Worst experience ever. First of all this is not a hotel; it is a hostel with hostel like rules. No room service, no hotel amenities. This is definitely not a hotel especially not a 2 star one. It was a horrible experience. It is actually someone’s house. For people living in the common dorm there is a common washroom which is literally near the house gate. The private rooms cost 2100 and my own room is much much much better than that small space and the bathroom sucked at all level. Very bad experience, I hope they shut down.

We booked our rooms through goibibo and we faced a traumatic experience at the property. The rooms did not match the pictures and the bedsheets were dirty and the ACs weren’t working. When we complained to the property manager, he asked us to adjust for one night which is extremely unacceptable since we paid higher than usual charges. I would definitely not recommend staying here. Please don’t ruin your experience.

The place is good but it isn't exactly similar to the images that they have on the website. The dorm I was in was 6-bed mixed dormitory and the image that was available on the website while booking was quite appealing but in reality the room was quite compact and small. Also there wasn't any information available on the website about the air conditioning timing. And they only switch it on from 8:00pm onwards till 8:00am which might be uncomfortable for summers. The bathroom too was quite small for a 6-bed dormitory.

Overall, my experience was okay, with a mix of positive and negative aspects to consider. One of the standout features of this hostel was its cozy atmosphere. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it easy to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had during my stay. Their attentive service made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. However, there were some areas that required improvement, particularly in terms of cleanliness. One noticeable issue was the broken toilet. It was inconvenient to have only one functional toilet available for the entire hostel, and this definitely affected the overall comfort of the stay. Additionally, the cleanliness of the beds left something to be desired. While the hostel had potential, the lack of attention to bed cleanliness was a disappointment. Despite these shortcomings, the hostel's positive aspects helped balance out the experience. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made up for the cleanliness concerns to some extent. However, I believe it is crucial for the management to prioritize cleanliness and maintenance to ensure a more satisfactory stay for future guests. If the issues with cleanliness and the broken toilet were addressed, this hostel could become a much more appealing option for visitors to Varanasi. With its current offering, it is an okay choice for those who prioritize a cozy and welcoming atmosphere but are willing to overlook some cleanliness concerns. In conclusion, my stay at this hostel in Varanasi was a mixed bag. While the service and staff were commendable, there were notable cleanliness issues and a broken toilet that need attention. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and takes the necessary steps to improve the overall experience for future guests.

1. Rooms are not as shown in photos 2. Our flight was late, so we were late for checkin and our rooms were alloted to someone else without talking even though our booking was pre-paid. 3. Frequent power shortage, no power backup. 4 dirty sheets and quilt. 5. Frequent AC breakdown. 6. Non-cooperattive staff. 7. Not worth 3500INR per night for such world class facilities. 8 housekeeping very poor.

It was great. The vibes were amazing. The staff is super helpful and humble. Checked out different hostels, GoStops specifically stands out because of its engaging common area. Loved the stay and made 10-15 new friends. Washroom facilities can be a little modern and cleaner, to achieve a Five Star Rating. But overall you would love the stay, mostly because of the energy.

The rooms are good but the only issue I found was that the bed was a bit high.. especially the bunk bed in dorms. I really liked the ambience of the place and would highly recommend this place. It is situated at a perfect location to which most of the common places are near. Staff and services are good.

Loved the stay. I stayed for about a week in both rooms on ground floor and dormitory on the first. The staff is very well updated with what's going on in Varanasi so talking to them is helpful. They are very cordial and have almost all facilities one can want. Guests left unclean utensils hence they had to close public kitchen but other than that they have everything you can want - games, books, in-house cafe, rooftop, tenting facility, clean washrooms, wifi, connections for rental vehicles. I would name some but that would leave other staff out hence not naming one person but the entire staff is very warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay here when I visit again. The food is mostly frozen that they heat and give you. Better to choose from the options that they cook right there and then. Otherwise, get out of the hostel and try local food. There are so many options within 1km! The only drawback - street road connecting to main road is not constructed - it is a stone road (about 100m -150m) but it might be built soon.

There was no cleaning, food is very costly and tasteless, there's no backup and wifi is slow, quilt provided is very bad, no amenities as shown in the pictures.

I have stayed here for 3 nights, Stay was amazing, hostel decorations is fabulous 🤩 employees are very polite and friendly... Strongly recommend for solo travelers to stay. All the temples and ghats are very close from the hostel.

One of the best arrangements for a stay. Simply awesome. The environment, food, staff and service and even their hospitality is the cherry on the top. I would definitely recommend this place in Banaras for your temporary stay. Do check out.

The place is good. Do not expect the facilities of a hotel over here. It's a hostel and a good one at that. It has bunk beds. The toilets are clean, though facilities need a bit of change as they are old now. The common areas are good. Food is a bit of a dampner. Do not expect a good breakfast/lunch/ dinner. The snacks are okay. The staff is good and super helpful - always ready to help. Overall, if you are a backpacker and looking for a place where you just need to come over for sleep then this is the place for you. Remember to have your own locks as they do not provide locks to the lockers. In varanasi, the location is a bit away from all main attractions. Overall, it's a total value for money deal and I would recommend the place to all backpackers.

Absolutely amazing experience at pocket friendly prices. Clean rooms and washrooms. Private bunk beds with reading lamp, power outlet, fan and AC are super comfy. A little difficult to locate but you can figure it out in a minute or two. There are indoor games/entertainment available like foosball, chess, TV and swings. Majority of tourist attractions are within walking/short ride away from this place. 24X7 accessibility of Wi-Fi, cafeteria and check-in/check-out. Worth the visit.

I stayed there in December 2022. The location of the hostel is good, it's nearby Harishchandra Ghat. The hosts are very courteous. All the main attractions of the town are walking distance away from the hostel. My overall experience was very good. Will surely come again.

Located at the best location bhelupur near overhead water tank. And it is always packed and the staff is so polite and kind. Spacious and clean hostel not like others who are in banaras. Tip: book in advance

I stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms and Restrooms are clean. Marble flooring everywhere. It is near to lanka where you have nany restaurants. The staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here. People staying here made it more enjoyable. Played foosball aswell. Had lot of fun. I also liked maggi here, even though it is little costly. I'm looking forward towards staying at Gostops at other places. It is little far from the main temple. But you can get Autos.

As its the 1st property of go-stop so the facilities are basic and fittings are antique, but its a nice place,gives a next level of vibe ,crowd is also good....the only drawback i have faced is the location its difficult to find transportation facilities you have to walk around 400-500mt for auto n all, downtown is also far i.e 2.6 km , if you want quite location and good crowd then this place is best but if you want to explore more near the downtown the i would suggest to skip this place . Lastly i would like to thank the host who gave us a warm welcome and best hospitality 👍

Gostops maintains it's brand everywhere for sure. Rooms are spick and span, ample amount of common area in every floor to chill. Rooms and beds are properly equipped. Location is okay if you don't want to stay at the ghat. I personally preferred to stay near the ghat though, everything was readily available around even at late hours. Only request is to let friends join us in common area at least. That was chargeable even for couple of hours.

If you are in varanasi and looking for a hostel and your budget is around 500-600 then this is the place for you. It is located in bhelupur and around 2km from gadowlia market and 1 km from kedar ghat. Let us jump on to the pros and cons to help you understand better. PROS: 1.Budget friendly 2.Good for you if you are traveling solo,you can make friends here. 3.Comprises of two common areas at first and second floor where you can spend your time. 4.Has 16 bed and 8 bed dorm,you can choose accordingly (16 bed doesn't have common bathroom). 5.They also have in house pantry so you can order food from there as well. 6.Property is clean.(mostly) CONS: 1.It is a hostel not a hotel but still they have private rooms so i don't think you should go for it. 2.No common bathroom for 16 bed dorm so you have to go all the way to roof or near the reception. 3.Some common bathroom on roof doesn't work. 4.Check-in time is 1Pm(but you can wait in common area and they will allocate you bed once available. 5.They increase the prices when there is demand so we got the same bed for 700 which you generally get under 500. Good place near the places of interest in Varanasi. The rooms and clean & tidy and the rates are also reasonable. Can stay here during your solo trip as you're likely to make new friends.

The overall experience of Gostops was amazing. They have really vibrant common area and terrace to chill and relax. The staff is helpful and the best part were the decorations of the wall by framing different stories and conversations of the people of Banaras. Location is safe as it is in the resendential area and is equidistant from all the places you would want to visit in Varanasi. The only feedback or suggestion would be to improve on the quality of the room provided.

Beautiful hostel with many beds. There is a roof where you will find toilets and showers. At the reception you can even order some food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Love to visit again. If you need any help, just ask the guy at reception, he is so helpful.

First of all, Drome was fine clean and hygienic and AC was on all the time. One problem was that the washrooms were outside the room that seems to be a problem.Bit it was okay because it was clean and got 24hr hot water. And their cappuccino was damn good In 1 day i had 3 cappuccinos.. yeah overall a good stay at an affordable price i paid 405rs for a one day stay..

Very pleasant stay. Rooms are neatly cleaned for both Private and Shared bookings. Extremely cooperative staff. Location of stay is closer to all main prime tourist places. Total value for money and experience.
