Hotel is very near to Ganga and view from this hotel is amazing. Amazing view from private balcony or from the restaurant on the roof top. Hotel location is very near to Kashi Viswanatha Temple, Manikarnia ghat and Dashashwamedh Ghat where Ganga aarti is happens. As the hotel is situated near to Ganga, vehicles are not reachable (same for all hotel near to Ganga). However the walking through the galis are really nice. The place is extremely artistic , affordable and hygienic . Staff is cooperative and hospitable sweat and professional team. Rooms are very clean and the sound proofing system is very efficient in the rooms. Nice decoration. You feel like at home in the heart of the Holi city. Good value for money.

There is really only one place to stay in Varanasi, and this is it. Sitting tall on the river and, with a rooftop restaurant, affording good views of the ghats. The staff were efficient and very helpful, the food was delicious...and my room was a comfortable haven, after busy days.

The location is amazing with a direct access to Ganga and view to Ganga (if you take deluxe rooms ). The big negative is that, there is no vehicle access and most likely you have to walk at least 5-10 minutes through galis. To go to temple you can walk to the riverside. So for those who want a direct access to Ganga this is a great option. The steps to Ganga are really steep though. I won't recommend it for elderly. The food that they give is reasonably good. They claim wifi , but to access it you need to be at reception area.

This review is based on our stay at the place in July, 2022. An average hotel room in Varanasi with low maintenance. You could get unwashed bedsheets from unwashed mats and curtains. The rooms we had was dusty and I started sneezing after using the bedsheets given which was not washed for sure for a long time. Too small bathrooms with no soap but only a towel and 2 sachets of shampoo. Almost all plug points are in bad condition. Kettle given in the room was damaged. Wifi is hardly available. No car would come to the hotel as it's on Ghat. No riksha even . You have to walk to the hotel 500 metres. Don't book a taxi or local guide from them as their charges are not reasonable and very high. Book ola or other taxi service instead. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in Varanasi, please find better hotels with this price or if you particularly are looking for a stay at the Ghats, this could be one of the cheapest and good hotels.

Excellent situation, very close to main ghat to see Ganga Aarti every night, and cremations. Amazing view from private balcony or from the restaurant on the roof top. Very sweat and professional team. Rooms are very clean and the sound proofing system is very efficient in the rooms. Nice decoration. You feel like at home in the heart of the Holi city. Good value for money. The team can help you for train tickets booking. Landry and massage service available. It was my second stay in this guesthouse and I will come back for sure on my next visit. Highly recommended. Thanks.

Being an old property in the congested lanes of old Varanasi, there are some constraints which are unsurmountable. Room size and construction is one such constraint. But the property is neat and clean with a good amount of greenery in the central square. Washrooms are also clean with geysers and showers. A kettle with tea and coffee making kits is provided. Management should consider having white bedsheets and single color blankets. The best part of this property is the location which is exactly on the Ghat. You get to see the plying boats in Ganga ji, all through the day and sunrise on the other side of the river is a sight to behold.

We have stayed for one week at this hotel. Stepping through the hotel entrance , I was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area .The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Varansi . Will be back to this place soon..!!!

The property has many things going for it - 1) Location - very proximate to Vishwanath Mandir and Dasaswamedh Ghat. You can get to Kaal Bhairav, and Kedar Ghat by walk in 15-20 mins. 2) Balcony and Rooftop restaurant facing the Ganges - you could sit there for hours reading or talking 3) Friendly staff, although a bit accustomed to serving foreign travellers, and 4) The restaurant is good too, and serves freshly cooked meals. I booked this place just a few days ahead of Dev Deepavali, so ended up paying a heavy price for the last available room, but I wasn't disappointed.

The USP of this guest house is the location. It is located right on the Ganga ghaat and some of the rooms offer a view of the river as well. They have a rooftop restaurant which serves great food. Sipping tea overlooking the mighty Ganga river is truly an overwhelming experience. The staff is polite and friendly. However, the USP is also a major restriction to reaching the guesthouse. No vehicle can reach directly. One has to debus and walk from Godowlia Chowk. Some of the rooms are very small and can make you feel suffocated. Pay special attention before booking the rooms. Am amazing stay overall.

First of all, we did not received the rooms shown in the catalog. Our room was in a different building beside the main building (the guest house on ghat). But the rooms were OK. Ganga view was still available (though not in full gauge). Service is OK. The attendant was very cordial. Everyday 2 mini bottles were in every guests' quota. Water pressure in bathroom basin tap was a drag. We had to work with the other taps.

Stayed there with my parents. The location is so convenient to the temple and the river and all the traditional Banaras eating areas, as long as you can walk. The entire staff was very helpful and took a great care of my parents. Special mention to Kanhaiya for the wheelchair support he provided to my mom and that made her entire trip so comfortable. Mr Pandey was an excellent manager. He even made special arrangements to give a room with a balcony and a river view. My mom was able to access the room without climbing any stairs. would love to visit again in future!!

Very nice hotel with friendly service. Welcoming and friendly staff. Location is very good . The hotel is on ghat so in the morning and evening sitting in balcony , Ghat view is mesmerizing. The food was excellent garma garam ( hot and ready ) Rooms are nicely traditionally decorated with local artifacts which I loved it All I can say when I go to Kashi , can directly call them and book the rooms without looking for any other place .

The location of the hotel is very nice. It’s just at the bank of River Ganges. The rooms are bit small because it’s an old property. Otherwise the hotel is very nice. The staffs are very cooperative with gentle behaviour.

The best place in Varanasi. Nestled near the ghats and temple. So much you can do on foot from here. Have stayed here 3 times and I love the 180 degree view of the Ganges. Food has been very good too.

Hotels is just close to ghat, this also mean you need to walk for atleast 10 mins to reach. Food was tasty nd freshly prepared. Overall hotel is good. Few things which i don't like Late night (after 10 pm) service even water is hard to get. Chekin was not very smooth as asked for the ID proofs specially aadhar for all the adults. I requested to take the aadhar for main booking person at Chekin and others later but refused. Little bit frustrating for family (including senior citizen, children ) as we already traveled 12-14 hours.

Charmingly cozy and beautiful place. The staff is friendly, responsive, sincere. The restaurant has delicious lassi and masala chai. The hotel space is superbly organized and tastefully decorated. There is an observation deck upstairs and nice enough places to sit outside the room. The hotel is much bigger than it looks from the outside. This is a clean quiet village inside a big city. Highly recommend.

Great Location! It is located just two minutes away from the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The hotel offer excellent views of the Ganga River and the Ganga Ghats. The rooms are clean and the food is good. Staff is very hospitable and friendly. I will surely recommend this place to tourists.

Lovely Hotel, we even had monkey in our balcony with beautiful Gangas view, location is the best to get mystical atmosphere of the city! They have a lovely restaurant and room service very cheap prices, best mango juice in the world. Although, very not clean in the bathroom, bed is not comfortable, terrible water flow and water is only cold. Air-conditioning isn't working properly and it's super hot in Varanasi.

The rooms are fine and service is tolerable. My issue is with the location. I was traveling with my mother who is elderly and can't climb stairs. This place was incredibly hard for her. There were so many stairs to climb that she was totally exhausted. The cashier Prajapati was completely insensitive to her plight. We had to book another hotel for her but we had to prepay everything upfront at Ganapati guest house. So, it was kind of a double whammy for us. Avoid at all costs if you are traveling with the elderly.

Nice and clean rooms. Very well located and helpful staff. While you are there, meet Rama. He is a sweet man that works at the hotel with therapies such as yoga, reiki and acupressure. This was one of the best parts of our stay in Varanasi. His acupressure is fantastic and he gives really good tips for your health and well-being. Breakfast at the terrace is not included but you should try it! The waiters are nice and the breakfast is tasty. The wifi is pretty terrible though. We had a work meeting and it was never possible to join Overall, great experience but make sure you can disconnect from work meetings.

Stayed for three nights in September 2022. Positives: 1) Decent place. 2) Breath taking views of River Ganga. 3) A roof restaurant with cool breeze blowing from the river. 4) Very close to Gate 2 of Viswanath Mandir. 5) There is a music school next door. Soothing music during the evenings. Negatives: 1) Water from the shower water comes in a trickle. 2) Wi-Fi keeps dropping off constantly. Had to request the front desk persons multiple times for this.

The guest room are very neat and tidy. Decent room size and Food at their resturant is also good . The location is walkable to Kashi Vishwanath temple. The best part is it is situated on the banks of ganga and the view from the window and terrace is amazing . Loved watching the sunrise around 6:00 a.m .

Awesome location on the banks of Ganges. Divine and esthetic walls and serene atmosphere of the hotel. Humble staff. Great grandeur and postive vibration in the hotel.

he room was great - with windows and a large terrace with table and chairs, and even a swing, facing the Ganges. The hotel is working through post-pandemic repairs, so there are things they simply haven't noticed yet that need fixing. But the moment you point them out, manager Chiku gets a repairman on the line, and/or heads to a shop to buy the new item. Chiku even changed the lights for us from cool to warm bulbs, and got an electrician in to replace a faulty light. That is priceless! The bathrooms are, as reported by others, sans exhaust fan, so high humidity is present, with all that entails, but for a reasonably priced room right on the Ganges, with such great staff, that was a small issue. As the hotel is in a "pedestrian only" area, it's worth booking the hotel's very reasonably priced airport transfers, as then you get help getting your luggage to and from where cars are allowed, without having to navigate the 15-minute jaunt by smartphone while trying to dodge fragrant offerings left by dogs and cows, and getting nearly overrun by worshipers trying to get past you to get to one of the riverside ghats (steps) for a ceremony.

We stayed for 2 days and 1 night in this property in the month of Aug 2022. Pros - Location : The hotel is situated on Meer Ghat. 5mins to 8mins away from Dashaswamedh Ghat, Vishwanth Dham Ghat, Nepali Temple, Manikarnika Ghat. All these Ghats are connected. - Friendly Staff - Artistic ambiance (200 yrs old property), vibrant colors and paintings - Great view of the Ganga from the balconies, and roof top. - Affordable - Its a peaceful place as it is situated on the Ghat and "no entry zone". - Music school next to the hotel - loved listening to the tabla while enjoying our cup of tea from the the roof top. Cons - We stayed in Room No: 7 . The room had a strong musty and damp smell. - Room was dingy - Bathroom didn't have an exhaust / ventilation - all the steam from the hot shower went to the room. - The bed linen was dusty and not clean. Overall room was not inviting. - We had a small mice in our room - which they were unable to remove. - The locker didn't work - The hotel is situated in a "no entry" zone. So be prepared to WALK A LOT Tip : Choose a room facing the Ganga. Best season to visit is between Nov to Feb.
