It's a memorial birth place of a great Hindi writer of all times named Munsi Premchandji. This place is based on Hindi literature mostly on Indian villages and their lifestyle, it is about 32kms form the city Banaras.

To remember our hindi novelist and writer premchand then vist at Lamhi, Varanasi. A huge respect came from heart to see that place. But u.p govt. Needs to increase the area of premchand memorial. The place reminds you about their literature like गोदान, ईदगाह , सेवासदन, दो बैल की कथा, पंच परमेश्वर, etc.

A peaceful place on the outskirts of Varanasi. It's so small, you won't even notice it if you just pass by it. The caretaker inside is very welcoming and will tell you all about the place and Premchand's life and open up the house for you to visit. There's also a reading room where you can sit and read the books for free.

It's a place where u can see how Hindi literature was done and how the writers of that era lived. The devotion they had was now the stories but the truth will make ur heart heavy.

Pathetic condition of goods of premchand.. absolutely no investment and no maintenance of belongings of such a great writer..why can't it turned to be in a museum rather than an open space where his books are eating muds.
