    Everything was good but they cleaned the room in our absence and threw my father's medicine and when we demanded an explanation they blamed us only and said In 5 star hotel we can clean the room in absence. But in the pretext of cleaning they threw our medicine.Very unprofessional behaviour.How can they touch our luggage ? It was pathetic.My father's needed the medicine as we have to travel at 5 in the morning and that night was very difficult for us .Food, rooms all are good but no security was there.

    came here to escape the intensity of downtown Varanasi and to be located closely to the historical site of Sarnath and airport. I couldnโ€™t have been more happy with my decision. The hotel is very well maintained up to European standards. The service was excellent and the food amazing with plenty or choice. Best Thali I had throughout my travels

    Pathetic service to be very honest Highly Arrogant staff especially at reception. Absolutely non- accomodating, not- flexible mindset with no hospitality at all. Very bad experience. Dont expect such a service from a chain like HHI. No way a 3- star Hotel experience, the charges are not at all worth the experience and price. Cant emphasize enough honestly. Changed the hotel the very next day and shifted to another Hotel.

    Location is good, but the room service was very slow. Rooms and lobby area smell very bad. Bathrooms are not properly maintained. Mineral water bottles and cold drinks are overpriced. Worst experience, swimming pool and fitness centre were closed. They didn't inform it in advance. Don't waste your money.

    I am giving 5 stars because of the service this hotel provided. I was feeling sick and didnโ€™t have much energy to try and find a charger as it can be a huge hassle as a foreigner. The woman at the front desk went above and beyond to help me. She ended up having one hotel staff help me obtain a charger. Thank you to her! I also appreciated all the room service options at this moment. ๐Ÿ™

    I have booked 3 executive rooms at HHI VARANASI on 24th Nov 23. I will not recommend this hotel and will suggest Guest to avoid this hotel, although claimed as 4 star category but the property and staff lacked professionalism. Staying there it seems u have come to sone govt guest house where every employee wants to extract money from you. The staff right from reception to restaurant lacks training in hospitality management and behaves as sarkari babu. Cons 1. Property is very old and rooms lack basic necessity. 2. AC in room is just a duct and has no temp control switch. 3. TV in rooms is old antique 32 inch screen 4. Toilets are old fittings which looks shabby. 5. Beds are very narrow and not comfortable. 6. Breakfast - Dishes were empty and no efforts were made to refill, on pointing out they mentioned it takes time to cook. Waiters seems to be more bothered about collecting tips at buffet breakfast which is already paid. In addition I strongly feel there is a financial scam going on there by front desk staff. I have booked 3 executive room with twin bed via agoda, however after making payment the voucher came with 3 room booking but single occupancy. On reaching there the hotel staff Started demanding extra amount for double occupancy although the room had twin beds and as per hotel policy max 3 person allowed in the room. Tried contacting agoda but there contact nos was not working, asked hotel to contact agoda to which they refused. Since the payment was made in advance they knew guest had no choice other than to pay extra. Had the room being booked as pay at property this could have never happened. From body language of the front desk staff it sems they were doing this financial fraud with every guest who had made online bookings.

    Despite all claims, this is the worst hotel I found in term of packing breakfast. Even the smallest hotels, pack the breakfast in better way. We had 5 rooms. We asked them to pack breakfast as we were unable to have it. We have a corporate plan. First they denied to pack, ultimate when packed it was below the standard.

    Not high standards as it used to be. Rooms are not well maintained. Bathroom fixtures not working properly. We were in a group of 15 people, booked 8 rooms. There was always something broken in one room or other. Food quality and menu was unexpectedly worse. Not value for money. New and better properties are available at lesser prices in the vicinity. The only good thing about this hotel is its location which is in city center.

    The hotel has good infrastructure but it is very poorly maintained. It seems the management doesn't want to maintain it as well. Many simple things that we expect in such a hotel were missing. Furniture, doors broken, banging and drilling sounds everywhere. The restaurant is short of staff and the ones there are not too keen on interacting with customers. Food takes forever to come if ordered. Many food items served as part of the buffet were of poor quality. Room service is non existent. Reception staff also seem arrogant and irritated. Overall a good hotel that is ruined by poor maintenance and unprofessional staff.

    Its not a standard hotel , its a very cheapest hotal , literally third class hotel ,breakfast included hone ke baad bhi, food not available at last till 10.30am , very late service , not systematic very very poor buffet system, i will also share original pic guys.

    Iโ€™m writing a very honest review about this hotel after having gone through the tremendous amount of pain and mental harassment .The rooms are in a very shabby conditions not even a quarter worth of the amount paid. I wish I could attach the photos here but sadly thereโ€™s no option for that otherwise all could see how this hotel makes fool out of people by calling it a three star hotel. Shabby rooms, stinking bathrooms, loose electrical sockets. Itโ€™s a nightmare. Never go to this hotel, I had to cancel my booking seeing the state.

    It's a moderate grade old type hotel. The rooms are old and the linen looks older. Curd is never served as it is, both for lunch and dinner, but as Raita or Dahi Bhalla. They both taste sweet. Service is horrendous in the restaurant. Location is closer to the temples and Ganga river. This is the only USP.

    The reason that I have given 4 stars is because it is an old property. The room, amenities, bath fittings all advertise their age. Otherwise it was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good be it breakfast or dinner menu. The choice is varied and can serve different people with different food needs. I could see the hotel is patronised by many guests from abroad and the hotel tried to offer their choice of food as well. The restaurant size is small and you have wait for a while to get a seat during peak hours. Overall I would say the value for the money is not justified considering the huge tariff for HHI

    The quality of the rooms are very poor and not up to the level of even 3 star hotels. We were literally shocked to see the rooms. We specifically asked for non smoking rooms but the room had smoke smell. The staff agreed that the rooms are not non-smoking. We paid 60k for two executive rooms for 4 people for 4 nights and we were charged additional 7k at checkout which came as a surprise. The laundry service is more expensive than 5 star hotels we stayed. We had baby clothes and few adult clothes but were charged for adult rate. The staff is very rude. We read reviews which said staff is rude but thought that we might have a different experience. However it was the worst one. No one is accommodating. The quality of room as very poor and toilets were worst. Pictures on their website is very very deceptive. Iโ€™ll add few pics to show the condition of the rooms currently. They have a new GM now so hopefully the condition of the hotel might get better. Fingers are crossed ๐Ÿคž. Anyways if you looking to stay in Benares prefer staying in cantonment area. There are reasonable hotels with better rooms and rates there.

    A place needing a large injection of professionalism The rooms though apparently done up recently remind you of hotel rooms more than two decades ago. The washrooms are cramped and make using them a task. The service in restaurant is really laid back and food very forgettable. Will eat only to survive not for taste or presentation, which is surprising in varanasi known for its cuisine

    Rooms were dirty tiles and furniture were broken somewhere bathroom tiles were dirty and were turned yellow staff and service was ok. Breakfast served at buffet was also not of good quality. Not worth the monet you can get better hotel at this price point.

    Today I stayed in hotel Hindustan International Varanasi. It was a very bad experience. Service is very bad. Intercom not working. Didn't get it fixed even after repeated requests. There was no kit of any kind present in the room. It was given on demand. The room is like a general hotel in high price.sofa is dammage.

    Giving a one rating since there is no option for negative rating. The worst hotel I have stayed at. Do not get scammed by the website. High rates with rooms like a one star hotel interiors. Exterior looks fancy. Dirty sheets and flooring is wobbly. The showers donโ€™t work, and no hot water for shower. Run by so called people who calls this a 3 star hotel.

    SERIOUSLY LACKING IN HOSPITALITY. We had to wait 45 minutes for check in. We had to remind the reception staff repeatedly to check if the rooms were ready. They were trying to give us adjacent rooms but why we had to follow up after a tiring flight, I couldn't understand. The reception staff was spectacularly grumpy. We had to serve ourselves the welcome drinks. The air conditioner in our room was not working. They did send people over to check, but to no avail. No shower curtain. Refrigerator wasn't working. The commode was leaking. Food is average and extremely overpriced. Noone makes you feel at home at this hotel. The only two smiling faces were Muskan Jaiswal and Jayanti. I would not like to go back to this hotel, ever.

    Photos shown in website are probably 2 decades old. Rooms smells bad and bathroom are poorly maintained. Towels are old and bed comfort is bad. Dont book the hotel seeing photos. Regretted for staying 3 nights with my family member

    I recently stayed at the HHI Varanasi .The location was perfect - The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and plenty of amenities. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. I also appreciated the fitness center and pool on site. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Varanasi.

    Third class hotel with expensive room teriif. There staff don't know whether room is available or not. Buffet is disgusting..no taste if you visit varnasi stay somewhere else...and eat Street food ....Varanasi Street food specially near kashivishwanatha temple was awesome.

    No value for money 1. Wash room was not up to the mark. 2. Despite saying to clean the room. They did not clean the room. Due to which I had to waste 1 HR. for cleaning it after arriving from excursion in the evening. 3. Food at restaurant was very good. 4. Telephone was not working properly.

    Not a single star for this hotel. Guys if you are taking food in this hotel pl bring your own salt to add because food is bad and the worst part is I have waited almost 40 min and no one has provided salt as there is no salt in the food. Enter at your own risk. Worst experience.

    Terrible experience. In the past probably was a great structure, but now is dilapidated. Staff try their best to keep this hotel work decently but is impossible. Room are old and dirty, even the bedsheet are consumed and full of spots unidentified, we had to sleep with our clothes on. The smell of mildew and formalin gives you nausea, insects are everywhere. Food below average. Additional problem: most of the staff don't speak or understand English.

    Worst experience . Does not have AC s working properly . Poor staff behaviour . I asked for room use and throw sleepers and the head of floor cleaners said itโ€™s chargeable . Asked the receptionist he said not .utter confusion even while checking . Does it have room ready even after 5 pm . I got sick of the twin beds even after I specifically mentioned to have 1 queen bed . I will never recommend hhi Varanasi to anyone . Better hotels at Cantonment area with half the price and better services . Plus parking lot is open and at 42 degree celcious car turns out to be a furnace .. no management or planning . Not sure how itโ€™s running . Only thing I liked is the pool . It was clean but no towels or anything available . With that amount of tariff I believe they have to do way better

    The overall experience was decent. I had requested for both early check in & late check out. While I understand that the hotels may not be able to cater to both such requests. Though early check in was chargeable, however, if the same info had been provided earlier it would have saved time & hassle in the morning. 1) Upgrade: The hotel staff had the opportunity to give me an upgrade & I thank them for the same 2) Courteous: Some staff were very cooperative while some entirely opposite. I had the option to interact with Aryan who was extremely courteous & guided me, however, a few other people must enhance soft skills particularly in hospitality industry. Shout out to Aryan! ๐Ÿ‘ 3) Late check out: The hotel staff was able to cater to my request of late check-out as my train had been late (seems they had rooms available) 4) Housekeeping: They were promt to look into any complaints, however, room service was extremely slow 5) Check in & check out timings: Which hotel has a checkin at 2 PM & checkout at 11 AM? HHI management must ponder over it. You are losing out to other hotel chains due to this policy 6) Food - I had not opted for complementary breakfast, however, I ordered tea, coffee & sandwiches a couple of times & this is one area that was most pathetic. Food not tasty at all & that too highly overpriced. That's the reason I dined out of the hotel throughout my stay 7) Amenities: Swimming pool was under maintenance when I visited HHI management - you have the infrastructure & you could do much better than this. I met a gentleman while dining out at a local restaurant, who happens to be a local & even he echoed the same sentiment as mine. He said the hotel is located at a decent location, it gives the feeling of good ambience, however, there is some or the other thing missing that it has never clicked or been as famous for good reasons as it could be.

    Sorry to say, very very very poor quality of service and hotel rooms. We have booked for 3 nights for 2 room each day.Checked in on (409-408). The following concecuesces happened with me and my family. 1-The day checked in 409 room ac not working,at the end of 2:30 mid night we changed the room. 2- After changing hotel has given 404. In the same room AC create heavy sound. 3- Room shower and hand shower was not active as complaint same has been rectified. 4- In breakfast found cockroache in boiled egg chefers. 5- Asked for pan cake which mentioned not a part of buffet. 6- Food quality good but still few items found not upto the mark. 7- On 13th Dinner, # went to restaurant for buffet at around 9:50 found its full due to some group . So we wait till 10:30. #So some how we got the table with out any cover ,tissue and cuttlery. #Went to buffet found 80per cent is empty. #Asked for french fries but informed #kitchen closed for my baby. #There was a mutton in the buffet which I found optional as only for some group ,can't understand few guest has approached but they denied to serve. But i am quite surprised that then why is that placed on buffet where other room guest are also there. #One of my family member went with out eating, #Water has been asked to serve but served in durty glass where found other guest waste ,seems not cleaned properly. #Phulka is not a part of buffet up on asking. #Some how managed to had dinner with a chicken curry which was served along with rice. # Till the end we haven't got any choice of food apart from that has been served. 8-Dessert was empty and choice is only one. So as a guest what is my value to pay for the hotel which I have booked as it's seems start catagory. Unfortunately we have to come for another day ,but for sure it's waste of money and very poor experience that I am taking with me. I will surely share with couple of my colleagues who worked with same HHI kolkata . Please take this as a suggestion to improve for management benifits. Regards Soumyadip ganguly

    Friendly staff albeit the bell boy was too pushy to take my bags when I needed them to access certain items. The hotel was dated, dirty and pretty lacklustre. The hotel security was fairly non existent in comparison to other 4/5 star hotels I've stayed in in India. In my room the fridge was leaking water over the bedroom floor, the bathroom was grubby and the hotel kept having powercuts. The food was mediocre at best, the buffet dinner had a very small selection that I didn't enjoy at all. I skipped breakfast all together and ate at the airport instead. I wouldn't return to this hotel!

    If you have habit of staying only in 5 star hotel, this is very pathetic hotel, cleanliness is bad, lenins are washed. Donโ€™t stay in this hotel. Room service is bad, staff is always confused. When we entered the room, I thought to leave this hotel ๐Ÿจ and book another one. The only thing is that itโ€™s not maintained. Itโ€™s not 4 star, itโ€™s 3 star hotel. From outside and entrance, you will feel itโ€™s 4 star hotel, once you enter into rooms, you realise the authenticity of the hotel. They have broken switch boards and the on and off switch of AC was charging point. Imagine the level of pathetic maintenance

    Had booked 5 rooms here from 29 to 31 December 2022.The rooms are in a pathetic state. Stinks, toilets had spider webs roof of room is damp and show water proofing issues. The restaurant is serving poor quality food. They charged us 5800 plus 700 gst plus 650 each person for breakfast. The staff is very old and rude to talk to. If you are willing to spend this much amount go to 5 star properties like Taj and Raddison. Made the biggest mistake of staying here. DONT EVER GO HERE.

    Good and old Hotel & Restaurant of Varanasi. Though expensive but qualitative. The rooms are big. Proper parking facilities. But there is no arrangement to stay for drivers. Restaurants need more attention from management because service is poor. I have verbally informed the desk manager about the lapses.

    If you book a room here seeing the pics on net, then you are mistaken. Nice property but poor services. Linens were dirty, room not cleaned properly, all channels of Sony Sports not available. One had to wait a lot for getting different items during breakfast, even Poori. Not of value for your hard earned money.

    We stayed at The HHI in winter 2022. Our stay was very pleasant. Very good hospitality. Well trained and prompt room service. Friendly front desk staff. The breakfast spread is good and very tasty. Restaurant service is good. We had taken triple occupancy room and room was so spacious. This hotel is absolutely centrally located so very convenient for moving around the city. Everyone know HHI so it becomes easier to get transportation. Will highly recommend this hotel for stay in Varanasi

    The worst experience we had visited this hotel Genius at the Front Desk is the Discourteous, rude and Uncooperative. Firstly, despite notifying the hotel in advance about a late checkout, I was l๐Ÿคšsurprised to be charged extra for it. Clear communication had been made, making this additional fee unwarranted. Moreover, the state of the rooms was disappointing. They were not as clean as one would expect, raising concerns about the overall hygiene and maintenance standards. This aspect significantly impacted the quality of my stay. You also will not be treated as a guest if a VIP arrives at the property the staff will not respond to you.
