The India Benares is a super comfy, old style hotel with large windows in rooms that open to good street views in the upper category ones. The mattress in my fourth floor room was among the best I have slept on in hotels. The room was quite spacious and all fittings were moderns and functional. It was also spotlessly clean. The breakfast spread at the restaurant was good too. I really liked the lobby of the hotel - old style, large and very elegant. There is also good parking space in front of the hotel and good eateries just 200 - 300 metres away. The ghats are atleast 20 - 30 mins away by autos or taxis , its best to use them rather than take your own car. One would hope though, that the hotel would improve response times for room service and housekeeping - this is the only thing slightly lacking that I noticed

This is totally waste of money , hotel staff donโ€™t know how to talk with guest . They always argued and not ready to listen your problem. I would suggest not to go here ever. Totally waste of time.

Dont even Think of booking this hotel . Services are worse than A Dharamshala. Staffs are unresponsive. reception staff are untrained. Food is inedible. Not even worth Rs.500 a day Thank you

It is a good hotel with nice ambience. Lobby is quite good too together with the dining area. All items tastes great. But service should be improved. During my stay, they were not able to provide hot water even though it was very cold outside. Gyeser was also not working in the room.

Nice place. Food is average. Although my daughter loved the Pasta. Cost of Drinks are through the roof (so an outer arrangement is better). Staff is courteous and helpful. Overall experience is Ok. Can be recommended.

I would suggest not to choose this hotel in this price range at all. Stayed in this hotel for two night and my Experince was not good at all. Swimming Pool: There was no proper information with staff wether the pool is open or not. When I reached to pool it was full of dirt and was not cleaned since many days. When complained about this no one responded. Rooms: Television was not working, even after complain, no one tried to resolve this. During our stay it was in not -working condition. AC: it was getting tripped again and again and could not sleep well in the night. Again after the complain no one tried to reach us. Staff: very poor responsive staff. No one care about the guests. Everyone was just completing their own duties. Overall, I am really dissatisfied with this property.

recently stayed at THE INDIA BENARES and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel was beautiful and had a very traditional Indian feel to it. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the city. The hotel amenities were excellent with a rooftop restaurant and bar that served delicious food and drinks. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a range of options to choose from. One of the standout features of this hotel was the location. It was in the heart of the old city, which meant that I could easily explore the narrow streets and alleys that are famous in Benares. It was also just a short walk from the Ganges River, where I was able to witness the daily rituals and ceremonies that take place along the riverbank. The hotel also organized a boat ride on the Ganges, which was a highlight of my stay. It was a unique experience to see the city from the water and witness the different ghats and temples along the river. Overall, I would highly recommend THE INDIA BENARES to anyone visiting Benares. It's a beautiful hotel with excellent amenities and a perfect location for exploring the city.

Overpriced, 24 hours room service not available, in room dining not available after 11 PM which is violation of star rating guidelines as hotel boast of being a 4 star. Parking is outside hotel premise in open. Breakfast is just a formality, would not recommend to book with breakfast facility, very less items in breakfast buffet and any little request for something like aloo paratha is denied by hotel staff. Overall highly disappointing service for 4 star hotel like.

The Food Quality at the Hotel, be it room service or at the Breakfast Buffet are amazing. They also haslve a Rooftop Swimming Pool, we had Attended a Party there, the ambience there was also very good. Rooms are spacious and upto the mark of a 3-4 star hotel.

Very Decent and pocket friendly hotel. Located just 10 mins away from Varanasi Junction, this Hotel will offer you a comfortable stay with decent room size and good ambience overall. Food was also good. Location of this Hotel is perfect, just 30 mins away from all major spots like Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Ghats, Godowlia, airport. Can be a good option of planning a short trip to Varanasi.

I was there for three days. There was Haldi and sangeet ceremony of my brother and wedding as well. Everything was good but their management is poor. Employees of reception and counter they don't value the customer pay. They will do what make them comfortable for their own business. Very upset by the way they treated.

From entrance to room everything is good to stay Specially cafe 65 and conference room. Parking is available on road side and with limited space. Hotel do not have own parking. Specially in rains you have to carry your umbrella to get in the car.

Hotel doesn't have proper rooms. At first on checkin they provided a smoking room inspite of requesting for a non-smoking room in the reservation. Front desk was helpful enough to change the room and it was low light, no window room. Later again they had to change the room next day to another with a window and some lighting in it. Front desk staff is very helpful, but as such the rooms and hotel stay is not worth the money we spent. I would not recommend this place.

The hotel is average in the sense that the standard and the deluxe rooms are not up to the mark. They have a typical smell always coming in from the rooms. But the family and sweet rooms are good and can be used for a stay. The room services are good. The hotel has a rationing on the bottled water and they plainly refuse you to give sealed water bottles. If you are travelling with kids and infants, then I would suggest that please make necessary arrangements yourself because many of us would not want to give regular and non-sealed bottles to our kids for drinking water. I found it very amusing considering the fact that the hotel is a four star property. The food served at night was below average, but, the breakfast was OK. The breakfast food was fresh and nicely prepared and the spread was OK, if nit great. For an overnight stay, i will recommend the hotel but nothing beyond that. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of the room that I stayed in.

The hotel is nice and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and the place is walking distance from railway station of cantt platform no 9. The service needs to improve by virtue of staff training and promptness of action. It's not a five star ,ร nd even at Taj and Leela , we don't tip people for even bringing an additional water bottle. I mean it looks so embarrassing. Overall a nice stay .

Centrally located reasonably priced magnificent hotel with well appointed rooms, courteous service and tongue tickling experiences in the restaurant. Add the Wow factor to your Benares visit in this home away from home

It's a decent hotel. I liked it. Since it is a Cantt area, it's silent and dull and scary at night coz there are no ppl on the street. Breakfast is good. Liked the menu. Variety of brkfst is good too. You won't regret ur stay here.

Corporate not required. After visiting hotel regularly as corporate client, hotel does not pay heed to 8 year old relationship. They want short term income with no heed to old clients. If you are corporate, you are third grade citizen in this hotel. Visited hotel more than 150-175 times in last few years, in off season too, they seems not interested in regular clients. Services have detoriated in last few years including TV, news paper, food, cleanliness, proper rooms to corporate clients, etc. Find another hotel.
