a try. Kindly note that this is not a hotel as mentioned in Google but a bakery shop with a sitting area with tables.

Kind and helpful staff and great location. We were there for some meals in a morning and evening. The breakfast could have been better but dinner was quite good - especially with the live music. The paper-survey was also bit too much every time for me. Thanks for the experience!

We sat down for a short lunch stop here. Took a small bite and coffee with some friends. The cakes served were just as good as any other place and coffee was perfect. Prices varied a bit between options but overall low priced.

You must visit here! Lovely atmosphere with all the profits going towards children’s education. We had the day’s special - spaghetti past - which was delicious. The complementary bread was lovely as well!

The Guest House is a pleasant place, the best of which is the workers, with great kindness, professionalism and they have helped us in everything we have needed. We have been in a room for two without AC for 10 days, with a shared bathroom. The correct room, with a fan that is appreciated for the heat. From time to time you can find a rat running around, but hey, this India and Varanasi. The food, if you feel like disconnecting from Indian food, is one of the best places to find Western food. In addition, the profits obtained from the restaurant and the guesthouse go to a nearby school, where they care for and feed 170 children.

Lovely and unexpected bakery! Their baked goods are very nice. Prices are very good for what they offer. And they even have options for the low-budget traveler. For vegetarians and vegans, this is your hotspot. Bonuspoint: every night there is live indian music on the rooftop. It’s too good!

Absolute favorite café here in Varanasi. The breakfast buffet has a great selection and the bread is very, very tasty. The other pastries are also very tasty. There were even Christmas cookies during Christmas time! The staff is very friendly. Profit from the café go to a social project. An absolute recommendation! Thank you for this great Café

A cozy place in a small street of Varanasi. Breakfast was ok. My friends gave a chance to pizzas. They were yummy. Prices are ok, service was on time. Opens 07:00 AM so maybe the only place you can drink a coffee (filter) early morning. Suggested...

Really nice place. Food is amazing. Room is comfy and has always hot water. Rooftop live music. We really enjoyed the boat+walking tour at sunrise, the guide was friendly and explained lots of things.

Friendly staff, wonderful bakery, music every night: you can’t ask for much more. We ate here near daily for at least one meal during our stay in Varanasi. It’s cozy and the food is comforting. There is traditional music upstairs every night. They also offer boat tours and accommodation at modest prices although we didn’t use those services. Be sure to visit!

I went there more than once during my stay in Varanasi, and I did not try anything really special there (not even the bread is really good). I took a caprese salad with a lot of tomato and just fell cheeses (not mozzarella). The bread in the table was not fresh. The service was excellent. Everyone was kind, and I didn't have to wait for a long time to have the food. They have a nice rooftop with live music during the weekends.

Not really worth the hype! Their cinnamon roll was a 5, the cheesecake 2, hot chocolate and mocha 6 and 3 respectively. The service wasn't great and the food was really cold. However, the place is small and cute with a homely Indian decor.

I love everything here. I like sitting and enjoying either a drink (juices are amazing) or food (food is delicious!!). The staff is super friendly also. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful place, supports a good cause and the food was fantastic. Extra treats were provided whilst we waited for our food and it didn't disappoint. Delicious and healthy. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Safe location

This staff are really nice and humble. The food is prepared in orders so it's fresh n tasty ...yes a bit costly. Rooms are neat and clean. The best part is rooftop.

I highly recommend this place for its organic & fresh produce, cozy atmosphere (conducive to encounters), and commitment to help those in need (part of the profits are donated to the education of poor children and to help empower women)! 🍰 I I tried the lemon pie: tasty and light, exactly what is expected from this kind of lemon pie! The hot chocolate is disappointing though: it is almost tasteless; maybe there wasn't enough chocolate and too much milk? 💁🏽‍♂️💁🏽‍♀️ The personnel is reactive and smiley. 🫰 The price is right for high-quality, fresh, and organic produce. Moreover for a place helping its community.

Great food, the bread is delicious 🤤 They also organise tours and profits go to charity! Good vibes. Don’t go here if you are in a hurry, we waited 1 hour for breakfast

What a great find! We arrived late into Varanasi after a delayed train in a rather flustered state with nowhere to stay, we came across Brown Bread and was greeted by Golu who was very welcoming and reassuring, all was going to be okay! We woke up to a lovely breakfast with delicious fresh bread. Having planned to stay just one night we ended up staying for 4! Chandu and the team were all really friendly and created a great atmosphere, with yummy food by Ravi. We especially loved sitting on the roof as the sun set watching the kites flying from the adjacent rooftops.

Great place right in the heart of Varanasi. It is only a short walk from the Ganges river. Manager Chandu was really nice, helpful and always took time to answer all of our questions. He assisted us with laundry, morning boat rides and purchasing train tickets. Really good in house restaurant as well - one of the few places in town that has clearly marked VEGAN options. Warning if you arrive by cab: Cars / Took Tooks can not get closer than a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel.

This vegetarian lasagna changed my perception of life, this place is fore sure a must to stop place if you ever visit Varanasi. 10/10. Chandu is the best waitress ever, makes you feel like you were at home.

Good food (both Indian and westerner), good prices and very friendly staff. We found the palak paneer to be the best we have tried. They also arrange boat rides.

Food was delicious! Best homemade bread we've had in 9 months of traveling in Asia. Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The food we recommend are: banana chocolate pancake and the salty pancake with mushrooms, onions, tomato and garlic.

I had Margarita pizza there and the taste blew my mind. The cheese was so delicious that I can safely say that it was one of the best cheese I've ever had in India. Their breads are also worth trying. You must go there while visiting Varanasi
