How blinded can people be, they can't see things in plain sight too. Just read the plaque at panchaga ganaga ghat before going gaga about this mosque. So many hindus are full of praise for this mosque. Some are saying it's demonstration of hindu muslim unity as it is just beside temples. Some are saying that hindus gifted land to Aurangzeb to built mosque. Some are saying its a must visit place in Varanasi. I would say its a big evident blot in beauty of Varanasi, why so, is it because I'm prejudice against Mugals, could be. But if the same hindu would have dared to read the information plaque place at panchaga ghat they would have seen the reality. In place of Mosque there was a prominent temple of Vishnu ji named Bindumadhav and yours friendly Aurangzeb ordered to demolish it just like kashi vishwanath and build a mosque on top of it. Panchganga ghat was previously know as Bindumadhav ghat but after Aurangzeb gift, it was renamed to Panchganga. These details I shared are still present in public still people can't see it, then how we will be able to figure out so many more historical fact which has been completely erased from all books.

This mosque is unique in thet fact that it's situated on the banks of the Ganges. It's rustic look and gigantic domes stands out against all the contemporary architectures developed around it. As per history this mosque is built by Aurangzeb. This mosque is situated where once there was a temple. This mosque retained many influences as can be seen in its architecture and art.

Located near the Panchaganga Ghat. This 350+ year old mosque is rustic and beautiful. The caretaker was very friendly. I’m glad that ladies are allowed to pray inside. However, the front doors were locked when we got there and fortunately a couple of locals helped us to get the gatekeeper’s attention to get inside.

Originally a temple destroyed by tyrant Aurangzeb. Local still call it Benu Madav ka Deora. Lots of Hindu temple signs are still visible.

It is a must visit place of Varanasi. The fact that it is situated on the banks of the River ganga makes it more beautiful. When we went there, we saw a hindu caretaker taking care of this masjid, and it was such a good sight. This shows that brotherhood and empathy still exists in our society. This is the beauty of Banaras, this is the beauty of India.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Hindu temple, built by Beni Madhur Rao Scindia, a Maratha chieftain, was demolished when the emperor Aurangzeb had captured Banaras and razed the temple. Aurangzeb then built a mosque over the ruins of the temple in 1669 and named it as Alamagir Mosque in the name of his own honorific title "Alamgir", which he had adopted after becoming the emperor of the Mughal empire.Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the mosque. It's an ancient mosque built by Aurangzeb, after he captured Varanasi. The terrace comes with an excellent view of the ghats of Varanasi. The entry is free, but the caretakers will ask for a small donation from the guest before entering which goes straight into the donation box. The caretakers were very friendly & humble people who eagerly answered my queries and gave me a brief historic explanation about this heritage site upon asking. Do visit this place if you like history.

The sight of Hindus giving 5 star reviews to this usurped place is testimony that Hindus are nothing but brainwashed zombies with zero sense of history. It was built upon the demolished temple of Bindu Madhav, which was as prominent a place as Vishwanath temple. This needs to be on the reclamation list of Hindu Civilization

Qlamgir Masjid also known as Aurangzeb's Mosque is not to be missed, just above the panchganga ghat. It's a blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture. Two of it's minarets are broken..but still holds it's mesmerizing beauty.

This "structure" was built by invader aurangzeb after he forcefully demolished the great vishnu temple called Bindu Madhav Mandir , this mosque is closed by goverment now after 2014 and no namaz or Azan is now done in this mosque . This should be given back to hindus to rebuild their grand Vishnu temple

This is very beautiful and relaxing place. I really like this place. It is licated at near panchganga ghat. I recommend if you want to visit this place so visit at sunset or sunrise time because it is best place for this, beautiful view point in varanasi. No any entry charges are needed for this place. You also click photos and videos. For reaching out this place there is two way one is by ghat and second is by road. By ghat is shot and easy but lots of stairs are there so if you don't go by stairs so you needs to second road which is located near by kaal bhairo temple. One more advise when you visit this mosque just side of this mosque one most important temple is there, bindu madhav temple. You also needs to vistit that one also.

If you look around, you can find a face of God in each thing, because He is not hidden in a church, in a mosque, or a synagogue, but everywhere. As there is no one who lives after seeing him, there is also no one dying after seeing him. Who finds Him, stays forever with him.

It is a beautiful old mosque at the banks of the Ganga (Panchganga Ghar). Tourists regardless of religion are welcome here. Narrow lanes lead to the mosque but it is worth the walk . Come and meet Anil kumar a local guide he will share his knowledge of history.

This splendid monument is maybe the most beautiful on the shore of the Ganga in Varanasi. According to Hindu militants, it was built on the site of an old Hindu temple (this kind of legends are told about a lot of other mosques), but the evidence is not entirely convincing and the sources are not really serious. According to others, the property was given to the mughal emperor Aurangzeb by a Hindu family after their daughter was protected by him against people with bad intentions. Anyways this majestic mosque adds a special character to the banks of the Ganges, most of whose buildings are quite banal. The view you see there is amazing. It is a must visit in Varanasi.

The mosque can be reached by boat from any ghat of Varanasi and of course by walking. Panchganga ghat is the nearest of this historic building. It is situated just beside the revered sri Bindu Madhav temple. It is mostly a quiet place where we received a warm welcome from the caretaker. Lovely view from top.

This mosque is also known as “Beni Madha Ka Darera” and “Aurangzeb’s Mosque” from the fact that Emperor Aurangzeb built it. It has 2 minarets and 3 domes that gives its structure a distinguishable and magnificent outlook. But a tragedy in 1948 demolished a few portions of the mosque, which is now being guarded and preserved by our government. A perfect amalgamation of evening sunset near the giant mosque and the water gushing out from the fountains in the garden, one can absorb the best of nature at this site.

The view of the river was nice from this site. The mosque was locked when we arrived, but our guide asked for staff to open it. Ladies can enter without any head scarf, which was nice. (Translated by Google) In sort There was no news #Aurangzeb_alamgir with the fact that the head of the Vajir made by me is in the cloud of rain on the land of Benares Wazir gave orders to his Sudamo to present the most beautiful girl in my state. Finding that it is Shakuntala Devi, the daughter of Lalaram, a Pandit from Banaras. The wazir said to the Pandit that it is in salutations, leave the daughter in a doli from her house or else I will pick up the daughter from home. Pandit was shocked and returned home and narrated the whole incident to the daughter. The daughter said take a month's leave from Abba Wazir. Wazir gave a month's extension. Shakuntala Devi went and narrated the entire sentence to Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir. Do not grief after returning from your Baba, I am sure that on the emperor whose prophet brought mercy to the world, how can a slave of that prophet see injustice done to daughters. When a month's time is over, happiness is being celebrated in Wazir's palace, there is a feeling of grief in Pandit Lala Ram's house. As soon as Shakuntala Devi reaches the palace in Doli, then Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir appears in the guise of Fakir. Seeing Wazir's oppression with his own eyes called him a master of punishment. The wazir was ripped like this by tying his hands with an elephant and tying his feet with another. Farumaya Aurangzeb, daughter, since you brought a complaint to me, I have not drank even a sip of water since I have a lot of oppression and I do not like it. This sentence is very similar, but I have written it in short. Inshallah, if I get a chance, I will write the whole. Whose example will not be able to give even the world. He likes justice, the emperor Mohiddin Aurangzeb Alamgir.
