First is that the accommodation was extremely clumsy with a queen size bed for a three member family..The room did not have any space to move around..Next is that the bathroom door is sliding without any locking system from inside. Room service is extremely poor. It takes almost one hour to get a proper normal Tea to be served in the room. Each and every linen in the dinning hall has not been washed for months and flies were served free..AC was hardly kept on and water used to come out of it. Electricity was a severe issue even when the generator was there. Moreover the cost per day was extremely high ..This hotel doesn't deserve to be considered for staying.

It is better not to consider it as a hotel. Extremely Overpriced. Rooms are outdated, stained walls. Small size room is allotted to 3 adults. Bathroom is equally small, door doesn't have a lock to bolt from inside. Hotel is Aesthetically poor though parking is available. Hotel staffs are more busy in covering up the loopholes in service rather than plugging the same. Still regret to ruining my vacation.

Bad- There were so many insects and lizards all over. The location of the hotel is near some slum areas and the surroundings are very dirty. Basic amenities were not provided. Please do not stay here unless you have budget constraints. Good- Breakfast was good, nothing other than that was good.

Replies are lies.. Hotel did not even bother to come and check what did happen in that night.. We all suffered.. My father is 82 year old man and i hope we can understand at this age people do loss the capacity to negotiate or fight so he is not in picture.. Yes I only told to give 50℅ discount if ac' are not functional in reply they told to vacate the room. I paid full amount INR16000 + plus 1300 for food... I do have receipt for same.. They do threatened us time of check out and now of defamation.. My friends please see the attitude of hotel.

The stay in May2023 was okay. Would have rated higher because of the location, Ganges view and helpful Mr Madan Mohan Pandeya but for the lack of maintenance - hot water supply disruptions, broken latches, water drops from the AC (and dumpyard right behind). And they reqd Mr Pandeya's intervention, staff quite helpless. The options in the breakfast menu were few, no eggs (veg hotel) or idlis or anything other than the same aloo paratha, puri-sabji and sandwiches - becomes a bit boring for week long stay. However the food homely and tasty, and staff friendly. Rooms were clean, but no toiletries (except soap) in a deluxe room and no hooks in the bath for clothes was inconvenient. Non-veg restaurants nearby (Champaran - not so good & Old Delhi - new and very good). Autos, totos and hired car options for touring the city and outskirts (Ramnagar, Sarnath etc) can be arranged with their help. The morning aarti at Assi ghat (5am) is visible from the 3rd floor gallery.

We booked hotel temple on ganges on the basis of reviews that we read online .Though we went there with zero expectations but returned to Delhi leaving a family back at the Hotel . We checked into the hotel on 3rd jan 2023 (afternoon) and checked out on 7th (morning) and the entire staff ,including the owner Madan Mohan made us feel like we were at home . My family and I fell sick ,Madan Mohan himself came to check on us ,asked his staff to give us ajwain ka paani (which worked like a magic potion) . Verma uncle (auto driver ) took us to the iconic places of varanasi and made us cover them in a day ! we started from hotel at 4:30 AM and by 8:30 we were done with our visit to the iconic places . You will be able to see Assi ghat from the verandah and terrace of the hotel . The food is very homely and the staff goes out of the way for you . The hotel rooms and bathrooms were clean which is a major concern for most of the travellers. Even if a girl wishes to take a solo trip ,you can opt for this hotel. Our train got delayed ,they let us keep our luggage at their dinning room so that we could go out and walk on the ghats (Assi ghat is just a 2 min walk from the hotel ) . Half of the hotel staff came out to see us off while we were leaving which was really touching . I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good ,budget friendly hotel near Assi ghat . You won't regret it !

Location is a plus and minus both. Located at Ssi ghat provided.easy access but same.tike a not so soothing surrounding. Need to work on maintenance. Rooms are redesigned and few are good. I love the interiors of Room #29. Not so Senior Citizens or disabled person friendly. Only rooms at the ground floor can be booked for them.

Stayed at the hotel for 10 days researching for my writing. I could not have chosen a better place . The proximity to the Ghat is great - a minute’s walk and you are on Assi Ghat. There is ample space for parking. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. The rooftop has a wonderful view of the Ganges. Very well managed by Mr Madan Mohan Pandey who is a very well read & knowledgeable person. I got amazing inputs and guidance from him about Kashi . Spend an hour with him and you will not need a guide or a book to explore Kashi. I was happy I chose this hotel . Perfect place for my purpose. Thank you Madanji ….

The hotel is located very close to the ghat. The rooms are decent . Excellent hospitality and always greeted with smiles, though the service is slow. The food is highly okay. Food is freshly prepared. Overall a pleasant stay

A very pleasant and cozy place. Polite and friendly staff. We were helped in all our requests. Delicious cuisine and a magnificent view from the roof of the Ganges. This is the best place to stay to enjoy the beauty and goodness of Varanasi

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff exudes genuine friendliness, ensuring that every need is promptly addressed with politeness and professionalism. Delicious and very yummy food that satiates both the palate and the soul. What truly enhances the experience is the hotel's prime location, nestled within walkable distances to different Ghats (specially Assi Ghat, which takes 3 minute walk) and historically rich temples. A perfect blend of impeccable service and prime location. Highly recommended for any traveler seeking the best of both worlds!

Excellent hospitality by each and every member of the team. Comfortable rooms and good quality food. Great location and easy navigation around the place. The location , behaviour of the staff and the unique flavour of Varanasi satisfies the mind and soul to its fullest. Overall great experience- will be a memorable and interesting trip. Highly recommended.

Additional star for the location, but the sewage drain sends lots of mosquitoes in room. Bit concerning when you have toddlers. Bedsheets were clean, bathrooms were clean. Actually pretty good for the value we paid for 4 people.

"The owner is friendly, and the rooms are well-maintained and clean. However, there is an open sewer in the back of the building. The food was enjoyable, and the staff was helpful until the tip was paid. Unfortunately, they declined assistance with luggage after receiving the tip."

The location is great and the hotel has its own parking. The hotel doesn't have any fixed tariff and booking in advance will be 30 percent more than the walk-in tariff. Overall okay. The view of Maa Ganga from the balcony is good.

Lovey stay. Phillip is the best! Very kind and hospitable. He helped arrange a morning sunrise boat tour and a taxi to the airport, and he helped us with pricing. The room was good and in a very good location. Good value for the stay. Would recommend!

Hotel Temple On Ganges gave us the most desirable experience of Varanasi. They provide best budget rooms with great view. Waking up with the view of Ganges from bed was a truly thrilling experience. Quality and quantity of food require a special mention. Homely food was served as per our preference. This is undoubtedly the best hotel near Assi ghat. We will definitely come back here again. 🙂

I’ve stayed here several times before. The staff are always efficient, friendly and professional. The room is clean, well designed with an en suite bathroom, clean towels bedding etc whenever needed. Food (the cost included breakfast) is delicious and the menu offers many options for all meals. The location is right next to Assi ghat with the twice daily aarti ceremony as well as other cultural programs. The hotel is in its own courtyard which makes it more peaceful and secluded. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

The place was good with spacious rooms and good environment. Rooftop with dining is a highlight for this place with scenic view of ghat. The food facility however was not upto the mark. However looking at the overall perspective I would recommend this property as assi ghat is at the walking distance.

The location of the hotel is great to visit Varanasi. The hotel room is nice and you have enough space. Bathroom is ok. The restaurant is small and not very cosy. There is a nice roof terrace, but it is not used to serve anything. The area around the hotel is dirty, a lot of rubbish is dumped behind the hotel.

Hotel Temple on Ganges is best hotel in Varanasi. Recently stayed at this property with our 7 months old baby. This hotel is on Assi Ghat with great view of Ganges. Staff are very polite and helpful. This hotel also has parking facility which is very rare in Varanasi. The rooftop room is the best.

Stayed with my family from April 1st to 3rd and the stay was well arranged as per our conversation. Staff was very friendly and helpful to guide for all plans. Food was as similar to home cooked food. Owner of the hotel were helpful in arranging vehicles for the sight seeing on shot notice. Would recommend the place for families and group bookings. Close to Assi Ghat and marvelous veiw points. Safe to reach the hotel anytime of the day.

The rooms were cozy, well-maintained.The staff was very supportive. The owner of the hotel was really awesome, he is a man of his words. Honestly, we went there with no plans ahead but he made us a plan. He made our trip a memorable one.The ambience of the rooftop is unmatchable, you won't get that vibe in cafes around there as well😅. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Thanks ♥️
