I stayed three nights at Vagabond in Varanasi. The rooms were okay, nothing special but do their purpose. The facilities offer a restaurant and a rooftop. However, I feel it is not layed out for Westeners. In general, I felt like the hostel owner tries to make money wherever he can and pretends to be your supporter while here in Varanasi even being not. First day I did a boat tour with the hostel. They were rushing through the super crowded streets nearly loosing parts of the group and after the tour (at night!) no one was there to pick me up to the hostel without mentioning that before so I could have been prepared. I am a solo female traveler and at least would have expected some sort of consideration from their side in terms of safely getting back. Varanasi is intense and luckily I had data to make my way back alone. Also with my departure I had rather bad experience. I know the taxi fares for taxis from the airport to the city and back. Again, the owner tried to charge insane amount of money leaving me a the end with organising a drive at 4am on my own. I would not stay again, just because I would appreciate more honesty and sincerity. When you travel a foreign country you rely on the people around you having only the best intentions for you in mind and unfortunately here I really did not feel so.

In the middle of the old city. Great rooftop restaurant with a unique style of indo-chinese food in the Mud House restaurant upstairs. Very well spoken hosts. Must-stay if you want to get a feel of the old Varanasi.

The hostel is the best there is, I went there with my friend, Ashish, and we had the time of our life. I’ll even go as far as to say it the best hostel in varanasi, be it hospitality or the overall vibe of the place, I am impressed to say the least. We even met two groups of girls there and socialised with them, so the hostel’s vibe is good enough for you to make social connections. Raj bhaiya is one of the best of not the best host there could be, his humble nature and authenticity really impressed me. Moreover, the hospitality shown by him, his team and his staff is outstanding. You can only put bags in the luggage room upto 9 pm after checking out, we breached the time limit (to 12am) like true idiots. I expected him to be irritated but Raj bhaiya was very calm and understanding and even waited for us to reach hostel to collect our bags. He’ll even arrange a boat ride (with morning aarti) and night walk on ghats for you. Rest all I want to say that the hostel made our stay in Varanasi special. I will be visiting varanasi again and bet that I’ll be staying here again.

Good points Best location Cooperative staff Balcony in room Bad Points -But, ceiling fan was missing. -Geyser was not working. -Tap in bathroom room not working properly. -TV was missing. -They didn't arrange extra bed for third person.

Good hotels in Banaras and I stay here 2 days So, my experience is nyc and affordable price . Service is very good and one thing in there one cafe on top floor looking fabulous 🙂 i give rating this hotel 5 🌟🌟

Don't consider this property if you are more than 5'7" tall. You will definitely hit your head in their toilets gates. They are just 5'4' in height and I hit my head in them more then 4 times. I am only 5'10" tall and still its uncomfortable for me to manage here. Otherwise the hostel is good. This can be improved but I don't know why they playing with them.

Big rooms, big lockers under the bed, cheap, fast check-in. No hot water and the electricity was weak (took a long time to charge my phone). Location isn't in an ideal place and it's very noisy outside throughout the night.

You might feel it is main centre of city, but trust me it is awesome if you a solo or a group traveller. The cost is very affordable and space /ambience, hospitality everything was great... also the raj who owns this place they are doing well and coopretive

It was a very nice place to stay. Restaraunt's, market and temples were very nearby. Pricing was also good

Electricity backup facility is provided for only light and fan in case if power cut. Ac cannot be used in such case Since it's a hostel too ...gathering too much is seen..no parking options.

it’s cheap n best place to stay in varanasi. location mean Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir. but it needs maintenance hope they will improve. but can stay there.

Great hostel considering the price. Rooms are good with AC. Quite and isolated from outside noise. Shops and restaurants nearby everywhere. 20-30 min walk to ganga river. And 30 min to railway station. Proper bathroom. Staff speak English and helpful.

We had a nice time in Vagabond stay hostel! The room was comfortable and there was hot water. The restaurant lounge area upstairs is very nice. Raj also helped us book a bus to our next destination and was kind and helpful

Very good Experience... It's very budget friendly, value for money. If you travel alone and want some peace then you have to once stay here. Near and Clean , western toilet 🚽 here😔 overall it's good experience. Helpful management. And yes from here Kashi Vishwanath temple, Bab kaal Bhairav, Mata Vishalakshi temple and ghats are very near... Walking distance approx it takes 15-20 min.

View is good but minimum food prices high room prices high seems in room and food prices other places low total in not for suitable Note budget tour in not suitable

Very good stay hostel in varanasi for travellers.....staff are friendly,rooms and beds are very clean...This is my 3rd time in this hostel but still they are maintaining same levels....loved it❤

The hostel is few kilometers from Godowlia market, Varanasi. It is 4 floors. There are private and dorm rooms. All of them have AC. The top floor has a wonderful cafe, common area. Decorated well with different colours. Room rates are reasonable. They also help conduct tours and local sightseeing in Varanasi. 3rd floor also has a small common area and you can play carrom there. There is smally playing area as well.

The rooms were good and well maintained. Have to mention about their hospitality. The manager provided us with a very good room and he guided us with many things regarding Varanasi. The place even provided us with waiting room for our luggage after checking out. The place was also recently renovated and good. The people there understands the needs of their guests.
