Nice place for artists of all sorts backpacking India and wishing to explore and express their creativity with like-minded travelers in the Varanasi area (India). The place offers both Air B&B and shared basic accommodation for those who would prefer a community feel and experience, with shared cooking and meals.

It is such a peaceful and quiet place. It is the best place to stay in varanasi, for sure. Its good to come down from the crazy city tours. The owner is a very warmly person. You come in and feel welcome. And it is very clean, the bathroom and also the rooms. Its just like home!

Is the best place we've stayed in India. You are very chill, feel like a community socializing with others, very artsy, the host is the best, they have wifi, no AC but fans. Very good option out of the noisy city and out of ordinary.

Established at a walkable distance from the Manduadih Railway Station, this homestay offers everything that a backpacker wants. Ideal for everyone on a shoestring budget Ganges Nirvana is a welcoming experience and an interactive space created by Shashwat. Shashwat was the most wonderful host I could ask for. But what I really appreciate the most is that along within basic amenities one gets a homelike environment. You can chose to spend time by yourself, or interact with the other guests staying here in all good spirits. Sharing experiences, food etc. The vicinity is calm with easy connectivity, and the homestay gives the guest full flexibility in terms of their stay and plans in the city. Late nightouts and early morning departures are all taken care of with the host's excellent communication. Thank you Shashwat! Definitely spreading the word about this. :)

This is the perfect place for all the bag packers because this is not a hotel or normal stay, it's a community where all come together and share their love and cook and eat together. It's more of family more than a normal stay. Please do visit this home if you ever come to varanasi.

If you are in your journey of serach, transformation or healing, then Ganges Nirvana is where you must stay and explore the ancient city. Here you will find travelers from all over the world and the host has created a beautiful space and community with the help of travelers itself that gives you a wide exposure to life and universe. You can find and do anything and everything there. You can find your home in Varanasi at Ganges Nirvana. You can contribute in anyway you want. I am glad to have an opportunity to cook for around 15 travelers, I drew and painted there. Thank you shashwat for creating such a community. I would surely go there again and would recommend every traveler.

if you read this review, then you don‘t need to doubt anymore: go straight to ganges nirvana and let the magic unfold. i have stayed at shashwats house almost a week and enjoyed the sense of living together. after so many hostels and hotels it was beautiful to cook and even clean. but the best thing are the people you meet. it was destiny that i have been there, because shash told me about osho and without him i would not have ended up at that tantra fetsival in delhi.... and now everything changed in my live. i am sure varanasi and ganges nirvana have something for you too!

Me, my wife and Kid stayed here for 7 nights and it was a memorable stay ever! Location was away from crowded Banaras ghat, walking from Ganges Nirvana to the ghat was the best thing we did in Varanasi. We explored locals on the way, tasted cheap and tasty local food, visited saree making factory on the way and in the end visited Ganga ghats! My kid had a great time playing and discussing with other guests from all over the world. Looking forward to staying again!

😠 Very unsafe place. I made the booking in advance and payment was also done. As soon as i reached after 18 hours of travel, i was denied the room saying the specific room is blocked and not available. The staff was very rude. The room was not ready even by 2:30 for checkin time of 1:00 pm. The staff...
