A nice place to stay and a nearest place to Lord Shri Kashi Viswanath's Temple on Godowalia Road next to Nandhi Chowk in the vicinity of Dasaswamedh Ghat Road in the holy city of Varanasi

This hotel is at a convenient location near Gowdhulia crossing. It takes just 5 minutes' walk to reach main gate of the Mandir. Deluxe room is a bit small but with standard amenities like TV, A.C. and attached bath with geyser. There is an in-house kitchen which supplies food by room service. Room does not have any ventilation. Window cannot be opened. We had to keep the bathroom door open to let some air in. Most of the popular TV channels including free channels and DD-national are not available. Geyser is remotely controlled by hotel management. One has to call reception or house-keeping to switch on the geyser. Even then, geyser in our bathroom did not work at all. Repeated requests to fix it yielded no result and we had to manage with one bucket of hot water everyday for 4 days, supplied by house-keeping. The owners acknowledged the problems and are hopeful to resolve them soon.

Such poor pathetic hotel. Bas foul smell everywhere in hotel and room was super worst. All taps leakage. AC dint worked the entire stay. Poor service from staff .

We stayed here for around 4 days. We booked the hotel from Oyo and thought it would be a standard hotel. Pros The rooms are nice and cozy. The staff is cooperative It is around 10 mins walk from the ghat Cons The management is extremely bad. Lift didnt work for 1 day. The breakfast was good for 2 days. They served horrible alu paratha on the last day. They even turned off the AC in our rooms because it was our last day there. We booked 3 rooms. TV didnt work in one room.

Truly horrific experience. The hotel runs a scam. They will pretend to accept your Oyo bookings but upon arrival will charge you extra money, and trick you into believing that they don't accept Oyo bookings despite confirming the same several times over phone. We booked our rooms 2 weeks prior to arrival and during the interim called the hotel at least 3 times to confirm all details. We were still denied the room at the decided price (they refused to accept they even talked to us over phone despite us having call recordings of the same). Meanwhile Oyo's customer care did little to take action against the owner's extremely unprofessional and loatheworthy attitude. Despite over 3 complaints they were unable to find us a replacement or do something about the situation. The hotel has nothing to offer accept a really convenient location. Overall it was a really bad start to an otherwise good vacation with both the hotel and Oyo at fault. We eventually had to find a different place to stay at.

My experience with Hotel The Garden Inn was harrowing. If you are travelling with your family & friends to Varanasi Godowlia City Centre very close to Kashi Vishwanath Temple & Dasaswamedh Ghat then I would not suggest you to stay in this HOTEL using OYO or any other Hotel Booking Application because then you only will make your spiritual tour terrible. No staff available for room service. The hotel is totally depend on Self Service. If you book using OYO application then they will not allow and ask to cancel the booking.

Very much satisfied with the service. Especially the staff was cooperative and didn't meddle with asking for unnecessary details. Will definitely consider next time I shall travel to Kashinagri.

Worst experience. Filthy room was offered to us on the first day on the 4th floor. Whole night we couldn't sleep , since the room seems to be like a heat chamber. We tried for AC , but was not giving cold/chilled air. Later on many requests on the next day , they changed our rooms to 2nd floor. We received bad behavior of the guy in the office for saying about the problems of the given 4th floor room (402) . Similar AC condition was also in the 2nd floor. Family beside our room was also complaining on AC of similar issue. There are also issues on the construction of the building on the roadside portion of the building. The floor of the corridor has moved slightly down towards the wall and a nearby pillar is cracked deeply. It seems to be too dangerous . Just lying down the good looking tiles doesn't meant to solve the major problem. Television didn't work in our rooms. Wi-Fi was present all the day. The geyser in our second 2nd floor room is full of rust. My last word is that , why are the management not renovating the building , instead throwing extra charge on AC and quite pricy rooms?( since it is near the Godowlia Crossing ? ) May you update the above issues , and post it on the review chart for our next visit to Varanasi. "Good service , cooperative staff and good facilities" staffs are freindly, U can choose to stay. It is best for all age people.

Overall experience was good. Fair price. It is very near to prime location of the city Rooms were clean and staff was good.

If u r visiting Kashi it can be a convenient, because its very bear to Visheanatha temple and main ghats. U can just walk. But not the best. Rooms r good enough. I can't say very clean. Bathroom is too narrow, specially wash basin is almost not reachable or u have to squeeze yourself to use it. Breakfast was complimentary but u will have Aloo Parota and poori only two options. I end up eating Aloo Paratha all 4 days. If u t going out for lunch and dinner then its fine. Otherwise there is no restaurant in this hotel. Staffs r good and polite. Good drinking water is provided.

The location is a great advantage as it's in the centre. An old hotel with acceptable level of comfort for a short stay.
