Highly recommended place to stay. Avoid If you are looking for a fancy place !!! not the place for you! But if you are looking for a comfy ,cozy and clean place this is the place for you. Our journey took us to this beautifully done vintage kind of feel hotel/ rest house. it is in the interiors and situated in the middle of sleepy 100 year old vintage buildings. When we initially walked and pushed ourselves & our big luggages through the hot boiling riotous, dusty and chaotic street of banaras following an elderly gentleman, i did not expect this tiny place tucked away from the chaos of street will take a special place in my memory forever. The next morning when we stepped out, the neighborhood it really caught me by surprise!! As it was a sleepy neighborhood, it reminded me streets of Kolkata. The buildings are exact replicas of houses in any narrow streets of Kolkata. The houses are 100 years old here are pure vintage. And to my astonishment the street is called " Bengali Tola"!! Can you believe that??? So coming back to our comfortable stay in Safarnama. The stay was very good. Especially the staff Raj, pandeji, Bhavesh all of them went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. This kind of kindness is rare. The suggestions I have for them are : please get a exhaust fan fitted in the kitchen. The food pandeji makes is awesome. Get your RO repaired. The dining area needs a little make over. Rest of the staff please never change. You guys rock!!! I would definitely really recommend to everyone, who happen to read this review, if your safar takes you to Banaras, Do try Safarnama and let it get etched in your memories along with the beauty of ghats.

Like most of the properties in Varanasi, this place is small but a hidden gem. It's a nice, cozy and beautifully decorated place. The rooms are small but the stay will be pleasure. The front desk managers and the workers are very helpful and they make you feel comfortable. Walkable distance to the temple and ghats. Breakfast was included in our plan and not much options but whatever they made was good. Overall a must stay place.

Excellent Place to Stay in the Truly Amazing City of Varanasi The entire Staff are super kind, courteous, knowledgeable & helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful and the whole team is super attentive wanting to assure us guests' stay is excellent & comfortable. My room was quite quiet as I did bring some noise cancelling machines which in my opinion are essential when traveling in India. Tours can be organised for guests according to their requests. The location is great especially once one learns the quieter & less crowded walk street routes to the ghats. Varanasi is a very intense place on many levels & I was always so happy to return "home" to my room every evening, sheltered from the chaos of the city.

It was a great stay at Safarnama varanasi. The hospitality and staff were very homely and made more effort to make people feel like home. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. Special thanks to Pandeyji for helping me to navigate the city and for the best breakfast ☺️

This is neat and clean boutique homestay in the centre of varanasi City near to Kashi Vishwanath temple though bit off the main road.The behaviour of staff and owner and service is amazing.We checked in late night with 2 year old child but they guided us well to reach the property and arranged boiled milk and eatables at late hours of night.Special thanks to Pandey ji(Sweet old man). Breakfast was delicious and well served .You won't get buffet but they will serve as you will order.A nice place for short stay at varanasi.

Reception area is too small. They don't have waiting area. So, you can't wait there if you arrive early or during check out. It's a good place to stay compare to other hotels and lodges near Temple. Overall our experience was good.

The owner Mr. Avinav Peshwani is very kind and helpful. The environment is homely. And all the employees are great. Extra stars for Pandiji who looks after breakfast.

Safarnama is really one the best hotel close to Kashi Vishwanath, Dashaswamedh Ghat, Kaal Bhaironath etc. Stay was comfortable. Hassle free Check-in. Neat and clean room. Will stay again when visiting Kashi next time. 😊

Neat and clean space. Staffs are really good. Friendly and homely environment. Cost effective. The property in in heart of the city.the ghats and temple everything is walkie.

So I booked "Deluxe double room", but actually it is a single room with double bed. Cost of which is high compared to some other places in varanasi. The nearest ghat is almost 700-800m away and Kashi vishwanath temple also is far (it's a problem if you are planning to visit the temple or ghat at 3am - lot of dogs). Breakfast is average. No waste bin in room. I didn't feel much welcome there partly because they are more interested in serving foreigners. AC and water heater are good and working.

Though it's not on the main road and the location is bit off.. but the rooms the behavior the staff and the provided service and breakfast was too good. We were on a sudden unplanned trip toVaranasi for 3 days and the manager was so helpful with helping us plan our trip. They even help with conducted tours of themselves and at the help desk there's a big maps charted and hanged with all the ghats and places of interest. Really had a great stay.

Situated close to Godowlia chowk, the main junction towards Dashashwamedh Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath temple and many of the bazaars in Varanasi. The staff was really helpful, though the size of the room was average.

It was My father's childhood house so we have gone to see the house which turned into a guest house. But the owners, residents were very nice, specially the family of Vinod bhaiya. However the guest house looks clean and spacious. We didn't live there but visited the place. Great location.

Great location and clean rooms with good AC. Be mindful you have to walk a couple of minutes to get there as cars are not allowed in this part of town.

Amazing Hotel. After one day walking around Varanasi you must have a confortable and clean Hotel. Big size and confortable bed, AC, very clean shower, excellent service and friendly staff. 10/10!

Rooms were home like clean, cozy.. Location is walkae to Temple, Ghaats; But you cant take your wheels to the hotel as there are No entry restrictions in day time. I guess breakfast options could be increased. Staff is helful.

We recently stayed at Safarnama hotel Varanasi 4 nights . The hotel staff was very helpful and was ready to support us in anything. the room was comfortable, clean and tidy. the AC was working perfectly, and there was hot water at all the time. Breakfast was included in our room price, and though it was modest it kept us going for the day. Panditji, the house-keeper, was amazing. Service oriented, always with a smile, willing to support in anything. especially good in making chai masala, even without sugar... in short, excellent choice for a comfy stay in Varansi, in the middle price range.

Highly recommended, simple and yet classy. Clean beds and toilets, and great location to move around and crash in your room if you want break. It's also affordable and good service too
