It’s a blessed place with 13 feet odd statue of lord Ganesha with history drawing back to ancient times, not very crowded, nice drive from Bangalore with lot of water bodies on way. Just attached to temple is a park, not greatly maintained but decent for a quick stroll. Temple is closed in afternoon and opens back at 3pm. Plan your visit accordingly. All in all a blessed place to visit.

This temple’s history is wonderful to know about, and speaks volumes about the power of this place. Lord Ganesha is made from Saligrama (a type of fossilised rock) and remained in the open space until Krishnadevaraya decided to build a temple with a roof. Almost always empty, one can spend quality time here at this temple. Cars can be parked nearby. A few shops near the temple offer pooja items required. A must visit temple.

The 12 foot idol is the main attraction here. The idol of Ganesha in the temple is believed to have been installed by the trimurthis -Brahma – The God of creation, Vishnu. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Sufficient parking is available. Also the road is in good condition. There are inscriptions on the temple wall that also lend evidence to the fact that Kurudumale Ganesha Temple was built during the rule of the Vijaynagara Kings. The inscriptions are all in Tamil and some even date back to the 13th century during the rule of the Hoysala Kings. Lord Ganesha is made from Saligrama (a type of fossilised rock) and remained in the open space until Krishnadevaraya decided to build a temple with a roof.

Here, Lord Ganesha is The highest point here is about 13.5 feet, and on Saturday and Sunday/Friday they have chandan alankara and vibhuthi alankara. The temple is very clean. You have space in front of the temple to park a car or two-wheeler. They are open till 12.00 noon. I am not sure about the eve timings.

What a beautiful area this temple is situated in. Just walking towards the temple one is engulfed with a sense of peace and calm. The service in temple itself is orderly and well managed .. the best part was availability of clean washroom facilities just twenty steps away from the temple... the carvings on the walls along with kannada script are delightful. Beware of monkeys that scout the area.

Absolute divine vibe !! 😇 Ganesh deity is so magnificent and pure bliss standing in front of idol 🙏 Main monolithic idol is 12 feet long and unique in its kind, This historical temple has great stories behind it and it is well connected by road. Temple is under state treasure department and sad to see historical temples under state dept administration, Because many temples which are under state dept are lack of basic facilities and State govt undertake temples only for the sake of revenue it generates and spend most of this money in elsewhere, they don't even bothered to provide some basic facilities like free drinking water, free food or Prasad, shelters, rest rooms, parking space for piligrims etc. At the same time temples run by private trust or locally private administraton are providing necessary arrangements for its piligrins even when revenue is not good and most of these services are done by charities of good heart piligrims. Best example is Chennakeshava temple near by to this Ganesh temple. Notes: 1. Small village and perfect one day outing place for bengalureans, Please make sure you carry your essentials and no shops are available for food and liquids since its located in small village and you can see only small shops. 2. Around 15 mins is required to reach from Bengaluru-Chittoor highway, google map is perfect and leads to temple without any deviation or confusions. 3. Adequate parking space may gets over crowded on weekends and holidays.

This place is truly powerful in terms of me getting my blessings come true. I had once lost my job and someone suggested that i visit this place and pray for my good fortune. Things turned out to go really well for me after I visited this temple and sought the blessings. After 6 long years when I visited this temple again to fulfil my wishes and offer my prayers for all that he's done for me, i was very much emotional and have made a special attachment with this spot. I wish to come here very soon.

This temple is a home to one of the largest idols, has a 13-and-a-half-foot Ganesha idol inside. This Ganesha idol is said to established by Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. As per the inscription this temple was built by the powerful king Krishnadevaraya in Vijayanagara Empire. Temple has temple tank. Temple is very calm and neat. We can see tamil inscription in kannada language. Parking facility and Toilet facility is there. This temple was initially built under the rule of the Cholas. At the time Ganesha idol was in open space. Later on the temple area came under the Vijayanagara Empire. In fact, the nearby Someshwara temple was built before the Ganesha temple and belongs to the Chola dynasty. https://youtu.be/kIVW3Y01ajQ

Famous and one of the oldest Ganesha temples. The statue is very big. The area is clean and the temple is well maintained. There is a park with a water pond and the park is covered with trees. This park is maintained by the Forest department. The road from Bangalore to Kurudumale is very good.

An old and famous temple near mulbagal bearing quite a bit of history. Has a huge vinayaka idol, located in a peaceful place amidst rocky hills and has a big parking area for which one has to take a left around 200m before the temple. Management of the queue can be improved on weekends and special days,wr waited close to an hour and half with no movement of people for large parts.

Kurudumale Ganesha Temple is located at Mulbagal in Kolar district of Karnataka. The temple is just 10 km from the town of Mulbagal on Srinivasapura road. One of the largest idols, which is of 13 and a half feet Ganesha idol is enshrined inside the Kurudumale Ganesha Temple. It is chiseled out of a huge monolithic 'Saligrama Shila' and is supposed to be the tallest in the world.(among Saligrama Shila carvings). It is Said to be very powerful. The deity is visited by people before starting a new job or a new phase of their life. It is believed that if a person with a pure heart asks for something from this grand idol, they will get what they want and attain higher levels of success. As Ganesha is considered the “Vighnaharta”, he will remove all your obstacles. The temple gives you a sensation of peace and tranquility, the strength and positivity of the radiating Lord Ganesha can be felt by all. The installation of the idol was done by the Trimurti and was worshipped in an open field. Hence The Vinayaka is supposed to have been there since time immemorial. Also known as Kotdari. However the temple structure is of Vijayanagar period and hence it is majestic and simple. The greatest thing about the idol is that it is one of the finest idols you will ever see. It is very very beautiful. You can appreciate its beauty better when you see it without any Alankara. Lord Shiva had worshipped here before the Samhara Kaand of Demon Tripurasura. Lord Ram and Lakshman before killing Raavan. Pandavas had also worshipped here before the battle of Kurukshetra. And, Lord Krishna had also worshipped here to ward off the disgrace on his character as he was accused of stealing Shamantaka Mani. Even till date many Gods still visit this place. **Do visit Someshwaraya Temple.
