Worst Experience with this hotel. Rude & harsh behaviour with the guests. I booked one four bed AC room and paid 50% room rent as booking in three days advance. But in last moment at arrival they informed these rooms were not available. This lodge is very near to temple. I found lodge to be clean. Mr.Tiwari is an extremely rude person and arrogant in nature & disrespect guests. The properties in this area are very old. In this property rooms are lacking proper maintenance. The worst hotel. Here are our experience for 3 night stay this week - 1. Bedsheet remains same for the entire stay. No action taken after number of requests. Only good thing is very near to temple. Costly to stay . No lift . STAIRCASE TOO HIGH. No locker facility. 11 am checkout mandate. Don't recommend at all the hotel..

This lodge is quite better compare to other. pros: 1. service persons are very helpful and cooperative. 2. rooms and washrooms are clean enough. 3. Main temple is just in the next lane, maximum close as possible. 4. it is located in the main market, so food are shops options are plenty. cons: 1. it is located pretty much inside from the main road. 2. lanes are narrow, but you can't help it. 3. rooms are smaller, could be a little bigger. 4. staircases are horrible to climb. despite of all these cons, this stay could be pretty much affordable and comfortable also.

Our guest booked room in this hotel but hotel authority denied to give any room and miss behave with our guest. While we have shown the advance payment screenshot. They told me sorry all room are sold. Concerne person arrange room another poor quality hotel. There was no any attached toilet. Room was very dirty . Not coming day light inside the room Lot of harrasment to our guest.

The dustbin did not cleaned for the entire season. Only when we threatened them that I'll spread all the garbages in their lobby on day 3, their boy came and cleaned it. 3. We had booked 2 AC rooms for 3 nights through Goibibo. During our check-in, they directly denied saying no AC rooms are available. As we were totally exhausted through our long journey, we had no option but to check in to non-AC rooms. 4. No room service available. You've to walk for about 700-800m to reach the road for food or drink. Atleast bottled water should have available. 5. The staffs were rude in behaviour. I really surprise to their behaviour how they're running such business. The only good side of this lodge is the location, it is just beside the Kashi Vishwanath temple. However it's in a 3 feet wide gully, so don't expect an Ola, Uber or other cab services will take you there. Once again, no gentleman policy will work here. You need to be rude more than them.

This lodge is very near to temple. I found lodge to be very clean. Rooms are small but do the job. Opt for room without attached as they are bigger. Its just beside Annapoorna so you get awesome food. Only thing I found missing was non-availability of hot drinking water during morning as kitchen start after 7 am. It they provide a common kettle, it would be very helpful. You will find this lodge to be in narrow lanes but its a big plus point when you see the varanasi traffic. Going to ghats temples is very smooth as everything is nearby. Traffic decreases only after 10.30 pm

When I am going to Varanasi, staying in this lodge. It is just few minutes walking distance to Gate No. 2 and 4, next building is Maa Annapurna bhojonalay and also very near to Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Location is very much interior to main road. No vehicle can go there. You have to carry your luggage atleast 500 meters by walk in very narrow crowded lane. So it is better to keep your luggage somewhere else. It is near to main temple, market n ghats. Staff is cooperative. Rooms are small. Stairs are horrible. Aged people can't climb. There is no lift.

The owner Mr.Manoj is a descent person. However the manager is rude and arrogant. The properties in this area are very old. In this property rooms are lacking proper maintenance. The property is close to Gate 2 of Kashi Vishwanath temple which is the only thing that is good. Unable to recommend this place for anyone especially for elders who won't be able to climb up steep stairs. Even basic cleaning is hard to come by due lack of staffs currently. Surprisingly their behaviour is like they're doing you some kind of favour by letting you stay in the property like it's some kind of free Ashram and expect you to give top ratings after you are done with the ordeal. Horrible!

Mannerless Managers very congested paid 50% advance and stayed for one day but denieing to return my deposit and giving mi dhamki for asking return. Don't pay any advance before seeing location and transport facility. They know, no one will book this hotel after seeing location that's why asking for full advance so costomer can easily be trapped.

Spoke to them on phone 3 days before reaching varanasi...they said everything is fine at the lodge,hot water facility is available & but when i visited the lodge they have changed there words and said hot water is not available & forced me to take large room for 2 of us which is of no use. Reaching this location is very tough..only positive thing is the location as it is located jst beside the main temple.

Is the best hotel in varanasi. Near kashi vishwanath temple. Between gate no 1 and 2. Staff and manager is very helpful and polite. 24 hours is good service. One of the best place to stay.

Worst Experience with this hotel. Rude & harsh behaviour with the guests. I booked three double bed AC rooms and paid 50% room rent as booking in three days advance. But in last moment on arrival date they informed these rooms were not available, but would accommodate us in two four bed AC rooms with same double bed room tariff. The passage to the hotel is so narrow, difficult to move with luggages. While booking they committed to send their staff to pick up luggages from nearby Chaurah, but on arrival in late night nobody came inspite of several calls. While checking out they demanded full rent for four bed rooms and denied their earlier commitments. Suddenly the man in reception started abusing us in very rude and harsh voice and forced us to pay Rs.1000 more than agreed rents. The matter was informed to the owner of the hotel, but he even commented in favour of his staff. My advice to public not to book this hotel online in advance just seeing the locational proximity to Kashi Viswanath temple, but to see yourself the amenities and customer behaviour the hotel provides.

Could not stay even after paying as elderly people cannot climb stairs even to is much clumsy...don't choose to stay if you have elderly people with you and they won't even provide refund if you cancel the stay before check in.

I have just visited Varanasi and stayed in Golden lodge for 3 days. I spoke to the hotel owner Mr Manoj Rai before booking. I booked one 4 beded room for 3 days and paid 50 percent of charges in advance. When i along with my family reached at the hotel, one of his employee said we have allotted 2 different double bed room as all the 4 beded room are occupied. Even 1 room did not have attached bath. So, i refused to take it. Next morning when i spoke to the owner, he said that tomorrow we will give you 4 beded room. Next day i spoke to the owner but he said that they don't have non Ac 4 beded room available. When i spoke to him before booking, he said that he kept 4 beded room for us. I had to settle with whatever was offered to me as i had already paid money in advance. The behaviour of the employees are extremely bad. Room condition is pathetic. Even it was not cleaned even once. The owner was not at all cooperative. My experience with Golden lodge is pathetic and horrible. So, i would request everyone to think 100 times before booking in this hotel. Worst hotel

Please note that carefully fully. If you visit solo / single then it's good hotel room for your all needs, If with family then don't stay here rooms are too short approximately 80 to 95 sqft only. Location is great but very congested and rushfull. I will be suggest you if you have bugdet then come out and take good rooms Thanks

Totally forged place Ill mannered staff Toilets size of match box lots of inconvenience for ladies. No guidance to reach the lodge It's very difficult to locate this place No facilities. Refrain yourself from visiting such awful place Cheap doesn't mean u can deprive customers of basic facilies

1. Location is a major plus, all the famous landmarks are close by 2. Clean and big rooms with AC and wifi 3. Clean toilets 4. Mr. Manoj Rai (Owner/Manager) is a thorough gentleman, very well-behaved and helpful 5. The staff were also very helpful, they even helped us in dropping our luggage to the autostand. I will definitely recommend the Hotel

Very bad experience..extremely ill-mannered and misbehaving staff at the main counter. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want near to the Mandir. Only advantage is that it is close to Kashi Vishwanath Mandir.
