This is a relatively serene place and more clean. The view is very good. You can reach Kachouri gali on foot in around 15 minutes. You will love to negotiate very narrow lanes with cows as your companion. It's a unique experience. This ghats is the best ghats for taking bath.

One of the most sacred sites in Banaras, Panchganga Ghat is believed to be the meeting point of five rivers/streams; the Ganga, Yamuna, Sarasvati, Kirana and Dhupapapa – although today only the great Ganga is visible. The stone ghat was originally built by Raghunatha Tandan, the finance secretary of the mughal king Akbar, and was renovated by Bajirao Pesava in 1735, and Sripatirao Pesava in 1775. Dozens of three-sided cubicle shrine rooms front the great Ganga, which open out onto the river. Some of these cubicles contain a linga or an image, others are empty and now serve as a place for yogic exercises and meditation. In the mid 1850s, Matthew Atmore Sherring was working in Banaras and described this ghat.

(Translated by Google) It is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world and the oldest inhabited city in India. This city is a sacred place of Hinduism as well as Buddhism and Jainism, whose beauty can be seen in the evening at the Ganges Ghat. Varanasi derives its name from the confluence of the two rivers Varuna and Asi.

Panchganga Ghat is at walking distance from the Kaal Bhairava Mandir. It’s more serene and peaceful place as it is relatively unexplored by the tourists. Many famous math like Tailang Swami math,Shree math etc are present here. The best part was the path leading to Panchganga ghat from Kaal Bhairava temple, amidst the colourful lanes of Varanasi.

As I had gone during pitrupaksha, in the morning, there were rituals at many places, the shores were dirty with too many litters. Wish visitors were more responsible.

As the name suggests, Panchganga Ghat is the place where five sacred rivers converge to form an overwhelming spectacle of beauty and holiness. The five holy rivers are the Ganges, Saraswati, Yamuna, Kirana and Dhupapapa. The Panchganga Ghat stands as an example of Hindu-Muslim harmony. The Mosque of Alamgir, also known as Beni Madhav-ka-Darera, stands tall near the ghat on a site where it is believed stood the Bindu Madhava Temple.

The ghat where Sant Kabeer got initiated by Swami Ramananda, this ghat is really beautiful and does worth a visit. Comparatively, it is less crowded so it still holds its serenity.

Was very clean and beautiful. If u are looking for solace Panchganga ghat is preferred choice over Dashashwamedh ghat. In Kartik month Akashdeep beside ghat are special attraction. U can stay for hours at this place both at evening or morning. Sunrise and sunset are mesmerizing from here. Stairs are again very beautiful as they are very steep. Now a days clean ghats are such a relief. This season is again very favourite to me as we have special guest in the form of Syberian migratory birds. They becomes so friendly that the feed food directly from your hand.

It is the best place to take a bath. First thing, it is less crowded. You will find no boats parked on this ghat. And water also is not so deep, you have sand near the ghat that is helpful in bathing easily. There are few small temples on the ghat and one with ganga mata idol with door, that will be very useful for ladies to change as well.

One of the important ghats on Bank of holy Ganges in Varanasi. It is believed that the five rivers i.e. Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Dutpapa and Kirna meet at this place thus called Panch(five)+Ganga(rivers). Shree Bindu Madhav temple is located at the the rising stairs of Panchganga Ghat. Easiest way to reach here is through boats boarding either from Assi Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Raj Ghat or Namo Ghat. Otherwise one has to travel through narrow and very confusing lanes of Varanasi either starting from Chowk or Vishweshwarganj.

(Translated by Google) When I traveled to India with my friends when I was a student, my first goal in India was Varanasi. I think it was here that I could meet India that I had imagined and India that was beyond my imagination. After that, I traveled around India with Delhi, Mumbai and Cape Komorin, but when I was asked where I could feel the most Indian style, it was here. (Translated by Google) Varanasi is a shocking place where cows roam narrow alleys, covered in heat and dust. Watching the Ganges river where people bathe in such a place is a completely extraordinary experience. Elsewhere, when I woke up in the morning and went to the rooftop of the inn, it seemed that wild monkeys would bring T-shirts and socks that had been dried. I was hungry in Varanasi, so I didn't want to go there again for a while after I returned to Japan, but as time passed, I wanted to go here again. This is a place I highly recommend (?) For those planning a trip to India.

    (Translated by Google) Panchganga Ghat is a famous ghat built on the Panchganga River in the north-west of Kolhapur. There are several small temples around this ghat some of which are also situated in the middle of the river. Panchghanga Ghat is completely built of stones. It is very large and full of natural beauty. It was here that Sant Eknathji completed the great text of Varkari sect by writing Shri Eknathi Bhagwat and the procession on the elephant of that book by Kashiranesh and scholars was taken out with great fanfare. Alamgir Mosque which is locally known as Beni Madhav's Dera is located here. Now its towers are of lower height. In fact, this mosque stands on the remains of Madhav, the largest temple point of his time. It used to be a huge temple of Vishnu which stretched from Panchganga to Ram Ghat. Later Aurangzeb destroyed it and built a magnificent mosque here. Panchganga has another link in Hindu-Muslim relations. This link is in the form of Kabir, a Sufi saint of medieval times. Kabir, the son of a Muslim weaver, was equally popular in both Hindu-Muslim sections due to his creations and human outlook. At the mouth of the river there are chambers surrounded on three sides, which remain submerged in water during the rainy season. Some of these have Shivling and some have statues of Lord Vishnu installed. Some are also lying empty which are used for meditation and yoga. It is here that the temple symbolizes the confluence of five rivers. This is the meeting point of the Yamuna, Saraswati and the Ganges river, including the invisible rivers like Dhootpap and Kiran. On the north side, Trilochan falls further than the Ghat, the symbol of Shiva, the symbol of Shiva. Next to it, the river Ganges passes through some areas of Varanasi which are now Muslim dominated areas. The ghats falling here have lost their relevance over time and only the raw ghats have survived. The Varuna River joins the Ganges at the Adi Keshav Ghat which falls on the outskirts of the city. It is also difficult to reach here on rainy days as it is completely submerged in water. This is the place where Lord Vishnu came as the messenger of Shiva. In fact, this is the original place of the city. Over a period of time, the city expanded in the south direction. There are many temples of Lord Ganesha around Adi Keshava.
