Good
and
bad.
I’m
not
much
of
a
fussy
traveler
but
I
did
decided
to
upgrade
my
stays
from
previous
2
and
3
star
hotels
to
have
a
nicer
experience.
It
ended
up
being
close
to
the
same.
The
room
was
nice
so
I’m
happy
about
that.
Breakfast
staff
was
good
too.
Dinner
hardly
paid
any
attention
Ann’s
I
was
the
only
guest.
But
during
my
stay
I
was
asked
to
move
because
“construction”.
There
was
no
construction
and
I
knew
that.
Even
my
guide
knew
that.
Said
they
just
wanted
to
move
me
from
my
room
to
give
to
someone
else.
That
irritated
me.
Just
tell
me
the
truth
then.
I’m
a
solo
traveler
and
a
long
term
traveling
blogger
and
I’ve
never
had
that
happen
to
me.
All
I
wanted
after
exploring
and
taking
in
Varanasi
was
to
relax,
and
as
I’m
on
later
night
calls
(US
timezone)
I
decided
to
come
back
early,
get
some
work
done
and
get
a
good
nights
sleep.
This
turned
into
call
after
call
after
call
(which
I
couldn’t
answer
being
in
US
meetings)
and
was
super
disruptive
to
the
meetings
I
was
in,
followed
by
a
staff
and
manager
coming
up
knocking
on
my
door
interrupting
the
meeting
I
was
leading
anyway,
to
push
me
to
change
rooms.
I
was
checking
out
the
next
day.
I
said
look,
all
I’m
trying
to
do
is
finish
my
work,
enjoy
a
decent
night
sleep
and
check
out.
They
can
have
the
room
then.
After
much
pleading
they
“graciously”,
really
begrudgingly,
allowed
me
to
stay
until
8am.
What
am
I
supposed
to
do
8-11am
when
check
out
is
supposed
to
be?
Sit
around
and
twiddle
my
thumbs.
That’s
not
fair
to
me,
especially
after
late
night
calls.
Finally
I
called
back
and
said
this
isn’t
right.
I’m
a
paying
traveler,
I
did
nothing
wrong
and
I
don’t
like
being
bullied
out
of
my
room.
After
more
arguing
finally
they
said
fine.
Stay
there
until
11am.
Phew.
For
a
two
night
stay
boy
did
I
feel
welcomed
(Sarcasm).
I
don’t
expect
much
from
india,
I’ve
been
warned.
Limited
hot
water,
wifi
constantly
kicks
you
off
and
makes
you
log
back
in
and
it
only
runs
about
1mbps
(not
even
enough
for
a
zoom
call
so
I
had
to
use
my
hotspot,
and
occasional
power
outages
be
warned,
but
to
not
allow
a
paying
customer
the
right
to
stay
in
his
own
room?
That’s
wild
to
me.
Turns
out
it
was
apparently
the
government
that
blocked
the
floor
out,
if
that’s
even
true
and
so
they
had
no
way
of
knowing,
fair
enough
I
guess
and
those
things
do
happen,
but
to
be
honest,
after
being
told
it
was
construction,
etc,
I’m
not
sure
I
can
believe
anything.
I’m
glad
to
have
left.
It
was
fine
to
lay
my
head.
Unfortunately
I
have
no
other
recommendations
to
offer.
I
suppose
roll
the
dice,
worst
case
expect
limited
hot
water,
bad
wifi,
not
the
most
supportive
staff,
some
power
outages,
and
a
good
room
and
you’ll
be
happy.
Good
luck
and
safe
travels!
