I dint find the place at all its not easily discoverable better not to waste your time in this place there are many other better places in Goa.This the historic place. There's cave where Pandavas had been stayed for a night. Hence it is called as pandava caves. Not really a cave, was totally confused actually, maybe i was expecting something Behind St Sebastian church, half a km North of Madgaon Railway Station.

Small cave located next to the Sebastian church. To reach this place , go inbetween the yellow church building and the yellow building next to it(check my pictures for more info). Enter the gate and look to your left. You will notice the cave. The cave is also called cave of Aquem. Not much to see here. Place looks like it has no one maintaining it.

So amazing to see an ancient dwelling like this still intact in today’s world!! TIP:- to look inside properly go to the left side of the cave which is very close to the church wall. You get an amazing view of the inside from there.

Pandava Caves is a historical and cultural attraction located in Maharashtra, India, known for its ancient rock-cut cave temples. Many visitors have praised the unique and beautiful architecture of the caves, as well as the historical significance of the site. Pandava Caves is a beautiful and important cultural attraction that has the potential to offer an amazing experience to visitors However, it may be necessary to address the concerns related to maintenance and behavior to ensure that the site is preserved and respected for future generations to enjoy.

No details or directions, the supposed 6th Century ASI asset doesn't even have a board on the main road for people to know or be aware of this heritage site. Well, it's a cave and to supercede it's purpose it's more so hidden!

It's just a small natural rock cave. With no marking or any historical significance to offer. Can be avoided.

It's a very nice place to see but some constructions arround the caves are build purposely to hide this place. We were unable find the place due to this constructions. We are also not able to see this caves from back side as the way is very narrow to go backside.

We searched for long but couldn't find it. At last a friendly guy at the church helped me out. This was a small room at the back of a church. Not visible from the road & nothing much to see. please don't bother.

My visit to Pandavas Caves was rather disappointing. There's a small cave that appears to be locked, and it seems that entry is not allowed. Unfortunately, this leaves very little to see or explore. I felt like I wasted my time by going there, and I would strongly recommend skipping this location and choosing to visit somewhere else with more to offer.

Ancient times monument significance to Mahabharat...well preserved by Goa Govnt must visit for tourist.

  • 1/5 Mehboob K. 1 year ago on Google
Its a small cave behind the church which is not visbile at all from the main road one woll have to search for it and its always locked we have been there from our childhood but has not seen anyyhing beyond the gate and i dont think it has any historical importance otherwise Archealogical dipartment would have preserved it as you can see it in shaby state. So i think google should remove it from its listing as when tourists search for historical monuments and when they read its pandvas caves so they come to visit here and gets dissapointed as its waste of their time and money. Govwrnment should look into it if it is having any historical importance then they should preserve it and beautify it.

This place is situated behind the church and not visible. No boards displayed for the location. Inside area of caves could have been cleared and lighting made to make it more attractive. Externally preserved.

It's awesome however most of the area is covered by church trust so it is a bit tricky task to locate it without taking help from local folks.

For exact location type "Shri Pancha Pandava Caves Panchmarhi"! The government has developed a huge lawn garden at the foothills of the caves. The caves themselves are sealed closed with meshed gates. The climb and view are nice. Good if you are travelling with Kids. Horse riding, kids motorcyles and car rides are accessible for entertainment alongside street shops offering maggi, and various local fruits. If you are visiting post lunch, visit Apsara Vihar/Silver falls first. They close at 3:30 PM.
