This is a cultural program held every day morning at the Assi Ghat. The cultural department in association with local and outside artists, dancers and singers, organises a cultural program comprising of Singing and Dancing. Yagya too us held everyday morning just opposite to the 'Subah e Banaras' platform.

To create an ecstatic ambience this stage plays a vital role. Basically it sets a tune for the #Morning_Raga (a divine like feeling). Famous musicians (instrument player & vocalist) plays quality Indian classical music to mesmerize the listeners present here on the verge of the sunrise next to the holy river Ganga (reach the place before 04:30 am).

Great concept that makes for a great way to spend time in the morning when in Varanasi. The cultural/wellness program takes place on a permanent stage at Assi Ghat in the morning. It starts right after the morning aarti. They collaborate with local artists and yoga instructors, give them recognition too. One can experience instrumental music, or even attend a yoga lesson here in the morning. They have ample seating (plastic chairs) and carpets rolled out for yoga.

One of the best things that I have seen in my life in India. We were staying near Assi Ghat hence it was really easy for us to go and visit this extraordinary sight. We went there before time at 5 am. and the place was already getting full. The program started with songs and Vandana for mother Ganges and then the priests came for the Aaarati. This Subah e Banaras or morning arati is one of its kind and it ended with the sunrise. The Ghat was looking magical at the first ray of light and the arati program and performance was great.

Subah-e-Banaras, an early morning collective effort before dawn (sunrise) rather a phenomenon started on 24th Nov, 2014 by Hon. Minister of State,U.P. Govt. With a pious concept, an initiative taken by Shri Pranjal Yadav, DM, Varanasi and Dr. Ratnesh Verma, Chief, Regional Cultural Center, Varanasi was strengthened by Shri Vishak G, Chief Development Officer, Varanasi. Thus they became founders of Subah-e-Banaras. Later a committee has been constituted to glorify and propagate the celestial moments of Subah-e-Banaras for spiritual development. People from all walks of life joined hands together to perpetuate the early hour's effort to feel within existence of Almighty and grandeur of Nature. Salient Features :- • A morning of Varanasi full of life, light and spiritual essence perpetuating the eternal beauty of nature along with Vedic Chanting, Music and Yoga.  A mystic blend of nature’s grandeur and human existence, Rising Sun, Golden Ganges and glittering Ghats inspire men to Enchant, Sing and meditate (Yoga). Come and feel the spiritual fragrance of pluralistic human existence. • Come live with joy forever, start the day with new hopes, aspirations and internal strength, inspired by Vedic enchanting of Richas, enthralling Ganges, Ghats and vibrant soulful Indian music in addition to an introspection. • Subah-e-Banaras, a phenomenon that has been ascribed to civilization to foster cosmic evaluation and its supramental consciousness. During morning hours ‘creative energy’ revealed Himself after lifting the veil of darkness. • True, no one can see ‘Thou’ with his organic eyes but every one of us can realize Him with the help of purified intellect & soul. Subah-e-Banaras gives you a golden opportunity to purify your mind and soul.

This is a part of the extended Assi Ghat also known as New Assi Ghat. A local initiative, it begins at day break at about 5 in the morning with Ganga Arti, done with all reverence and rituals. This is followed by a cultural programme, usually classical music, for about 45 minutes to an hour. A guided Yogasna session follows. This is an experience, which can not be described, early morning tranquility, you connect with the Divine, fills you with Sachidanand - you become one with Him.

Must visit early in the morning to experience the divinity of the mother nature. The aarti combined with the performances and Veda parayana, add to it the morning sunrise. Words can't describe. You will have to visit and experience.

A nice place to go on.. An essence of banaras u would find many locals doing there daily activities.. Very nice atmosphere here early in the morning everyday before sunrise. Located at divine Assi Ghat. You can feel relax and peaceful. There are some musical program and in the end there is Yoga for the visitors. You can take a walk near the Bank of Ganges. Several boats are also there on payment basis which can take you for a small trip in the river Ganga.

This morning ritual at Assi ghat beautifully captures the essence of banaras. Morning arti is followed by classical music program and it ends with pranayam/yoga practice. The program begins around 5:30 . Its open for all and no entry ticket is required. There are vip seats and sitting arrangement for general audience. I had no vip arrangement but the organisers are polite and conduct the program smoothly and let everyone participate. If u want to sit and watch or have elderly/kids try and reach the place by 5-5:10. In our three days of stay we attended this program twice and were spellbound .

A good initiative by the authorities in Benaras. It provides a platform for people to come together each morning and do daily essentials in a group. The tradition of Indian Classical Music, Yoga and Aarti- all can be experienced together. The collective experience of the whole city is completely summarised if one visits this ceremony in the morning.
