Worst Hostel to book in Varanasi. Don't get allured by their name and pictures while making the decision to book this hostel. After booking the rooms from their website, you are told that rooms are not available. Mr. Deepak wasn't even answerable, why we were being denied the accomdation. He repeatedly kept telling us, there's no reason, but we just can't give you the room. Maybe, as their name suggests, they only care about white guests and not Indian guests. If the owners are seeing this review, please clarify on your website, "Dogs and Indians are not allowed". For the reply on my review, Please share the call recording with me, where I have used any abusive language with your staff. Sue me in court if I have used any abusive language. Since you're such a prestigious institution, I believe you would certainly record calls you recieve for any business enquiry. And answer me, Why was room suggested and promised to me by your staff against my requirement. I was ready to make direct payment, when my website payment was failed. I have chats as proofs also. No valid reason was provided to me denying me accomadation. Maybe you too have a bad taste in providing service to Indian customers who are wanting to give you business. Come to terms with the fact that you only want white people as customers, so that Indians like me don't get fooled by your fake suggestions and promises. And for your information, I don't need to research for all the filthy reviews you've got from the Indian guests. Never have I ever come across any other hostel so neat and clean, with the staff being so helpful and friendly. The owner needs special mention for the motherly care with which she treats each of her guests.

It was only one day, but it turned out to be a very good time. The building is new and the design inside is also stylish. The staff always cares and the cleaning is perfect. They made me feel very welcome even though I checked in late. Thank you so much to all the staff, bikash and bab, who are more human than that. We will definitely come back again. this has been one of the best stay of my life for sure, everything was perfect about this particular property, the owner was full of hospitality and the manager (bikash bhaiya) was very helpful in every aspects, he helped me lot and guided me regarding places to visit in varanasi and was available over the call 24/7, he was a great host and i enjoiyed my time in this property, this property and varanasi now has a special pace in my heart

Unfortunately,the hostel does not live up to the reputations of being an International Travellers Hostel and in our experience did not provide the basics you would expect of a hostel We booked hostel so we can have some good vibe and some entertainment.what is difference between hostel and hotel then? We opted to stay at ITH rather than similar priced hotels. they don't provide what they commit and it's really not a money worth place. When we asked for a money refund and complaint about there attitude they replied us by saying to stay in dharmshala isn't rude ? I am really not the whiny gripping type, but I should have saved myself and stayed elsewhere.

Hi Everyone! What a stay?? International or national hostel? Worst services , charges 9k for one room with no services , no cleanliness, food is quite worst!! No proper cook , charges too high in comparison to services!! What they committed for food , they don't provide at all!! Unprofessional services!! They have mentioned that they will provide live music but after reaching even after having 80% occupancy , there was no such entertainment!!

Thank you very much to the whole team!! It was a real pleasure to stay at this hostel. The rooms and common areas are beautiful, tastefully decorated, and clean. Peaceful and quiet location, as well as strategic: close to the train and bus station. The products offered are of high quality. Exceptional and very appreciable hospitality. We were faced with several difficulties outside the framework of the hostel, and the team helped us, thank you very much to everybody. We felt like home in this place.

We had the room in the garden. The daylight and garden view were nice, but don't expect a fancy, new room. Room was basic and bathroom old. It was not clean: dust, spiderwebs and a lot of chalk. Matrass was very hard. They have a nice and cozy garden. You can use the laundry machine for 100 roepies. And important for us: we could park the motorbike safe in the gated yard. The neighborhood is quiet but be aware that it takes some time to go to the Ghats.

I truly loved staying at this Hostel. Everything was so perfect at this here. The first thing I look at any resident is bathroom and here I got the best from my all journeys. Another is free mineral water, next thing is hostel is so clean. Better bed. Everything was perfect and I would love to stay here again if I visit Varanasi. One thing I'm missing are the staffs, they were so helpful and humble. Loved interacting with them. Bathroom, bed, Room, Water facility, Garden, Building, Location, Staffs, etc, all these at a good price is so so so good. I would extremely recommend everyone to stay here.

With the given price range, it was not worth family stay. Single bathroom for 6 beds. Water was coming into the living room hall. No security in the room hall. Anyone can enter into room anytime. You can not close door. Staff and service were good. Common area was good.

I had booked for a week stay at the hostel. It is hands down the best place to stay for travel enthusiasts. It very clean, has amazing work staff, rooms are pleasant, laundry is available and the bathrooms are maintained very well. You can meet amazing people during your stay too. It has close vicinity to popular places and the garden is soo peaceful to relax after a day of exploring the amazing city. I will recommend this place to anyone who's traveling to varanasi and am sure going to visit again. Special mention to manager Mr. Bikash, who is very chill, helpful in suggesting places, even willing to show us around and was more like a friend to all the travelers there.

Hands down one of the best trips of my life, and The Hosteller gets all the credit. The property was cozy and quaint, the staff was extremely warm and made you feel right at home, and the energy screamed Varanasi through and through. Best part? The fellow travellers I met. I brought back new friends and life long memories with me, all thanks to The Hosteller. Cherry on top of the cake was definitely the hostel Manager, Bikas Singh!

A bit far from the main attractions but close to the bus and train stations. The rooms had very nice installations. Unfortunately the female dorm bathroom was not cleaned while I was there.

I spent 5 days here and the services and room is awesome. The location is perfect , near railway station and market but quite calm. The staff Vikas and Rajesh are quite helpful. The food is yummy and like home. I will recommend to stay here if you want to enjoy staying in banaras. Love to stay here again if I will go to banaras.

We booked a private room. When we first got here, the room was cleaned very well and smelled amazing. It wasn't until a few hours, we noticed the smells getting progressive worse. The bathroom smelled like sewer and there was no way to het rid of it. This is probably a plumbing defect more than a cleanliness issue. The room also had a leakage through the wall from the washing machine drain, which we discovered on the last day when all of a sudden one of the backpacks was completely soaked. Other than that, the room is a good size and nicely decorated. The bed is a bit too hard though (almost mo mattress). The food is fine (the pancakes are great) but note that the service is quite slow. It can take more than an hour to get your drinks or breakfast. The guy at the front desk was really nice and tried his best to help us with stuff, but his English wasn't great so it was a bit difficult at times. The hostel itself is located a bit outside of the center, so you have some travel time for the sightseeing, but when you get back you can enjoy the peace and quite in the garden or on the lovely balcony terrace. The lights make it a beautiful sight when it's dark. All in all the place is fine, but something needs to be done about the poor plumbing. That would've made our stay a lot more pleasant.

One should definitely stay in ITH, as the place has a great vibe altogether, we had a pleasant stay, the place was quite clean and hygienic, and the host and staff was very nice (Vikas and Rajesh), they made sure I had a memorable birthday. I definitely did not expect it to go this way. But thanks to them. They have a beautiful garden setup, since I love plants, it was a plus one to the stay. We would definitely come back to this place, when we come again..

It was a very nice and cosy stay! However there were some things that could have been better. For instance, there was no provision for locking the room from the outside and the bathroom was on another floor. It was a nice stay otherwise.

A really nice place to stay in Varanasi...just near (walking distance) the BNB railway station. Host and the staff (specially Vikas) are quite friendly and helpfull. They even organized an amazing new year party, which really exceeded our expectations.

This was the first time we were staying at a hostel and it was a very nice experience, the place was well maintained and clean, It was fun to hangout at the garden/sit out in the evenings. The manager Mr.Bikash is very warm-hearted and made sure we enjoyed our stay there.

I love the ambience and Staffs Behaviour. But I think the price of the Hostel is little higher than others. Wifi and Kitchen also Good. Gardening with Dinning area was perfect combo.

It was a great experience of vacation stay. The Land Lady residing in the property was taking special care of us. The manager Bikash Singh and his assistant Deepak was also very curious to fulfill our needs

Great place to stay for both individuals and groups. Very pleasant and helpful staff. There is a certain calmness to the place one can feel, even though it is in the city center. Will recommend to one and all, to give it a try.

I was visiting Varanasi with my wife and I booked this place via Airbnb and I am highly disappointed. The reason for this is below. We opted for a double room. Privacy is a basic need for any couple and we didn't get the same in this room. This room is created by segregating it from the bigger room by creating a glass and wood panel and covered by wooden block to prevent from seeing inside, here lies the actual issue. If you speak inside then it is clearly audible outside , there is atleast 1 inch of gap in the door bottom making things easily audible outside. Same can be verified by seeing the pics which i have posted. When I brought the same to notice of Manager Bikash and requested him another room he told me that all of the other rooms are booked. Later when I saw their other room listed for the same day on MakeMyTrip and other apps I contacted the same and brought it to his notice then he showed me 2 of the available rooms and of those two I found one suitable and later he told me that I will have to pay the difference in the amount which was around 800rs. Now here lies the issue. They should have clearly posted the picture of the room and it's door and front wall on Airbnb so that I could have made an informed decision before booking. He said that no one else has complained before, i cannot believe that part. Even if no one did still it's not right to keep such an important part of information hidden from the guest. There was a common area right outside the door of our room and our bed was 2 feet away from that door. Absolutely no sort of privacy in terms of sound. The washroom which was mentioned in the Airbnb listing was very different from the ones which was provided to us. Ideally they should have upgraded the room without asking to pay for difference because they hid this part of information when they listed their property on Airbnb. This room can be okay for a single person but not for any couple as anyone outside your room can clearly hear what you are saying or doing. I have screenshots of the airbnb listing which they did if anyone wants that I can share the same for their reference. Note: I left their property within 10-15 mins after he asked me to pay the money for the switch of rooms, later I booked Hotel Pearl and if anyone is interested can see that review. It costed me around 4000 but still better than staying with the people who don't care. Thanks.
