I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hostel LA VIE Varanasi. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected, and I kindly request a refund for my reservation. During my stay at Hostel LA VIE Varanasi, I encountered numerous issues that made my stay extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant. Some of the major issues include: 1. Lack of Drinking Water Facility: There was no drinking water facility provided in the room, forcing me to purchase water from outside. 2. Poorly Maintained Beds: The beds in the room were in a state of disrepair, with parts running apart and causing discomfort. 3. Inadequate Ventilation in Washroom: The washroom lacked proper ventilation, making it feel claustrophobic and uncomfortable. 4. Absence of Room Freshener: There was no room freshener provided, which contributed to an unpleasant atmosphere in the room. 5. Uncleaned Sheets: The bed sheets in the room were uncleaned and did not meet basic hygiene standards. 6. Misleading Room Pictures: The pictures of the rooms on the Agoda website were outdated and did not accurately represent the current condition of the hostel. The rooms appeared much better in the pictures, which is misleading. 7. Non-Functional AC: The air conditioning in the room was not working properly, and despite changing rooms, the problems persisted. My overall experience at Hostel LA VIE Varanasi was truly disappointing, and it did not meet the standards I expected when making the reservation through Agoda. I believe I should not be held accountable for the subpar conditions and services provided by the hostel.

1. The washrooms are not so good, i would say below average 2. You may find it difficult to find the place. However, the place has good common area, a 24x7 reception. 3. The alleys to the location are not good, you will find garbage all over the alley. 4. Wifi is good

Amazing experience at the coolest hostel What i liked - The room and washroom was clean, the vibe was awesome and the staff was helpful. What i disliked - The way to hostel was dirty and very narrow lanes, so had to walk with the luggage.

Only thing good about this place is staff and ground floor atmosphere that too only in night. We booked two rooms for two nights and has high expectation from the place. Rooms are congested and suffocating, apart from ground floor everything else looks very gloomy. It's tough to explain what went wrong and right so I will categories it. Good: Staff is very friendly and helpful . Common area is decent and clean. Bad: Location is really tough, it may look like it is on ghast but reaching ghats from here can be tricky. Rooms are very small and dark, a little stinky too. Washrooms are very congested. No hostel vibe if you leave ground floor. Common washrooms, that were visible from the stairs itself were really dirty.(but again that becomes responsibility of travellers like us to keep it clean.) Finding food can be tricky, since they got very few options. Make sure you had dinner before walk back here in night. Al three stars are for staff. Rest the property ok.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at Hostelavie Varanasi.Not very far from the main road , the staff were friendly and attentive . The room while not overly spacious was clean and well maintained , but for the price it’s more than satisfactory . Good choice anyone on tight budget

I recommend here because: - Friendly and polite staff - Enough clean room with AC - Comfortable hot shower - Nice location for sightseeing - Affordable price for everyone Of course, this isn't five star hotel. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. However, the boat trip booked through the hostel was disappointing. The guide, who we asked in advance if there was one, only said a few sentences. The cost of the boat trip was high. We were told beforehand that we would be out for two hours. However, the ceremony was a large part of it, during which we were not on the boat.

Nice basic hostel near the ghats. Reasonable price for food. Very damp smelling rooms. The first one we were shown had fungus on the walls. Could be cleaner.

I booked a private room with them, hoping for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The room we were assigned was tiny, leaving very little space to move around. To add to our disappointment, the small and unusable bathrooms. As a tall person, I found it incredibly difficult to fit into the bathroom stalls, let alone use the toilet comfortably. The lack of space and awkward positioning of the toilet made it impossible for me to feel at ease during my stay.

One of the best hostels in Benares in terms of vibes, cleanliness, staff behavior. It's bright and spacious unlike few other hostels I checked in person. The only con is the dirty lanes around it.

The place had only a wee bit of hostel vibes, it's more of a guest house. Though rooms and washrooms were clean, it was a really small space with no proper ventilation. Reaching the hostel was a task in itself, situated near Shivala ghat, but the lanes heading to the place were dirty and unsafe. Staff is friendly and helpful, with good knowledge of touristy things, helped us save a lot of time. And ofcourse the hostel is nowhere near the one shown in the pictures available online. Booked through Agoda, choose wisely.

This is very beautiful place for backpackers. Bit inside from the main city and little away from the temple areas but shouldn't be a problem for young and healthy people. I feel there is no other better place you will get in varanasi for staying at such a low cost. HosteLaVie Varanasi has bunk beds that are pretty exciting. View of Ganga from terrace is amazing. Everything from food to facilities to atmosphere to crowd was immaculate here. Very important, the staffs are really good & supportive.

It's one of the best for price and location. Wished it had a back entrance though which led to the ghat. Now we had to walk quiet a bit to reach to the main road and then to the ghat. Nevertheless, better than most other crowded hotels/hostels at the same price.

One of the most comfortable places I've stayed at while in India. Pleasant athmosphere of the whole open space, nice quiet location a bit off the main crowded streets, nice rooftop view of Ganga, friendly staff, clean rooms.

The staff is lovely, very welcoming and helpful. If you order food sometimes can take a little bit of time so make sure you are not in a rush when ordering food. Rooms are being cleaned every day, and you have lockers underneath the beds. A little bit hard to access, if you are carrying heavy luggage try to get a tuk tuk

Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel is bit inside from main road. But the walkable distance to ganga ghat. Bunkar beds are also available in this hotel. Kitchen service is available. This hotel closes it main door ar 10 PM and open in morning at 5 AM. If you come in night after 10 PM they won't allow to enter to the hotel weather you have booked your room in this hotel. One of the best hostels in Varanasi. Spacious, calm, quiet, clean. Cost of single room is 1200 rupees per night and the dorms go for 300 rupees per night. Restaurant is fine. Food takes a long time to come after you order.

The property is beautiful and the location is great (15min walk to Assi ghat). We stayed in a shared 4-bedroom well equiped with fans and pretty clean. The hostel seemed half empty (late September) so we didn’t get to interact with other hosts or see the atmosphere. The staff were nice but not as helpful as in other hostels I’ve been. I wouldn’t go as a female solo in low season but do recommend it to couples or friends for its good quality-price

If any tourists coming to visit the river Ganga, they can have a nice journey here in HotelLaVie, Varanasi. My friend and I only paid 3000INR for two days' stay in an AC room. They have washrooms for the room. A different place for dining, washing machine and standard TV Room as well as working place. I'm giving my five stars for this hotelavie.

This hostel is located in very peaceful area near Shivala Ghat... It is in between Kedar Ghat and Assi Ghat.. From here you can easily go to Assi Ghat to see morning aarti of 5 am Staff is very cooperative.. They also provide boating service in case you need... I recommend this to all of you

The worst staying experience ever. The staff wasn’t supportive at all, I was asked to carry my bag to 2nd floor via stairs. They asked me change room because they had other booking and that time also I was just told to shift my stuff by myself from a double bedroom to bunker bedroom. There was no hot water, not even a single table or chair in room to put stuffs. Bedsheets were used and never changed in 4 days of stay. No food (not even breakfast) was provided irrespective of they mention on website. I had to order from swiggy/zomato. Even when I asked to cutlery to eat my food, they asked me to clean it after use. This is worst place, expensive as per services, unhygienic and with-unprofessional staff.

This is a beautiful place for backpackers. It's a bit inside the Galli's once you found the place there no other better place you will get in varanasi for staying at such a low cost. They provides food if you need (you need to pay for that). I paid around 300rs for one night. This location have a common space and you can take rest there. You can chat with others, there is a tv and you can watch that, there is also some board games and you can spend some time to relax there. They even provide us a washing machine for washing clothes. The last and most important thing is the attitude of the people there. They make you feel comfortable in every way.

Entering this place is a bit complicated, you need to go through a lot of narrow roads and find your way. They have bunk beds that are pretty much exciting. A very good view from the terrace. You can book this place for 300rs to 800rs bed depending on services you need, like Ac, breakfast of playing area.
