The Hotel location is amazing just over the Ghats and the Ganges. The staff were friendly and helpful. But reaching the Hotel Location is a bit challenge as you need to walk 10 mins through narrow lanes and then take some steps to reach the Hotel. The walk through the lanes and stairs adds to the old world Varanasi charm but is a big challenge if you are traveling with senior citizens.

Staff was extremely polite and helpful on our arrival. Though the approach to the hotel was through narrow winding lanes - in keeping with Varanasi character - situated on the ghat made it bliss: loveliest view! The effort of walking was well worth it..

We got cheated and rs 2000 advance not refunded. No transparency for booking. We called the hotel people.. Mr manoj and enquired about walking distance. I mentioned my mother is old and can't walk, he said only 5 mins walk. But it is not so. Not at all suitable for senior Citizens...Long distance walk from main road and few uneven steps to climb down to reach hotel entrance. Once we somehow reached the hotel, Me and my mother only two ladies visiting Varanasi, so decided she can't walk and also midnight to go for temple darshan not safe for ladies to walk in that street and she can't even walk so long, we told them we don't want to check-in. Didn't even look at the room and with lot of difficulty searched another hotel Ganges Grand near the temple and we went there. Hardly 30 mins we waited in the hotel reception to call and enquire with other hotels. MR manoj was there didn't help in anyway seeing two ladies, even when I told our problem of walking to the hotel and my aged mother can't manage, enquired if any other hotel is there, no help from him. They helped to carry luggage that's it. Next day when i enquired refund mr manoj said he will enquire with accountant etc.. With lot of Follow up and after 5 days I got partial refund only. Not that their hotel was in great demand and they would have given that room to Someone. It was totally vacant and next day when i enquired mr manoj concurred. We were never told that they will withhold advance amount if we didn't occupy the room. Location is a big NO inspite of Ganga View how will we manage walking and later i read many reviews that rooms are dirty too. So good that i didn't stay here but was cheated of rs 2000 without even informing me in advance of their policy. I strongly do not recommend this hotel or this kind of people.this experience left a bad memory of Kashi.. All other experiences of darshan and people of Banaras and hotel Ganges grand was excellent.

Nice property located in Chausatti ghaat. Though one has to traverse the famous galis of Varanasi (Around 500 mtrs) to reach there or one has to travel on the ghaats (which is tough if your with luggage). Hotel has elevator so it's a good place if you don't like stairs. They have an amazing rooftop cafe with panoramic views of the Ganges. But I found only egg in the non-veg option which was sad for me (and food is also on the costly side) but you be you and If one is willing to traverse the ghaats or gali to reach there then Hotel Sita is a recommended place to stay. It's mere steps away from Aarti sthal in daswashamedh ghat. But if your taking any transport (car or boat) do it directly and dont book through reception as they charge extra for their services. Overall it was a nice stay.

If u only want GHAT location, go for it. Not advisable for senior citizens at all. Staff is co operative but hotel needs total refurnishing. Food was good but it is lacking professional services like hotel. Restaurant is running by non hotel staff, looks as if not running. Approach road to hotel is very dirty and very thin walkway is available. No vehicle ,not even ricksha can go inside.

Best place for stay near the ghats in Varanasi! It’s adjacent to Dasasamedh ghat. Staffs are very cordial and helpful. You can check at the reception for Mr. Rajesh ji for temple tours and also saree shopping. You can also enjoy the evening at restaurant which is situated at rooftop of this hotel where you can have a beautiful view of Ganga Ghats..

If I could give -10 zero stars, I would. Place is a dirty construction site with no running water. Hope they can fix it. It's best to pull it down and start again. It's not fit for customers, we had to leave.

Varanasi is very special to me and my wife as it is a spiritual place and Hotel Sita is that point from where we start our spiritual journey. Here we feel undisturbed, safe and homely. Mr. Sourav the owner of this hotel is a very nice person and all staffs are very well mannered and helpful . We are staying in this hotel since 2014. Last year I sent two thousand rupees as advance for room booking but couldn't go to Varanasi as my elder sister died but when I reminded them they gladfully checked it and adjusted the total money without any hesitation. Here stands the faith which is rare today. Mr. Rakesh Singh who is in Sita next to Mr. Sourav is an outstanding person and guide with immense knowledge about Varanasi and it's outskirts. We are friends now. Excellent view from front rooms and roof-top restaurant where you may sit and feel the essence of Varanasi if you don't want to move much. Remember I am just a traveller like you πŸ™. Debdutta Das Kolkata

They guided me well to reach their hotel to which the approach is not simple and straight. They had excellent local guide who offered onine personalised services. The room is simple and nothing fancy about it. The food was good in the terrace restaurant and they offered room service too. The cost of the room could be keep lower considering that its very basic rooo

Tbh the property is charging just for the location. U can actually sit & enjoy the river ganga. Again if u have knee problems avoid any hotel on the ghat , bcz toto/auto/ car can't reach the place because of famous banaras ki galia. The room is clean but small according to what i am paying. They have a lift which is a relief for me. Hospitality is good.

Good place to stay on the banks of Ganga river, have wonderful and polite staff taking care of your every request. Reasonably price looking at location of the hotel. Big rooftop to sit and have a view of Ganga river. Must mention about the food at the restaurant was very good, they have mix of local cuisine and other regular ones. Parathas during breakfast were also good. All in had a good experience, will recommend to stay in Hotel Sita while touring Varanasi.

Pros: 1. It's right on Chausatti ghat and you can view the Ganges from your room . 2. The hotel staff is really nice and friendly. 3. They can arrange boat rides, car, Puja & darshan if you ask at the reception. 4. Great view from the rooftop restaurant 5. They have people to help you with your luggage Cons: 1. Rooms could be a little cleaner considering the tariff 2. The restaurant is a bit overpriced Lastly: you need to walk 600 mts from jammu Kashmir bank through narrow alleys or if you want to access the hotel from the ghats then you need to climb some steep stairs. Though it's absolutely fine for young people, older folks may find it difficult. Overall: great stay

Good location, friendly staff and decent size room. It's relatively clean and provide a nice breakfast too. Price is reasonable. The room that I stayed in has a view to River Ganga. If you are looking for a reasonably priced and decent place to stay, I would definitely recommend this place.

If you need a hotel overlooking Ganges then this is the one. Extremely value for money. Bathrooms were clean and room was reasonable sized. However overall hotel needs a revamp, as there are plaster coming off many places. You have to go through typical narrow lanes of bananas to reach this place.

This hotel is awesome as far as the location is concerned. It was my second stay here and I loved it. The staff is very warm and helpful. The food is quite good. The only problem is that the rooms aren't maintained with par to the tariff taken. I would really request the hotel owners to maintain the rooms a little better. And with everything apart, this is the best place on the Ganges ❀️

The hotel managent is worst, they try to optimise their cost by shutting of Room ACs and claiming power fault. They will also shut the lift in the pretence of power fault. Senior citizens stay away. This hotel has a huge problem of approach road. One needs to manouvre huge stretch of narrow confusing lanes in order to reach the hotel from city, making it difficult for senior citizens. The other option is walk via the ghats but that means climbing up and down huge steep stone stairs. The rooms they call superior or maharaja , have tiles breaking and falling. LIZARDS and INSECTS are there everywhere. The toilets and the bathtubs are very dirty. With hair clogged in places. They do not provide complimentary water bottles or toiletries. For Television viewing you will meed to recharge the cable yourself as none of the cable tvs are recharged. You will get toileteries only soap only if u ask for it. And the soap is small tablets which wont serve u any purpose. Their restraunt is the worst, incase u order something you will get it after minimum 2 hrs. And I got tea and pakoras in 2 hrs. My family had to skip meals in order to avoid this harrasement.Later I endes up ordering via Zomato and Swiggy. If you ask for cleaning the room and take away the used utensils , then for that too you need to wait for half a day. Superior family room AC doesnt work infact there are open naked wiring which is giving sparks , risking guests life due to electric shock. Its just a thug money looting enterprise . They will promise you a motor boat for Rs 1500 and last minute they will say motor boat is unavailable and ask u to use a manual boat which wont take you to all the places promised. I have been in cheaper hotels with way better ethics and service. Please stay away or regret your decision which will ruin your stay in the holy city. Donot go by the river view , because you wont be enjoying the view if everything else in unlivable. Donot take any of their additional services like boat or temple visit. Its all a ripoff. Every step they need money and more money. Rather manage these things yourself. If your approach road is not proper why will u ask money for helping with luggage ? Its your duty to help the guest with such services free of cost.

We stayed there three nights in highest tariff room 'Maharaja executive' in August 2022. In comparison to room tariff room sizes are small and services are average, example- for 7000 room price they only give soap as toiletry. However location is very good as the hotel is situated on the Chousatti ghat and easily accessible to Dasaswamedh ghat by walking through ghats. Although reaching to the hotel is a challenge, it is 10 minutes walk through narrow gully and lots of stairs involved, not good for elderly people, but if you want to enjoy ganges view you may visit this hotel. Hotel has their own rooftop cafeteria with marvelous Ganges view, food quality is good, but again price rate are much higher. They also have chain marketing system from guide to boating, puja, arati darshan, saree shopping and what not. All of their guides are sweet talker and helpful, but you may not need them. Try to arrange transportation through running auto or totos for sightseeing. Two days are enough to visit the city properly.

The Hotel location is amazing just over the Ghats and the Ganges. The staff were friendly and helpful. You will need to walk 10 minutes from the main road through narrow lanes and then take some steps to reach the Hotel but that's also is an wonderful experience. Hotel will send their boys to pick your luggage hence no problem at all and when you reach the hotel there is a new world waiting for you. Worth visiting if you are coming with your family. The rooms are facing the river Ganga and the hotel also has a rooftop cafΓ© which serves delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. Rakesh ji acted excellently as our local guide and helped to see all the places in Varanasi. This place is definitely a very good place to stay. And looking forward to visit again.

The hotel is located right on the gates of Ganga. The view is very pretty but I don't think it's worth all the trouble. The hotel is not accessible by any vehicle. You have to walk through very tight lanes which are very claustrophobic and dirty. The service and the hotel is HORRIBLE. Once we arrived at the hotel our rooms weren't ready and when we got the rooms the bathroom was still dirty and the sheets were also stained. They couldn't even provide a bottle of water on one request. We had to keep asking them. On top of all this the availability of food is a big problem. The restaurant at the hotel doesn't have any food. You have to give them order ours before and they have only a few items available and that also doesn't taste good. The guide Rakesh Singh was very nice and helpful. He gave us a proper tour of Varanasi. I would advice not to stay at this hotel or any hotel near the ghat. It's a lot of work to travel to all the other places.
