The Ghat is named after Goswami Tulsidas who lived there while he composed the Ramcharitmanas. Previously known as 'Lolark' the Ghat was cemented in 1941 and renamed Tulsi Ghat. Many of Tulsidas' relics - wooden clogs, pillow, an idol of Lord Hanuman that he worshipped - are preserved at the Tulsi Ghat. The house in which he passed away remains intact. Tulsi Ghat is associated with several important activities such as the Lolark Sasthi at the Lolark kund. The festival falls on the 6th day of the bright half of Bhadrapad. During the Hindu lunar month of Kartika (October/November), the Krishnalila, is staged here with great fanfare and devotion.

This ghat is touch with Assi Ghat. Here you can enjoy the Ganga view with lemon tea. At this ghat more water at the embankment of river so not good for bathing to those who don't know how to swim

Tulsi Ghat named after the great poet Tulsidas (1547-1622 A.D.) who wrote Ramcharitmanas, a translation of the Sanskrit epic Ramayana. Tulsidas established a monastery, Hanuman temple and Askaha immediately above the ghat. Originally the ghat was known as Lolark Ghat, named after Lolark Kund that still exists today a short distance away.

I have visited there on 12 June so on that day G20 was going on at Dashwamesh ghat. But really the arti was good enough for all your day end. Just eat some local food. And take boat ride which costs Rs 100. But for me it was a life time experience as there was a lot of decoration was there due to G20. And clean ganga. A offcourse the fire show... Amazing. All over diyas are burned. And firecracker show was amazing. I think that my trip to that place was successful . Thanks to Mahadev for such pleasant trip. I will not forget that experience.

Varanasi is all about emotion, spirituality, lesson about life and death! Always takes me to another world of divine spirituality. Assi Ghat, Dashashwamedha Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat are popular ones. Evening aarti at Dashashwamedha Ghat is overwhelming and serene. One must visit here.

Tulsi Ghat is a hidden gem in the bustling city of Varanasi. The peaceful atmosphere and serene surroundings make it the perfect spot for a morning or evening stroll. The Ghat is well-maintained and the views of the river are breathtaking. I highly recommend visiting this spot for a moment of tranquility and reflection in the midst of the city's hustle and bustle. The best time to visit is early morning or sunset for a beautiful view of the sun rising or setting over the Ganges. Overall, a must visit place for anyone visiting Varanasi.

It was in the year 1941 that Tulsi Ghat was made pucca (cemented) by the famous industrialist, Baldeo Das Birla. One of the most popular ghat of Varanasi. This ghat is named according to the Tulsi Das. The beauty of this ghat is different at different times. Once there was a hostel of Banaras Hindu University. This ghat is reconstructed by Raja Baldeo Das. The night view is extraordinary. The lighting at night is just awesome. It looks like a haveli in the horror film. Many people are bathing here.

Although it is difficult to choose between the ghats of Varanasi, Tulsi ghat is relatively quite place. It is near to Assi ghat. I performed a ritual called Shradha of my father and other ancestors In tulsi ghat. I did witness a lots of couple enjoy quality time at the ghat. If you want to feel the holiness in Varanasi in a peaceful environment at the bank of holy Ganga do visit Tulsi ghat.

Faith and devotion is on live display at this beautiful scenic ghat of banaras. Best spot to catch up with daily activities of locals, serenity of ganga and to experience devotion in its true form. Tulsi Ghat has its own importance in History where "Ram Charitra Manas" was written by Tulsi Das

Peacefull place. This is the place where Ramcharitmanas was written. The pipal tree is where tulsidas worshipped and his house is beside it thats why it is known as tulsi ghat. Its very less crowded unlike other ghats and very peaceful.

It was in the year 1941 that Tulsi Ghat was made pucca by industrialist, Baldeo Das Birla.Tulsi Ghat is very accessible by boat and would suggest hiring a private boat tour on the banks of river ganga in varanasi costs approx Rs 1500 per boat trip for the entire family where you can stop and visit at all important ghats , watch the ganga sunrise instead of the group boat tours which speed through all the ghats for the morning ganga river tours. Really a amazing experience here in the evenings time.

Avoid the assi ghat's traffic and crowd by coming to this ghat which is very near to assi ghat. It is easily reachable from the main road. You can also sit here at balconies for a better view. Enjoy ✌

Tulsi Ghat is another essential ghat of Varanasi. Named after the celebrated poet and saint Tulsidas, Tulsi Ghat has been the stage of the first ever Ramleela as per Hindu legends. It is believed that when Tulsidas composed the tremendous Indian epic Ramcharitmanas in Varanasi, his manuscript once fell into Ganga and rather than sinking, it kept floating over the river near this ghat. A temple of Lord Ram was built on the Ghat, and many relics of Tulsidas are preserved at the Tulsi Ghat. The house in which Tulsidas died has also been retained and his Samadhi, wooden clogs, pillow and the idol of Hanuman, which Tulsi worshipped, can all be still found intact here.
