The view of the Ganga from Sun Rise Lodge is amazing. It feels like you have your private corner while you are on the ghats. You get a panoramic view of the ghats from this hotel, especially Room No 8.....probably the smallest but the best room in this property. Must also mention that Mannu ji, who manages/owns this business is a very nice and helpful person. When he says 'Welcome home', it means a lot.

How to begin reviewing this property? Let's start with the location. It is a 1.5 away from PDR Mall. And you will have to walk the whole stretch as no auto/car is allowed beyond PDR. Yes it is by the side of River Ganga, however, if you have any elderly person in your family, this property is not recommended. Now let's talk about the staff. If you even request an additional bottle of water, the staff starts complaining in manner that you don't deserve to drink water. Lastly, the owner. This person is the worst aspect of the property. This person is a paramount unprofessional. Not providing AC inspite of charging for an AC room might be as low as they come. P.S. Adding a couple of videos of the state of Room number 4. Next time you book, please make an informed choice.

I can’t imagine I could find better place in Varanasi! Perfect location right at the river bank with access to the gath. Super friendly and helpful staff. You can get over there a tasty food, drinks, help with any activities you would like to do, tours and whatever you need them to help you with. My room was very tidy with hot water available all the time, very quite as it was on the top floor, with access to almost private terrace, aircon, towels, fan etc. Having in mind this is the old town area of Varanasi this place could be considered as very high standard! If I’m ever back in town this is the place I will definitely stay in!

Sunrise Lodge is home away from home. The location is superb all important ghats (Dashashmedh ghat), Vishwanath Mandir, Annapurna Mandir is 5 minutes away. The main market is also with in 10 mins. The owners Vikash Mehrotra and Rahul Mehrotra is superb host. They have helped us with all needs. Food is homely. I will recommend this place to all of you. Wifi , Hotwater ,AC all works well. Whenever I am coming to Varanasi, I will stay here only.

Not sure about anything else. But owner cancelled our booking despite already booked with advance. He did it on just the previous night. Very unprofessional behavior. He must have got a better rate for his room. He refunded the advance amount though. The balcony view is awesome

Such a wonderful property with spritual vibes....divine ghat views...helpful staff as well as owner of this property..!! Really its the home away from home..or even more better than home...!! Rooms are compact but comfortable..!!!! Best place to stay that close to ghat...!!! Wonderful......!!!!! You can't catch this vibed anywhere else in such amount

I had a great stay in sunrise lodge. Manu Ji was warm and welcoming and I felt safe there even as a solo female traveler. Varanasi itself was a little challenging for me, but this lodge is a gem. I honestly recommend it if you want to stay near the main ghats. The price is reasonable too.

I stayed 10 days at Sunrise Lodge. The location on the rive of Ganga, the staff, food, accommodations of Lodge, environnement, shops around, everything Was perfecto !!!!!!! Very plaisant place, With full hot shower Night And Day, the Chef is brillant, the owner Always gaved good advices, the prices Very correct..... No doubt Sunrise Lodge is the place To stay in varanassi..!!!

"Atithi dev bhaba" as they said also do it well. All the staff and the owner behaviour to politics and friendly and also helpful. And the location was to good.

Worst rooms with tiny washrooms...though the behaviour was good, very poor at cleaniless...not worth staying though i wonder how they manage high ratings...

We are very happy for choosing this lodge for our family trip..they are very good people..Mannu bhaiya & Rahul bhaiya.Oneday for dinner we got rotten sabzi..but when we were said this they accept their fault and immediately serve fresh food..Good service,good food,good people..

This is the best place to stay, near Ganga Maa. Being a Solo traveller I have a very pretty good experience here in terms of basic needs, like Bed, Western toilets, Tea whenever required, also very near to Manikarnika, Dashashmegh Ghat. Staff are also very cooperative and treated very respectfully, next time I will definitely visit along with my entire family.😊

Perfect location if you want a stay right next to a ghat. Also, since this is right on meer ghat which is not too crowded either so this makes it more wonderful. The owner and the staff are so very polite and helpful. Don’t expect way too many amenities here as the price is very suitable for just a stay. It is a very ‘banarasi’ property. Loved this place

Sun Rise Lodge, Meer Ghat, Varanasi, is a nice budget stay for travellers and pilgrims who are satisfied with the basic amenities, and do not opt for luxury. The owner, Sri Vikas Mehrotra, is a very jovial person who will guide you with everything including the other places of visit in and around Varanasi. The staff are very decent and cooperative, and the location of the Lodge is prime, on the Meer Ghat, yards away from the Dasashwamedh Ghat, with a clear view of the holy Ganga, and a 4 - 5 min. walk from Sri Kashi Viswanath temple and Sri Vishalakkhi Shaktipeeth temple.

Nice place to stay beside the Ganges.A few river view rooms are available.You even can enjoy the Ganga Arati from the balcony from a distance. Rooms, bathrooms are small, but clean.There is also a restaurant,food quality is good.They even prepared food for my little daughter. Rahul ji is a very nice person.The behaviour of the owner and staff is very good.One can feel a homely atmosphere. I must recommend this guest house for budget travelers who are seeking accommodation near the Holy Ganges and also Biswanath Temple.

This Sunrise lodge is another home in Kasi for all people. Every staff including Manager is very very friendly and helpful to everyone. Santhosh will never disappoint you when you need a room in last minute as well... Overall it is the best place for stay and they cook awesome... Har Har Mahadev...

Have been in this place last few visits, Mannu ji is very helpful and brother like- a family friend person promptly responds to any queries and staff is ok.. one wouldn't regret as the location is one of the best in Varanasi.. a minute to Varahi Mata temple, 2 minutes to Kashi Visalakshi mata Temple, Ganga Arati is visible from Balcony of Hotel itself by walk its 3 minutes away and 5 minutes to Shri Viswanatha Jyotirling Temple and Ganga ghat is always visible from room :) so noone would ask for more..

Wonderful place to stay in Banaras. You can enjoy every day walking on ghats, Ganga bath, also Kashi Vishwanath mandir is very close. Polite staff, Neat and Clean rooms, Ganga view terrace will make your stay unforgettable. We were so satisfied, that stay for 6 days, instead of 3. Next time will stay there again! Beside mirghat. View from hotel is too good. Fooding lodging availavle. Service is very good. Owner mannu uncle is so guiding. They provide car or auto for sightseeing and as per your requirement. Kashi viswanath temple is only 2 min away walking distance from here. If rooms available, will visit again if i visit benaras again.
