The perfect way to see all the ghats in Varanasi is - boat Tour. Agents will come to you when you will be nearby ghats and negotiate with you, make sure that before riding. but again, to see 130 ghats and their beauty, you must have this in Varanasi. Situated beside the great Dashaswamedh ghat and most picturesque after Darbhanga ghat, Especially blue water with Lord Shiva painted, looks amazing. Boat tours, aarti, local market, man mandir ghat - this is like the hub of all ghats. Apart from Dashaswamedh ghat, grand Aarti also takes place at this ghat every evening. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the First President of India (1950- 1962) and to honor him, this Ghat is named after him.

Known as VIP Ghat, this Ghat is most visited Ghats by many singers, dancers and various artists as many events are organised by state government. Gabga Arti is done daily at adjacent Dashashwamedh Ghat. There is a sewage pumping station at this Ghat.

नमामि गंगे ❤🙏🏻 The place is heart touching at the maha aarti time in evening. 😍 A large number of gathering can be seen at that time and the sound of chants and other music instruments surrounds the ghat.

Dr rajendra prasad ghat is a ganga river bank just like all the other banks of Varanasi. The ambiance of this ghat is very good. It is really hard to compare one ghat with another to be honest. The beauty of each ghat owes to mother ganga. It is utmost importance of every visitor as well to keep the ghats clean and avoid littering at all costs.

This Ghat is Just Awesome I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. I have a wonderful place that made me happy a lot of times, years ago. But sometimes I think that I am the only person who likes this place and I'm asking myself if this place will be as beautiful as I thought when I will go back to visit it again. Perhaps I made it beautiful in my mind. I used to go there to sit down on a rock and watch the town and my trees. There was a very old tree, a maple tree, with a huge trunk. The others were smaller, three in the back, three on my left side and the old maple tree on my right. There were flowers, many kinds, white, yellow, purple and blue. It was nobody's place. It was beautiful and peaceful and I dreamed many times about. I think that, these kinds of places are meaningful to people because they are natural and people can be there alone, away from their everyday life. I used to go there to be alone or to dream with my eyes open admiring the blue sky or the clouds. I liked to go there to lay down on the grass, listen to the wind, kiss the flowers and watch the leaves moving.

Very very crowded during evening. Boat ride are also highly mismanaged. What we did, paid 100 rs per person to local guy who had made arrangement only for sitting over the roof of one small temple to watch ganga aarti. Its better that way than sitting in crowd or on boat.

    (Translated by Google) 468 temples were built in Varanasi, because according to the lunar calendar there are 13 months in a year, 13 months and 9 planets, four directions - in this way 468 temples were equal to the product of thirteen, nine and four. 72 percent of your gross body is water, 12 percent is earth, 6 percent is air and 4 percent is fire. The remaining 6 percent is sky. All yogic processes originate from a particular science, which is called ghost purification.

Visited here with my Family. Peaceful Place where you just get irid of all of you tension. Here you can understand the gap between the morality Mortality Death. This ghat is side to dashaswamedha ghat , two big water tanks will be here they will be main attraction. In 1979 in honour of the first president of India. Rajendra Prasad this ghat was renamed, and made Paved floor with the aid of the Municipal Corporation of Varanasi. In fact, this ghat become northern extension of Dashashvamedha Ghat. And till overdue nineteenth century a stone statue of horse become at the ghat witnessing the "ten-horses sacrifices" accomplished through Bhara Siva Nagas in second century, that is how the antique name "Ashwa(घोड़ा) Ghat. This ghat is just adjacent to Dasashwamedh Ghat where the evening Aarti is performed.

It is also known as Dasaswamedh Ghat. This only ghat approachable by vehicles to find glimpse of varieties of ancient life continuing same as ever. Ten horses sacrifice was done here by an emperor Divoas in presence of Gods. It is located near Godowlia more. It is the most popular ghat of Varanasi. It is a ghat one of the Panchghat of Kashi. In it five holy places Assi Ghat, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Manikarnika ghat, Panchanga Ghat and Baruna are joined together. You can go here from Varanasi Railway Station, Kashi Railway Station, Mughal Sarai Railway Station. On this place the famous Ganga aarti is also shown. The aarti is too much holy, colourful.Thousands of people are gathered there to see the holy aarti. Beside of this ghat Ganga mata temple is also located. Near about this ghat Jantar mantar is located. You can pick a boat ⛵ to see the aarti. If you are interested to see the all Sixty-five ghats of Kashi Nagri, from here you can hire a boat ⛵🚢.

This ghat is named after the first president of India who's "Dr.Rajendra Prasad". This ghat is mostly visited ghat among the other ghats in "Banaras". In recent years, the government did a good job to maintain the cleanliness. The regular visit of our PM and MP "Shri Narendra Modi" also made this place to gain lot of popularity around the world. The recent "Dev Deepawali" celebration was also a great representation of culture through various dance forms.

In 1979 in reminiscence and honour of the first president of India. Rajendra Prasad this ghat was renamed, and made pucca with the aid of the Municipal Corporation of Varanasi. In fact, this ghat become northern extension of Dasasvamedha Ghat. And till overdue nineteenth century a stone statue of horse become at the ghat witnessing the "ten-horses sacrifices" accomplished through Bhara Siva Nagas in second century, that is how the antique name "Ghoda Ghat". It is believed that identical horse photo is shifted to Sankatmochana temple. The fable refers that servants of Bhara Siva Nagas taken bath here. Earlier this ghat became called Ashva or Ghoda Ghat within the memory of customer in horse sacrifice held in third century however now it is called Rajendra Prasad Ghat considering that 1979 for you to honour the first president of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The set of stairs lead down to some thing as small as a pond or as large as a primary river.

Rajendra Prasad Ghat, nestled beside the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi, is a hidden gem that offers a delightful blend of history, spirituality, and modern attractions. This ghat is not only steeped in cultural significance but also provides a tranquil and clean environment, making it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking a unique experience in the spiritual heart of India. One of the highlights of Rajendra Prasad Ghat is its close proximity to the renowned Man Singh Observatory. This historical astronomical observatory, built during the reign of Maharaja Man Singh of Jaipur in the early 18th century, adds an element of scientific wonder to the overall experience. Visitors can explore the intriguing instruments used by ancient astronomers to observe celestial bodies and gain insights into India's scientific heritage. The ghat's location-friendly aspect is a major draw for tourists. Situated near the bustling Dashashwamedh Ghat, Rajendra Prasad Ghat offers a relatively peaceful environment for visitors to soak in the spiritual atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds. It provides an excellent vantage point to witness the grand Ganga Aarti ceremony, a breathtaking ritual that takes place daily at Dashashwamedh Ghat, further enhancing the overall spiritual experience. Moreover, Rajendra Prasad Ghat's proximity to the newly established Virtual Experiential Museum adds another layer of fascination to the visit. The museum employs cutting-edge technology to provide an immersive experience of Varanasi's rich cultural and historical heritage. Visitors can delve into the city's past, traditions, and mythology through interactive displays and captivating virtual presentations, making it an educational and engaging stop on the journey. The cleanliness of Rajendra Prasad Ghat is commendable. The local authorities and responsible tourism initiatives have made consistent efforts to maintain the ghat's pristine condition. Unlike some overcrowded ghats in Varanasi, this serene spot offers a refreshing environment where visitors can sit back, relax, and take in the sights and sounds of the sacred river without being disturbed by litter or pollution. The ghat's proximity to Dashashwamedh Ghat is an added advantage, as it allows visitors to explore both places conveniently. Dashashwamedh Ghat is the most famous and vibrant ghat in Varanasi, attracting throngs of pilgrims and tourists. By contrast, Rajendra Prasad Ghat offers a more serene and intimate setting for those seeking a quieter experience. In conclusion, Rajendra Prasad Ghat in Varanasi stands out as an enchanting destination that effortlessly weaves together history, spirituality, and modern attractions. With the intriguing Man Singh Observatory nearby, a visitor-friendly location close to Dashashwamedh Ghat, the novel Virtual Experiential Museum, and a clean and serene environment, this ghat presents an ideal opportunity for travelers to immerse themselves in the cultural and spiritual tapestry of Varanasi. Whether you seek moments of tranquility or a deeper understanding of India's rich heritage, Rajendra Prasad Ghat promises an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful place of serenity. One should try to watch Aarti from the boat as well from ghat itself. There are chairs which are arranged for free of cost . You must reach there by 1pm to occupy your required seat. The Aarti will start at 5:30pm. But trust me, it is worth waiting for a few hours to experience a magical moment.

Well developed ghat among all over ghat in Varanasi . Great view from here. In the evening, we took a boat ride to the other side of Ganga from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ghat. The view of endless ghats, from amidst the river is breathtaking. It looks like a painters colour palette. I stepped out on the bank of the river, took a handful of 'Gangajal' and sprinkled it over my head. I don't know if a handful of water can wash ones sins, but the belief that it shall cleanse your soul, surely fills one's throat. After this we rode across the length of the river to see all the ghats. Some had people leaving the wish 'deep' for a good life and on the contrary some had cremation ceremony going on. The cycle of life could be seen meters away!

This ghat is named after our first president of India. This is one of the best and clean ghats for visitors. This is located around 1 KM East of Girijaghar crossroad. The visitors can commute until Girijaghar by own vehicles or public transport and fron there till ghat, you need to walk. There're varieties of shops you'll find during the walk to ghat. A great shopping experience but a Bargain buyer can make the most out of it. Ganga Aarti and Boat ride are the major attractions. Best time to visit in Summer, 6-8 PM.. You ginna love the colors of sky and Ganga.

I visited Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ghat (which is near Dashashvamedh Ghat) in Varanasi on February 25, 2020. It was Ganga Arti Time and generally Aarti starts at 6-6.15 pm so we rushed to find a seat. But we were among the first ones there. The Ghat is very clean and the Aarti arrangements were really excellent. We found a good place to sit facing the Aarti process. There was a music at the background (I think it was a Bhajan by Anup Jalota), the atmosphere was getting created. At last the arti started at 6.30. It was a picturesque scene! There were some Pujaris at Dashashvamedh Ghat and 6 Pujaris on Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ghat. It was a wonderful evening

The dance using the fire is crowded, so you can see it in the seats that you should pay about 100 to 300 rupees (as of March 2017), but it is one hour before it starts because it is full when it is late Is better.
