This old building was a Turkish barracks built before the world war , now it is nominated as the Benghazi archaeological museum. Though it is still not completely prepared and still needs maintenance specially the eastern wing which part of it collapsed.

This abandoned building was the headquarter of the Osmanli military garrison in Cyrenaica based in Al Berka neighbourhoodand. It was one of the largest Osmanli military sites in North Africa while the building was surrounded by a wall covering a large area compin a number of camps. Although the building was nominated to be the National Public Museum for more than twenty years, it is still abandoned and likely to fall.

قصر البركة أو القشلة العثمانية في مدينة بنغازي هو مبنى عسكري ضخم يرجع تاريخ إنشائه إلى فترة حكم رشيد باشا الثاني (1889-1893)، وجرى الانتهاء من الجزء الأمامي منه في 1895، وتم إضافة جزأين جانبيين له في فترة الاحتلال الإيطالي لليبيا، وتتجاوز غرف القصر 360 غرفة.
