Disappointing Stay: Rude Staff, Poor Service, Inaccessible Location and Small, Windowless Rooms My parents recently stayed at this hotel, and their experience was far from pleasant. The staff's attitude was disappointingly rude, which set a negative tone for their entire stay. The service quality left much to be desired, with numerous issues left unresolved. The rooms were cramped and lacked windows, creating a claustrophobic atmosphere. This, coupled with poor management, resulted in a frustrating experience overall. It's essential for hotels to prioritize guest comfort and satisfaction, and sadly, this establishment fell short in many ways. I would strongly advise exploring other accommodation options in the area for a more enjoyable and hassle-free stay.

I had booked this hotel for my mother who was travelling alone to Varanasi and the process was as smooth as it could have been. The services offered by the hotel staff were amazing. I had contacted Mr. Gyanendra and booked the hotel and taxi only after talking to him. He gave us the most genuine advice and helped us in the best possible way. I am grateful to have connected with him and would recommend this hotel everyone.

It's down a backstreet but I was pleasantly surprised when we came across it. The rooms were hot even with A/C on and the beds were very hard. Breakfast was basic but it was a good price in total. Staff were friendly, so all in all, it was fairly ok. It will a very close to the Ganges which is where you need to be.

We had a very good experience during our stay. All the staffs are very well mannered, rooms are neat, clean, large enough with additional self service facilities such as small refrigerator, 2 complimentary water bottles, washroom were also large and neat and clean, good restaurant to try food. Sonu ji at the reception is very humble and helpful. We are so overwhelmed by the service whenever we will visit Varanasi for sure we will book our stay @ Rivera Palace. Thank you so much for great hospitality and management. Kudos to each and every working staffs.šŸ¤—

Budget friendly hotel. Location is right next to the Mata Anandmayi Ghat which is just a minute walk from the hotel, hence accessibility to the other ghats is easy. The accessibility to the hotel is a bit off the main road so one has to walk a few mins to reach. We stayed for 4N/5D The staff was very helpful and friendly. FnB manager Mr. Vinod was serving us with a smile through out our 4 day stay. The front desk staff Mr. Sonu and Mr. Gyanendra were also extremely warm and courteous hence the check in and check experience was seemless! Food was yummy as well, we had a Breakfast included package. They serve breakfast from 8.30am to 10.30am Housekeeping staff Ashish and Gokul were helpful as well! Overall a nice experience, budget friendly, clean rooms and good food!

We (a family of 3) visited Varanasi in Dec and stayed in this hotel for four nights. The room was comfy for winter weather. The bathroom was quite big. The room size (deluxe room) is a bit small for three adults, but we managed it without any issue. For hot water, need to call the reception to turn the heater on and then one should wait for 5-10 min to get proper hot water. Overall the stay was smooth. We also took the boat ride service for Ganga Arati Darshan through the hotel. Compared to other agencies, they charged quite fairly and the boatman picked up and dropped us at the hotel.

The main attraction of this hotel is its restaurant food and services. Excellent food prepared by the chef Amit Gupta and served by Dharambeer Kumar during the dinner is mentionable. Exceptional quality of hospitality shown by the staff including the night duty manager Mr Ankit. The hotel is quite near the river. The room that we stayed in somehow needs modernisation, especially the bathroom. The cleaning staff are also very good.

Nice experience overall! Everyone was very nice and had a lot of recommendations. The room was spacious, had a great window and was pretty clean! Varanasi during monsoon season gets a bit muddy and it was nice to have a clean place to stay. Lastly, I recommend doing your laundry here because it was done very professionally!

Very very bad experience, very costly and no service at all, we reached hotel and the receptionist Sonu was very rude, even if I asked for small things he said it is management decisions i cannot do anything, I don't know what is wrong with this hotel, asking me that if I had an earlier conversation and to show him the Recording???? I would suggest don't visit this hotel if you don't want to spoil your trip...only the room service was fine.

Loved the hotel and the helpful nature of the manager and the staff. The GM was really helpful and patient in answering our questions and guiding our overall sightseeing experience. The rooms themselves are very nice and clean. The bathroom could have been slightly better, it was mostly clean and painted well but it could have been slightly more neater looking. The travel costs arranged by them also could have been slightly lower, they could have given us a better discount but it was still very good. The food was absolutely delicious! It came as a surprise for me. I wasn't expecting the food to be of such 5-star quality! Their naans, pastas and all other dishes were simply excellent! Both the managers were good. The manager Dijay was also really very supportive and always smiling and polite to the guests. Loved the service there and we look forward to staying there again in the future. Highly recommend this place to all.

Stay was comfortable. Entry from main road was bit disappointing. But later we realized it is common here. Staff is polite helpful. We being seniors they were cooperating. Of course there's scope for improvement..we are happy to spend 8days here .

Rooms are pretty good as per price!šŸ™ Yes.. breakfast is available but it's pathetic in taste. Pros- it's walking distance from assi Ghat. Room is clean and good Washroom is spacious Budget friendly Cons 1. Breakfast is not good at all 2. Staff hardly smiles and are not courteous 3. Some staff is money minded n will not help u n charge u extra . Basically it is a no frills stay . Also if u book directly their behaviour is diff and if u book through make my trip they hardly care

The service is excellent, rooms are good. They also have their own river facing guest house which has excellent views. There is an extensive morning buffet with a lot of options. The location is also proper, however, you need auto rickshaw or other means of transport to go the main temple or other ghats. Jain ghat and assi ghat is walking distance.

The rooms were nice and pretty clean and the food tasted good. However, room service was often slow and it took almost 35 minutes to get a flask of tea. The staff did however cooperate after our grievances were heard. The hotel is located within a narrow, dirty alley, making the entrance seem less than appealing, but the distance to the river and the ghats was hardly 200m and the hotel's relative location within the city made it a decent stay overall.

This is a mean hotel. All services are overpriced. They own their own taxi and try to get you to use it exclusively. Overpriced. They charged 3750 for 30 pieces of laundry including 12 pieces of undies and socks. That's $75 Australian. The hot water is turned off during the day. They overcharge for booking boat trip. If we had found our own boatman it would have cost about 600Rs the hotel charged 1500. A mean hotel that just cares about money not their guests. Do not stay here.

Very homely atmosphere. All the staff members were very helpful. Must mention the name of Vijay who is in the dining section. He is always ready to help and that too with a broad smile. Due to the close proximity of the buildings, you may not find a balcony in the room. But the other amenities and service of the hotel staff will simply make you overlook the minor drawbacks, if at all any. I would highly recommend everyone this hotel. Lastly, not to forget their food. Just simply amazing. If you have elderly family members along with you, then they will make customised cuisine for you.

Thank you Hotel Rivera for your exceptional service and hospitality. I loved your service, all the staffs were very friendly and reliable. I am definitely coming back to Hotel Rivera Palace when Iā€™m visiting Varanasi. PS: Me and my family loved your Butter Chapati!

Well located, decent hotel. Spacious and clean rooms - food is also good. But what I liked most is the behavior of staffs - polite and very helpful! Definitely recommended.

The place, staff and the location is excellent! Best of all is the amazing service provided by each and every staff member of the hotel starting from reception desk to every staff members. They are so helpful. The food preparation is fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a midrange price accommodation in Banaras.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Service and behavior of the staff is excellent. Quality and items of complementary breakfast is the cause of satisfaction. Foods in restaurant is tasty and good in quality. We are totally satisfied and will suggest and recommend to stay over here while visiting Viswanathji temple.

Terrible hotel - AVOID AT ALL COST - DO NOT GO BY THE 3-STAR TAG IN GOOGLE. This is probably the worst hotel I've been to so far. RUDE BEHAVIOUR, DIRTY ROOMS, FREQUENT POWER CUT, JUDGEMENTAL STAFFS - THIS IS WHAT DESCRIBES THIS HOTEL. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THAT IT'S JUST 2 MINS WALKING DISTANCE FROM GANGES GHAT. APART FROM THAT THERE'S NO REASON TO CHOOSE THIS PLACE. They made us wait for more than one hour and then gave us a room on the second floor which is probably a service room. The door lock doesn't work and makes weird sound every time the lift goes up or down. Even after multiple requests they didn't change our room. They do not allow outside food and instead misbehaved with us when we tried to bring food late night when their restaurant was closed. All in all, pls avoid this one and look for better hotels.

My family and I recently visited Varanasi and we stayed at Riviera Palace Hotel. I have to tell you the experience in Vanarashi was amazing and the service of the hotel was satisfactory. All the staffs were mannered, especially the manager Gayanendra. He has taken proper care of our necessities and managed all the local tours making our holidays memorable. Loved the experience!

Stay is very comfortable and staff is also very cooperative, they allow us early check-in without any extra cost (as the rooms were available that time) moreover, rooms are also very good, overall very nice experience. Must appreciate to Mr. Rahul (Manager), he is very supportive and good behavior person.

It's a good little place. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Rooms not too bad. On Agoda it was advertised as with Garden View but didn't see any Garden close by even. The biggest issue was no access for car so you have to walk from main road with all your luggage unfortunately. Not far from Ganga Ghat. You can walk to Ghat in less than 10 minutes. Food is not bad either. Highly recommended but may be not very suitable for international travelers. For international travelers certainly do not go with too much expectations. Staff certainly very helpful and do everything they could to make your experience pleasant.

If you search for a good hotel in Varanasi, choose Hotel Rivera Palace. The rooms are very neat and clean and easily accessible to ghat within walking distance. The food is very tasty and special thanks to Gyanendra.

Excellent stay. Staff was very helpful especially Gyanendra at the reception. True to his name he has lot of knowledge about the surroundings and will definitely help you with whatever you require. Hotel is located at a very peaceful place and extremely close to one of the smaller ghats which is clean and one can have their bath peacefully without any interference from the anyone asking for alms.

Dear Tourists, I recently stayed at this establishment for two nights (1 & 2 December 2023) and now have a profound understanding of what hell might feel like. If you're interested in experiencing it yourself, feel free to stay here for at least one night. The decision was based on online pictures, which turned out to be misleading. The property owner may suggest I sought extra privileges, leading to this negative experience, but I want to clarify that I didn't request any undue advantage; this is simply my honest impression. In summary, go ahead and book this hotel to fully experience all the "facilities" of hell. May God bless you.
